I just put a offer in for a resale and we have a deal. I really want
to use the points for the food and wine but the sale process will be at least a month...so could I ask the seller to make a reservation for me????!!!!

I mean why not? It could always be cancelled couldnt it?

It will be cancelled, by Member Services when the contract changes hands. If not, sellers could have secret reservations using up all the banked, current and next UY's points you just bought.

You will have years and years of Disney vacations. You will see everything and stay everywhere. You will even get tired of spending all day in the parks. Plan on 60 days from your offer until you are in the system, how about a Christmas Vacation?

Bill is right, it will be a solid 60 days from the time your contract is sent to ROFR (maybe even a bit longer if there are any snags or delays). That would put you being able to book a reservation around June, which is only 3-4 months before F&W. There may be OKW or SSR availability then. But it is a very popular DVC vacation time. So if you have your heart set on going to F&W this year, you might want to make a cash reservation through Disney and plan to use your points for the next trip.
