Did the front of the SM rocket have more leg room? I'm still trying to figure out if hubby will be comfortable riding it as it was closed in 2009 and I read that might be the only ride he may have issues with.

Oh my gosh, Danielle I have been such a bad friend lately!! I'm so sorry! I've been crazy busy lately and haven't gotten time to catch up on your TR. I have a cup of coffee and some time now though so here I go!

I totally missed you telling everyone about the job situation. It has been forever since we talked about it the first few times, they really dragged it out huh? I've had a good feeling about it the whole time though. I mean it'd just be so perfect, how could it not work out?! Fingers crossed (Still!).

I noticed earlier maybe in your PP pics that you had gotten some Mickey hands! I'm glad you got some to match Matt. DUCKTALES! Oh dear, I remember these shirts....that means it's bye bye time soon.

Could the characters be any cuter in their beachy outfits?! All that food looks delicious. I considered changing our character breakfast from CM to there, but ended up not. I think we might try it next time.

I am super glad you got to experience the sheer terror that is SM in the front seat. I did it twice over the course of our week and it is frightening for sure. You guys are just two peas in a pod with that ride photo.

Aziz Ansari actually did a Q&A on reddit.com the other day and answered my question of whether or not he called chicken parm "chicky chicky parm parm" in real life... He said he doesn't, but he does call them "sammies"! Hahaha.

We are so ridiculous, but we have fun doing it, haha. The Buzz cameras are always at the very end when you're shooting but it's going slow. We've turned to making pretty terrible faces on it.

OK...all chicken nuggets will now be known to me as chicky chicky nug nugs!!

I swear, I would so pee in my pants if were to ever vacation with you guys. I love that Matt modeled the Mickey apron back to the room!!

I am dying laughing over those photos on Buzz ... My friends and I have done some pretty silly ones, but these top them. HILARIOUS. I will tell you, though, at Halloween my Mom and I saw a picture of a kid dressed as Jabba the Hutt riding Buzz. I was CRACKING up for hours after that. Quite possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Hahaha Matt's face is just so priceless! But I have to say, I DIED laughing at the thought of some kid riding as Jabba the Hutt! OMG, that would've made my day. I bet seeing photos of people on rides during Halloween is pretty hilarious.

Anyways, this TR is SO awesome ... I basically sit on the edge of my chair waiting for the next update. You have such a great way of writing - can't wait to read even more!

Well first, thank you for dropping in to say hello!! We definitely had a fun day, and we always adore taking ridiculous photos, but I think Matt's wins all of them.

Parks and Rec reference! WOOT!! (And a side note, does anybody actually SAY "WOOT!?" I mean, say it out loud? Because I've seen it typed so many times, but never heard it being said out loud. I might start that.)

Haha heck yes! I had a feeling you would get it just because you and I are totally on that level, right?! And yeah, I am total a WOOTer when it comes to typing it, but I can't say I've actually WOOTed out loud, hahaha. Usually mine is a YEAH YIPPY WOOHOOOOOO!

Matt's face? CA-LASS-IC! He's fierce. He should have attempted that face WITH that apron, but that might have been too much to handle. If I had that apron, I might be tempted to cook. Maybe.

Hahaha it was so hilarious. I wish he'd made that face with the apron on, but I guess it just cannot be recreated! I love that apron though; I've baked a lot using it and it's been good to me!

Haha thanks. It makes rides ten times funnier and amusing than normal. You'll usually find us laughing like dorks at our photos. Matt's really is the best I think I've seen from him.

I love the apron and all I could think of is how perfect it would be with your Mickey gloves! I am a huge fan of all the Mickey kitchen stuff; so cute!

Thank you! We really do have the BEST time when we're at our second home. Disney is a place to be free and really get away from the real world for awhile.

So, in terms of SM, I would actually suggest if your DH is taller to sit in the 2nd or 3rd seat. The front is good for more room for your backpack if you have one, but not really as much I'd say legroom as the seats behind it, since those seats you can fit your legs around the seat in front of you.

Matt is 6'5 and never had a problem on SM, so unless your husband is 7'0 tall, he'll be totally fine!

When we met Mickey and Minnie...

It's tradition we take a photo with our backs facing the camera as we like having one where you can see our names on the back of our hats.

This was from when we came back on the super busy day later that evening and things were WAY less insane..

The next four are all from our Disney Gauntlet day. We made sure to do a PP photo in every park that day with our hats on.

The last few I don't really remember what days they were from buuuut yeah, they're fun.

Chapter Forty: Beaches and Cream and a little ice cream!
Day 10: January 27th, 2012​

So! We hung around our room for a little while and relaxed, then decided we were hungry enough to head downstairs for dinner.

If you were thinkin' in your mind that we were heading to Beaches and Cream, well then, you're just amahzing because yes, that's where we were headed!

Matt had told me about it during our honeymoon and got me really excited about it. We never made it to Beach Club during that trip, so once we knew we were staying there we made it a point to schedule Beaches and Cream for dinner one night!

We got down there at around 5:15 and were seated immediately, which was great. I'd heard about it being really busy and having to wait for a seat, but that was not an issue this evening!

I decided to order a Cherry Coke, and I don't remember what Matt got but I'm sure it was iced tea (he doesn't drink soda whatsoever, and I normally don't but on occasion I will.. For him it's kind of trigger for bad foods/drinks, if that makes sense)...

ANYWAY! I was very happy with my soda! It was delicious, though I think it was grenadine vs. cherry, but I didn't care because it tasted delightful.

We both ended up ordering cheeseburgers with a side of onion rings...

OOOOH MY GOSH, so good! I'd heard their food was tasty and it did NOT disappoint!! Of course, we made sure to leave room for some ice cream. No, there was no way we were going to do something like a Kitchen Sink, but we did decide to split a No Way Jose! I'd been planning on getting that one FOREVER, and thankfully Matt enjoys peanut butter so, it was perfect for us to share!!

We ate a good amount of it, though I think towards the end I let Matt take it on because I was so full...

Guys, if you can, go to Beaches and Cream. It's a GREAT place to sit down and have good eats and ice cream. This meal we paid for OOP, and it was remarkably reasonably priced! I highly suggest Beaches and Cream to everyone!!

After dinner, we ran back to the room because I realized I didn't have my ID/license on me (you'll see why this mattered shortly). On our walk back, I caught a beautiful photo of the sunset!

Going through my photos, I apparently also finally took a shot of the key chain Matt had gotten earlier at the Haunted Mansion. It's REALLY neat and he put it on his car keys..

Of course, we couldn't leave the room without a picture of the two of us!

After grabbing my license, we walked over to World Showcase, and I have it noted that my feet were absolutely killing me at this point. My guess is my blisters were acting up. Side note, and I'm sorry if this is gross, but I am STILL dealing with the blisters on my heels to this day! That's how horrible these were.

Anyway! We walked over to MouseGears and did some shopping for Matt's co-workers and a few others. We bought them each their own individual character pen, and I ended up buying a Mickey shaped one for myself (photo at the end of the TR)... I also bought myself a coloring book. Okay, I have no shame, I LOVE TO COLOR! There's something really relaxing about it. So yes, I bought it and yes, I've colored in it. No shame.

After buying our stuff, we decided to go see if Innoventions was open but it was closing, so instead I played on the light up walkway and took fun photos..

After playing in the walkway for a few, we decided to go on Spaceship Earth since we just love it that much. At that point, I got a text from M saying that they'd just arrived in World Showcase, so I let them know that we were on SE and we'd come find them after. Of course, we couldn't get away from SE without making some ridiculous faces..

Totally normal, right?!

Next update, we tour the world with our friends and get adult beverages, have some conversations in England, and I feel like a DISboards celebrity?!

About 4 years ago, I fell down my stairs and twisted my ankle. Ever since, I always get blisters on the bottom of my feet when I walk! I guess it didn't heal right and now I walk funny. I have to bring several pairs of shoes with me now so I wear different shoes each day...that way at least the blisters don't get worse

Those burgers look excellent and huge onion rings are always okay in my book. I am so glad you ordered the No Way Jose because that's what I would get if I went again.

I love to color too! Embarrassing fact: Sometimes I photocopy the pictures in Riley's coloring books so we can print 2 to color and leave the original so we will have it to copy in the future. I'm a wee bit crazy. This normally only happens with her Disney coloring books.
