Today, I did me a little pharmacy shopping and something else....

I think I've gotten my little stash of legally-gotten-over-the-counter drugs to take with us sorted out. DH and I will probably need to cast another once-over this stash during the week; and there might be a couple more 'drug-runs' (legal, of course) to be made; but I think we're pretty much 95% there.


I also had Skiingfast's comment about my memory or lack there of......at the back of my mind. So, I stopped by a camera shop and picked up another 8 GB of memory. I now have 24 GB that I'll be taking with me. Might be enough to tide me over the first 5 days or so.



(Don't panic....I'm sure that I'll be culling down the volumes of photos to something more manageable for the TR! )

I'm always a walking pharmacy. I have certain prescription meds...but I also know what a pain it is getting just SIMPLE things like codeine is in the USA...so I take anything and everything.

Hope things go ok at work this week so you can settle into a good crossing off checklist mode...


AS for paying accommodation in advance. I actually HATE having to do that. Although if we had with Tokyo Disneyland we wouldn't have dealt with a massive price rise in AUD when the yen soared

But it leaves you at THEIR whim. You can't just leave.
Obviously Disney is different. But any other kind of accommodation I like to know they DON'T have my money so I have more negotiating power...

In my case, I'm pretty glad that I paid up for the Kowloon accommodation as well. I got it paid at a very reasonable exchange rate and it turns out that decent accommodation is pretty hard to find in Hong Kong now.

Mimi's parents will still be there and he makes the best Cajun food you can ask for, looking for a treat. Those noodles sound good, I'm hungry!
