Question on annual dues

Does anyone have an idea/project on how large the annual dues might be, say, in the next 10 or 20 years? This is a concern when I do a spreadsheet and add the recommended 2 or 3 percent annual increase. Thank you.

they could be much higher.

on the other hand, imagine that you're in 1982 and you're paying $15 for a 1 day ticket. i guess you'd think if tickets were $85 per day in 30 years, no one would be going to wdw anymore, huh?

70 bucks a night at the contemporary in 1980? a gallon of gas was $1.25?

things change. it probably won't shock you as much once you get there... ;)

Back when I was doing the math before purchasing, the estimated annual increase percentage being tossed around was 3 to 3.5% so I calculated using those numbers. It is staggering to see how much you could end up paying in dues over the lifetime of the contract. The total cost of the dues far exceeds the original purchase price.

The increase is usually around 3% or so. This year some resorts went up 8%.

It may be a coincidence but DVC just got a new management team and the old team was fired for setting the dues for Aulani too low. Disney will be paying the difference in the dues amount for previously sold points for the life of the contracts.
