'Finally got my own way!' PTR

Hello! Have enjoyed reading your pre-trip report. Looks like we'll be at WDW almost the same time as boyfriend and I are going 6-13th Oct for my birthday! I wish they'd release the park hours soon so I can decide where to go :goodvibes

I did Keys to the Kingdom a couple of years ago and it was really good!! It took about 5 hours but we got to spend a long time learning about the details of Main Street and went on Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise. A tip is to get the first tour of the day becuase it usually means you can get into Magic Kingdom early and take photos of empty Main Street and castle :thumbsup2

We're also toying with photopass. Last year I got a card with the intention of buying one or two picture but to be honest I didn't really like them. Instead I asked the photopass man to take photos with my camera (which is a DSLR so similar quality to the ones they use).

Aw thankyou Lucy :goodvibes I know what you mean about park hours - although I'm more concerned about food popcorn:: :rotfl:

Still weighing up the tour and the possibility of US/ IoA *and* MNSSHP!! Especially as we can only really afford to do one!

With regards to Photopass, I paid $99.95, so I'd only need to "buy" 5 park photos to make it worth it, so I'm determined to ask them to take loads of pictures and try and get lots of magic ones too!

Looking forward to hearing your plans! xx

Uh-oh... just spent far too much time searching the boards :surfweb: for tips and hints on character experiences and Kidcots (see my post on trip planning board if you can help!) and stumbled across the Pick-A-Pearl experience. :wizard:

Now I need to try and convince DBF that this is also a must-do! It looks amazing! :cloud9: Anyone done this and got any tips or pictures?

Yay! Park hours have finally been released for the beginning of October! So tonight, I shall spend my evening planning parks and our restaurants... We are going commando and planning everything, because we're there for the food! If it wasn't for free dining, we wouldn't be going - so we're making the most of ADRs!

I've only just discovered this section of the board and I'm so glad i did, I've loved reading through your thread!

I can't wait to see what your meal plans are because food is a big part of our trips too :)

I think I want to write a pre-trip report now as well!

We seem to want to eat at Epcot a lot! Teppan Edo, Chefs de France, Coral Reef, Le Cellier... And of course, Food and Wine festival!

I forgot I had Slimming World tonight, so I will have to work on plans later! Tom thinks I've lost the plot, being so excited about being able to plan food!

It all sounds brilliant.... except for one bit. You know, the 'Back to work' bit. Boo! :rotfl:

Some good ADRs in there too.

Make sure you do Tower of Terror for me on 19th October - it's me birthday.;)
ADR's look great.:thumbsup2

They all look really good :)

I've started turning my holiday into a food plan as well, DBF thinks its hilarious!! I'm planning out all the CS places to eat as we have the QSDP, but I'm booking a couple of "nice" meals per week.

Looking forward to reading any more plans you make!

The thing is, we've done the rides and seen the shows ~ and don't get me wrong, I can't wait to go back and do it all again, why else do we keep returning? :thumbsup2 ~ but I'm more looking forward to doing new stuff, and that includes eating! popcorn:: I love my family, but when we've been previously, we stick to what we know!

And when I say they're our plans... I might have exagerrated :rotfl2: They're more my plans, Tom's just going along with it! We did go through a list of TS restaurants and made a shortlist... but then I made the final decisions  It's why I love him ;)

Tom is more excited about making our very own holiday film and has been busy on Photoshop making all sorts of things for our Youtube film... we don't even have a camcorder yet! :surfweb:

:rotfl:Hahaha thats brillient!! Robert is pretty much going along with what I plan, he knows he doesnt stand a chance.

Sometimes the boys do know when its best to back off and leave the planning to the experts :rotfl2:

Are you planning to drink around the world? This is something that Robert was very insistent that we do, which would be great if I wasnt such a lightweight!

I just like to be organised! :rotfl2:

I'd love to do drinking around the world - I think we'll have to share the drinks though, as our trip was a budget trip (not looking like that any more!:rotfl:)

MNSSHP - How about Harry Potter and Hermione Granger as costumes? Or is that not suitable for Disney? It just seemed Halloween enough, suitable for all ages, not too heavy for the heat, easy to put together... Tom just thinks it's too ironic for Disney! :confused3

Steffi xx

I like the idea of the Harry Potter costumes, but like your BF said might be ironic! What about a Woody and Jessie from Toy Story?

Robert is refusing to dress up for the halloween party :sad1: he isnt big on fancy dress though. x

If DH was more willing, we were younger and had more money, I would have gone for one of these pairings:

Jack Sparrow / Angelica
Jack Skellington / Sally
Woody / Jessie

Have fun deciding!

I remember seeing a tshirt with Woody's outfit on, and haven't been able to find anything since, which is why I have been looking around at other ideas.
So if anyone finds any of these type of tshirts, let me know! :rotfl:

Tom does have a Goofy top, and I guess if worst comes to the worst, we could buy a hat for him, and I could wear Minnie ears with my sisters red spotty dress!

Eek! It's done, I've booked my ADR's!

I sat down with Tom last night to check he was okay with the restaurants we'd *cough I'd cough* planned, and he chaged them all :scared1:
So... I called WDW this afternoon and booked as many as I could - I do need to call back for the last one (just outside of the 180 + 10 window!)

So, here's the revised and confirmed plan!

Monday 8th - Gatwick to Orlando. ME to CSR. DTD / CSR for dinner.
Tuesday 9th - Magic Kingdom. Cinderella's Royal Table at 9am (I'd hoped for earlier, so I might see if anything else becomes available!)
Wednesday 10th - Ohanas at 805am. Epcot. Teppan Edo at 730pm. PM EMH.
Thursday 11th - Blizzard Beach. Winterland Summerland Mini Golf.
Friday 12th - Animal Kingdom. AM EMH. T-Rex for dinner (hopefully - I couldn't get this :sad2: So I will keep trying!)
Saturday 13th - Undecied. Catch up day/ pool day / DTD... Coral Reef at 725pm.
Sunday 14th - Hollywood Studios. Sci-Fi Dine-In at 1255pm. PM EMH.
Monday 15th - Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at Park Fare at 930am. Typhoon Lagoon.
Tuesday 16th - Magic Kingdom. Crystal Palace at 105pm. MNSSHP :goodvibes
Wednesday 17th - Epcot. Le Cellier at 105pm. Food and Wine Festival Stalls for dinner :thumbsup2
Thursday 18th - Hollywood Studios.
Friday 19th - Animal Kingdom. California Grill for dinner (need to book - hoping to catch Wishes here too)
Saturday 20th - Checkout of CSR / chill out around hotel / DTD. Orlando to Gatwick (boo :sad2:)

Soooooo excited!!
