If so, were you happy with the service? If not, what was it that you didn't like?

Thanks!

We used them a few years ago in Orlando. No problems, high pressure sales, or any other tricks. We had a great experience and terrific deal at the time.

Can't speak for their service in Florida, but at Boston Logan their rental lot doubles as an airport parking facility, with valet parking and shuttle service included. We've parked there many times, and I've always been impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. The office serves both parking and car rental customers, and I've never seen anyone in line who looked unhappy with Thrifty.

We have used them the past 3 years at MCO and will be using them again in April.. I have found the best prices with them and excellent quality cars for rentals. If you decide to go with them then I suggest that you sign up for their Blue Chips program (Free) and you will not have to wait in a long line. (You will have a side line that they call first).:thumbsup2

I haven't used them in several years and what I don't like is that they charge $10/day for additional driver. Unless you can find a corporate code that includes this you are out of luck.

They were alright. The agent, Iris, was nice enough, however, she was pushy with the toll transponder, which my mom ultimately gave into. Unless you plan to spend $34 of Sunpass tolls, it is a waste of money as we only spent around $4 in tolls roundtrip. Otherwise, they were fine and we wound up with a 2012 Kia Soul as our Compact, with not that many miles and it was in excellent condition and a good car. Go with Thrifty, however, don't take the toll transponder.

Thanks for all the info. I booked with them and the process seemed quite smooth. I am going to keep looking for better deals, but what I got was pretty amazing, so I'm happy.

Once again, thanks! :cheer2:

I think it all depends on the location you rent from. DW and I are going to DL this year. Renting a car from LAX and I know there are no additional charges for additional drivers there. At least that what it states on the Terms and Conditions. Best advice would be to call Thrifty and see if they will charge you for an additional driver. I know they will for sure if the driver is under the age of 25.

As far as answering the OP's question, I've never had a problem with them. Like someone else mentioned, if you join the Blue Chip program, you can bypass the line and go straight to pick up. Its free to join. I'm a Blue Chip member and I enjoy this little perk. No having to hassle with the agents at the counter trying to push extras on you. Just make sure to have your card with you. I've never had any problems with the cars. I've even gotten free upgrades because they didn't have the class of car I booked. Make sure and enter you flight information. This is how I've gotten the upgrades. I've had delayed flights in the past; but because I entered my flight information, they could see my flight was delayed and accommodated me nicely. :thumbsup2

I agree with this. You can even get around Toll Roads if your GPS allows for it. Sometimes its just faster to pay the tolls though. If all your time will be spent getting around Disney, then no need for the toll transponder. Even when we went to KSC, we didn't pay that much in tolls.

Smart idea to keep checking back frequently and often. If the rates go down for the class of car you booked; you can modify your current confirmation to get the lower rate, without having to cancel and re-book. I've done this many times. As I mentioned in my prior post; DW and I are going to DL in August for a week. My rate started out at $225 for the week. So far I've gotten it down to $190 by checking back.

We use them 100% of the time. When we go on the road with our coach and were ever we stay we get a thrifty car. They transport us to and from the campground and their service IMO is 100%. Always find their rates great also.
