70 to Freezing in 7 hours. A Nov/Dec 2011 trip report. Updated 4/28

I still have yet to try a cupcake thre. Hopefully this fall I can put it on my list of things.

I think Breaking Dawn has been my least favorite of the movies. But, I will admit that I am not the biggest Twilight fan. I did read the books and I liked them. I just never loved them the way most people do. I save that kind of love for Harry Potter. Or the Hunger Games. Have you read that series yet?
Haven't read the Hunger games. May have to look into that!
With Twilight and Harry Potter when they first blew up i was determined not to get into either of them. I try to avoid these hugely super popular things because I see it as an excuse for the shops to hike up the prices! With Harry Potter I lasted until the fourth book. Mam brought it home one day and I went fine I'll read the silly book to see what all the fuss is about. Think I was sick that week though and I read the fourth book in two days and went out to shop to get the first three and read them all by the end of that week. Ever after I was hooked. My nieces are to blame for the twilight obsession it was another one I was not going to cave to and then they got the DVD when they were to young for it and gave it to me I watched it and then wanted to read the books and was hooked ever since lol!

She should most definitely give the passes to you! Is it very expensive for airfare for y'all to Paris? I want to go there so badly. It's been on my bucket list since I was in 3rd grade. :sad2: I've been to a few European countries, but not France. One day......
Between airfare and accomodation for us to Paris it's pretty much the same price to go to Paris for 5 days as it is to go to Orando for 14! I chose Orlando.. they've more parks and are more likely to have warm weather! :) I was in Paris in 2002 and 2003. Paris itself is lovely and of course there's Disney which is always a plus but parks and disney village so much smaller than Orlando.

Best of luck to you! I'm sure you'll do well.

Can't wait for the next update!
Thanks. My exam went fine yesterday I thought. It's acutally funny because everyone was so relaxed about it all considering we all had exams. :goodvibes
Next update will be here very soon :)

You should make it priority when you get to Hollywood studios to at least get one as take out you won't regret it :)

Yeah, I resisted Potter & Twilight for a while. I didn't start reading Harry until the 4th book was almost out. Fell in love immediately. The only reason why I read the Twilight series is because 2 of my co-workers, who I was also good friends with, were reading them. At the time, my son was still an infant & I was having to do feedings still in the night. The problem was that he had reflux when we was born so we had to hold him upright for 30-45 minutes after each feeding. The Twilight books helped me pass my time while I was feeding & holding him in the middle of the night.

I love the Hunger Games series. Of course, it's about to explode as well since the 1st movie premieres here next Saturday. But, the series was good. It does have violence, so if you don't like that, avoid it. Otherwise, it's worth looking into.

That is crazy! I mean, I figured it wouldn't be cheap for y'all to get over to Paris. But, that's insane that you can go to Orlando for longer for about the same price. Can't say I blame you....I'd choose Orlando, too! :thumbsup2

Day 6, part 2:

When I left you we were headed off in search of something new to do. I always try find things we haven’t done to convince Momma there is a reason to visit the same place more than once.
Our first stop was One Man's Dream:

Technically we have seen the displays at One Man’s Dream before but we’ve never seen the movie and I wasn’t going to go to it but Momma wanted to so we went along and it was so cool to learn Walt’s History. I felt sorry for him with all the struggles he had but felt so much gratitude that he created my super happy place :lovestruc
We moved on then heading towards:
DSCF2488.jpg

We didn’t try Toy Story Mania which had like 2 hour wait time so we just passed through and I took pics of course. These dudes were randomly walking around the place:

DSCF2492.jpg

I was trying to convince Momma to stand beside the giant coke bottle but she didn’t quite trust me anymore after the Figment incident :rotfl:
DSCF2494.jpg

We eventually got to where we were actually headed:
DSCF2495.jpg

We may have done this when I was ten but I don’t remember it and neither did Momma so we went along and I took lots of pics:
DSCF2496.jpg

DSCF2498.jpg

I took these pics for DN10 because she loves Hannah Montana and when I showed her she was in awe and didn’t believe it was the actually house from the movie but how and ever:

We got in our train and were very good and obeyed the no dancing in the seats:
DSCF2506.jpg

I was so happy to get my own pics of the water cooler and hedge and plane. I’d seen so many pics of them but could never quite figure out where they were:

Next up: Continuing with our firsts!

I've seen adds for that. It'll be a wile before I get into them I'd say. I've so many backed up books that I got last year and haven't had time to read.

Yeah it is I think last year when I was pricing 5 days in Paris was something like 839 where 14 in florida was only 60 more or something like that. Only thing with Paris is tickets are included in hotel price if you stay on Disney property but I still choose Florida over Paris :) Paris have a thing going at the mo that you get 40% off your stay if you book before 30th April but I priced that and for accomodation/tickets for one person for three nights it's 429 euro! :scared1: that's before flights leaving Paris a no go at the mo! I'd rather save for Florida lol! We had to book off our holidays in work last weekend so I already have dates for later in the year now just to decide where to go.

What is the penalty exactly for dancing on the bus??:lmao:

I enjoyed the backlot tour, mostly because it was the first time we'd done it. But it is interesting to see the plane, the costumes and stuff.

I have a picture of Kadence and Sam standing in front of the Hannah M house and Kadence was thrilled!

I really want to do a picture of us dancing on the bus sometime. :rotfl2:
I think someone should dance on the bus.

I dunno maybe someone should try it and see :confused3

I thought backlot tour was cool. I loved the Hannah Montana house minute I saw it I knew i had to take a pic of it for DN10. She was delighted!

I love One Man's Dream. I always get choked up in the video. It's truly a rags to riches story.

I was just on the Backlot tour in December. I really enjoyed it because it had been years since I was on it.

It's been a while since we've done the Backlot Tour. Maybe we'll try to schedule it in this fall.

I love that "no dancing" sign. Every morning, before heading to the parks, I make Reid go over my "park rules". One of them is "On rides we sit down & don't act crazy." Well, the 1st time he ever saw that sign, he let out a gasp & said, "That's the don't act crazy sign!"

I think I found myself giving out after about the injustice of people stealing his rabbit idea but I prefere the mouse anyway :)

It was cool to see all the props I thought

It was good but we were glad we weren't one of the victims/volunteers that got drenched in water at the start :rotfl:

Don't act crazy I like it! But you have to act a little crazy at Disney :)

As long as he doesn't act crazy on the rides or do something bad crazy like running away - then I'm good with a little crazy! :lmao:

Running away would be bad! :sad2: Crazy is good though! :goodvibes

Wanted to wish all my readers and lurkers Happy St. Patrick's day :)

Day 6, Part 3:

When I left you we were on a train touring Hollywood studios backlot. I had just found the water cooler and Walt’s plane when we rounded the corner and disaster struck:

DSCF2510.jpg

DSCF2511.jpg

DSCF2512.jpg

The lady beside us nearly ended up on our knee when the water came down trying to get away from it :lmao:
Disaster solved with tonnes of water we got back to the safety of a nice little display of movie costumes including this one:
DSCF2515.jpg

before we headed off in the direction of one of our favourite things to see in Hollywood Studios. We got a little diverted on the way though because I spotted two Monsters and wanted to get a pic. I was handing Momma the bag like I normally do for these meet and greets but she decided she wanted to get her pic with them as well  I’m pretty sure it was the only day she got in character pics but then her colours did kind of match one of the monsters because she had her purple and blue tye-dye on... have you guessed yet? This pic is from photopass but it was Mike and Sully:

We got in line and then Mike and Sully needed to go have lunch or whatever so we waited and I took pics of their wait area while I was there:

Eventually Mike and Sully came back:
DSCF2516.jpg

We got our pics, everyone was happy and we headed off to our next destination. Along the way we spotted the crib so I took a quick pic:
DSCF2527.jpg

We then obeyed the Fozzy Bear and walk a walka’d that way:
DSCF2528.jpg

Straight to:
DSCF2530.jpg

We missed this in 2010 and I was sad because it’s one of my favourite shows in Hollywood studios. There was a few minutes wait for the next show but not to fear I have a camera and lots of things in sight to take pictures of:

Next up: More new friends and old favourites

Wishing my Irish Friend a very HAPPY ST. Patrick's Day!

I love it thanks. Eeyore is one of my top five :)

What did everyone do for St. Patricks Day?

I was working in the morning and then got off to record the musical society in the parade I got a bit of them on tape where they were meeting up but then apparently my video camera decided it wasn't actually going to work because after the pipe band marched it stopped recording. No idea why and didn't realise until I got home and parade was over and it was to late basically. Oh well. I took some still shots anyway and some of the members got other nice stills I can use instead of footage I guess.

I think I found myself giving out after about the injustice of people stealing his rabbit idea but I prefer the mouse anyway :)

I know - thank goodness Steamboat Willie came along.

Another fun update. I can't believe someone fell trying to get away from the water of Catastrophe Canyon. It does look likes it coming right towards you.

I love that Queen of Hearts costume!

I know. I don't think Oswald's House has quite the same ring to it as Mickey's House :)

Thanks. Yeah she was funny. When the water was coming towards us she screamed and leap away from it. Nobody got wet but I think everyone was expecting to because when we got on the train the seats were wet.

I love that Queen of Hearts costume!
It's cool. I love that movie version of Alice In Wonderland.

I haven't been to DHS for a full day in years...We need to dedicate more time to it.
