An Anniversary Trip Full of Favorites-May 2012 PTR!*TR Link 5/14 & Question 5/15 p32*

Hi everyone! This is just a little mini update, nothing important! I will be updating here tomorrow with our Day 2 plans, since I didn't get a chance to yesterday and I want to update my TR later tonight...just wanted to stop in for a second to say that our package is

PAID IN FULL!!!
 :dance3: :yay: :woohoo: :cool1:

Love having the package paid off, now I just have to sit back and wait for Mickey Mail in a couple of weeks, and then really start the countdown to the trip! I can't wait!!! :yay:

Yay!!! How exciting your trip is paid for! Congrats , I know that feels great :goodvibes

Ahh! having everything paid is such a great feeling! Now you just need to save money to shop at the Christmas Store at DTD, LOL!

:cool1: Woo Hoo! Nothing like being paid in full to lift the spirits!

Woo hoo! :woohoo:

I completely disagree with the first bold statement!! Paid in full is very important!

Haha, you're right, it is pretty awesome!

Delurking to enjoy your very important milestone. "PIF" is like the biggest non-vacation vacation enjoyment there is. (Next is being at the airport, bags loaded -- We call it "being gated".)

Really enjoying your pre-trippie! Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

It is a pretty great milestone! Now we just have to sit back and wait for the trip to get here! :thumbsup2

Congrats! That's so exciting. Mickey mail is the BEST. I always stalk my mailbox until it comes hahah!

Thanks! I can't wait for Mickey Mail, I can start stalking in about 2 weeks! :)

YAY!! Being PIF is the best feeling ever!! Congrats! That means your trip is really almost here! :woohoo:

Ugh we are so far from that it's not even funny...I am saving my butt off for this trip! We have to have it PIF by May 24th, and I'm about halfway there. Yikes!

I can't wait to read about your day 2 plans!

I know, I can't wait!

You're not that far from your trip, May will be here before you know it!

Congratulations on being paid in full! :cool1:

Thanks, I'm so excited! :woohoo:

ooooohhhhhh!!! That totally deserves a PID party! - party:

AND even a woot woot to boot! :woohoo:

Yay, thanks for the party! :cheer2: Love being PIF!

Yay!!! Congrats on being paid in full!! :yay::yay:

Thanks, I'm so happy our trip is getting closer! :cool1:

Yipppeeee! Paid in full is one of my favorite phrases!!

Yay, mine too! :dance3:

Yay!!! How exciting your trip is paid for! Congrats , I know that feels great :goodvibes

It does feel great, I can't wait for our trip to be here! :yay:

Yay for being paid in full! :woohoo:

I told you your trip would be here before you knew it!

Yay! Well, I still have the whole month of April to get through, but at least March is almost over, I can't stand March, it always drags!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for being paid in full. :dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

Woo hoo!!! :woohoo:

Yay! Such a great feeling, isn't it?!:woohoo::woohoo::banana::banana:

It is, I'm so happy!!! :cool1:

Ahh! having everything paid is such a great feeling! Now you just need to save money to shop at the Christmas Store at DTD, LOL!

Haha, yep, the Christmas store and Vinylmations! :yay:

Hi everyone! I'm getting really, really excited for this trip, now that it's paid off! I still haven't decided about Magical Express. It seemed like rental car prices were going down, and I meant to book one a few days ago, just to have, then I checked today, and they were back up to $240! Ughhh...I can't stand stalking rental car prices, it's crazy they change every single day!

Time for our Day 2 plans!

I'm sure I will be hearing a lot of protesting this morning, because we're waking up early. And either driving or walking over to DHS, so we can get to the turnstiles by 8:30. No later. Why?

ToyStoryMania.jpg

Toy Story Mania, of course! Whether or not the mad dash happens (I've heard they've been letting people in early to avoid the mad dash madness!) doesn't matter...I'm going on Toy Story Mania! I'm actually hoping to walk right in at 8:30, stroll over to TSM, grab a FP, and then hop in the standby line and ride that way, but we'll see how it all works out! :rotfl:

Since we have to get to DHS at the crack of dawn, we'll be skipping breakfast and eating at the park. We discovered Writer's Stop in October, so maybe we will go there, but I would rather wait a few hours and get one of these at Starring Roles:

The Butterfinger Cupcake

(sorry this pic is sideways, Photobucket needs a few hours to resize and rotate pictures, it seems!)

OR The Red Velvet Cupcake

I'm not going to lie. There is a very good possibility I might get one of each. :rolleyes1

Sometime that morning, I'm hoping to go to the Animation Academy

and of course, no visit to DHS would be complete without hitting 2 of my favorites:

rock-n-roller-coaster-fast.jpg

and

tz-tower-of-terror-400-4.jpg

I'm thinking we will be finished at DHS around 12 or 1, so we'll head back to the Beach Club for some pool time!

stormalong-bay.jpg

We have HOURS to spend here...usually, we have to just cram in pool time in like, an hour or 2, but today we have tons of time, so hopefully we'll just grab a chair and relax, get a poolside beverage, swim...who knows though, I get bored sitting by a pool very quickly! It sounds nice though, doesn't it?

When we get bored, or tired, or too hot, we'll go back to the room to rest, shower, whatever, and get ready for our dinner at California Grill!

Now, I know this is stupid, and it's going to add so much time to our travel time, but I'm really looking forward to walking through Epcot and taking the monorail over to the Contemporary. Arriving at dinner by monorail is awesome! :yay:

After what I'm sure will be an amazing dinner, we'll go over to the Magic Kingdom! Hopefully we will make it in time for Wishes (I want to say it's at 10 that night, so we should have more than enough time!)

After Wishes, it's time for extra magic hours! :dance3: As of now, MK is only open til 1, however, I'm hoping it gets extended until at least 2! We'll probably do most of our favorites that night-Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Space Mountain, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh!

Spend lots of time in Tomorrowland, looking at the beautiful palm trees!

Maybe I'll finally get to try a Dole Whip float!

Whatever we end up doing in MK that night, it will be awesome, because MK magic hours are always fun, and the later it gets, the smaller the crowds get!

I can't wait for it to be May!!! 45 days!!!

Great plans for the day! You should definitely get both cupcakes! They are both so good, although I am partial to the red velvet cheesecake. Red velvet cake and cheesecake are two of my favorite things. Can't believe it is only 45 days away!

I think your Day 2 plans sound great!

I can't remember, have you had one of the Starring Rolls cupcakes before? I've had the Red Velvet... sooo yummy. I am definitely getting one on my next trip. I can't decided between the Butterfinger or Chocolate Peanut Butter. Shane doesn't have a sweet tooth like I do, so whichever one I get I'll probably have to eat the majority by myself!

Ok, I think you just described the perfect day. I was able to do the whole TSM FP mad dash then immediately ride standby twice last summer, so hopefully you'll get your chance too. Don't get discouraged if the line seems really long for standby, at first it flows by really quickly and it's mostly just walking. It's especially true if you manage to be amongst the firsts to egt a FP. Plus, if you are lucky they'll let you go through the special line for groups of 2, which will make you by pass most of the wait.

All the other things you mentioned doing at DHS are my favorites : Red Velvet cupcake for breakfast (I'm drooling right now!), drawing class, TOT and RNR. Awesomeness!

Then going back to the Beach Club and spending time enjoying Stormalong Bay pool is a dream of mine. Gosh, I hope I get to dip my feet in this amazing pool at least once in my life!!

The rest of the day seems great as well. :)

Love the plans, Jen. It sounds like a perfect day.

I used to think EMH's got less crowded as the hours have gone on, but the last two times we went, it was crowded the whole night. Is May a better time?

Okay so you pretty much just described the perfect day at Disney! Great plans! :thumbsup2

Have you walked to DHS from Beach Club before? John and I were talking about potentially walking in July, but we weren't sure how long of a walk it is.

I definitely think you need to get BOTH cupcakes! I think the red velvet is better, but the Butterfinger is really good too!

YAY Animation Academy! My favorite! :lovestruc

Ohhh I want to ride RnRC and ToT so bad right now :sad1:

Awesome! That sounds like an amazing day!

Thumbs up on the DHS day! TSM is awesome--I hope we get to ride stand-by, and then grab a FP for later during our trip! Love Animation Academy! My DD would LOVE the red velvet cupcake. Southern girls love their red velvet!

I hope you enjoy your dinner at Cali Grill! Even though it's been four years, I still remember it as one of our best meals ever at Disney.

MK is extra magical during evening magic hours!

That day sounds like so much fun! I love those cupcakes from Starring Rolls. I think I prefer the Butterfinger cupcake to the red velvet, but getting both sounds like a great plan.

California Grill followed by MK EMH sounds extraordinarily magical!

Awesome Day 2 plan! Not sure if you know this or not, but that outdoor Market thingy (the name of which always escapes me!) that is next to Starring Rolls, actually does breakfast sandwiches in the mornings, if you're tempted! Not 100% sure of the exact offerings, but I've seen them pop up on TR's a few times lately!

We never schedule pool time either and we got really tired of being at these great resorts and never using the pool so we started MAKING time for it! We actually used the pool at CSR twice in 2010! :woohoo::laughing:

When you get over to TSM, you should have Brandon get in line while you get FPs for later and then you can join him in the stand-by! I am so paranoid about this for my July trip...I'm thinking that we will make a run for it, have everyone get in line except one person who will FPs for later, and then we can all ride twice....I'm just hoping that the mob is up to the challenge so early in the morning!

Sounds like a great trip! We are checking in on May 6th - 9th, and are really excited to be there through the flower and garden festival! Can't wait!!!

Not sure what will be happening with the DHS early openings then, but my guess is they will keep them around. Things really seemed calmer and smoother when we saw it!

I think an afternoon at Stormalong Bay sounds like the perfect plan! :thumbsup2

I don't think it's weird to go through Epcot for the monorail! I've gone through Epcot just to get to the bus stops many times (maybe THAT was a bit of a silly idea...).

I love everything about your plans except the ToT! haha I just can't handle that ride.
Relaxing by the pool in the middle of the day and then a nice meal at California Grill sounds like the perfect way to recharge for EMH @ MK! :thumbsup2
