My DH picked up a 6 pack of Guinness at the Liquor Store last Saturday, St. Patricks Day. Cashier said the total was $9.80. She swiped my DH's card and asked if he wanted a receipt. He said no. (We don't usually get receipts for small purchases.)
So yesterday I checked our bank account, and the Liquor Store only charged us .98 cents for a six pack of beer! It seems she typed the decimal point into the wrong spot, or left out a zero.
I'm just glad it didn't go the other way, where we would have paid $98 or $980 for beer!
In the future we will be asking for receipts now. Never know when something like this will happen!
Had my husband known about it when he was there, he would have said something. We just don't feel like going out of our way to go back and have them correct their error. Live and learn!
