Ohana means we wont give you an ADR for a party of 1. Update Post #25 RESOLVED

Going out almost 180 days into August, every restaurant that is open for dinner and takes ADRs has dinner availability for Party of one except 'Ohana, Olivia's, and Trail's End.

So it seems that these 3 locations simply do not take ADRs for party of one.

Which, with the previous observation that Olivia's doesn't have any 2-tops, seems to indicate that the system won't allow parties of one at a 4-top.

If you do it enough, you'll find that 2 can't get a table, but 4 can; 1 can't, 2 can.

I used to just lie, now I have to pay $10 for each made-up person.

The highly principled will be happy to know that those of us who lie will now be paying for our lies.

If you really want to eat there, I'd call and talk to someone...ask for a manager if you have to...

I made a reservation for party of 2 online last night. Tonight I called and modified the ADR to a party of one. "Liz Joy" was very helpful over the phone and cheerily changed my ADR to indicate I would be dining solo.

Just checked my ADRs on line and the change is entered correctly. I was able to print it out in case I have any trouble at the podium.

Glad to hear you got it worked out.

I was in WDW last year, and had a solo day...I wanted to eat at Coral Reef and I had no issue making an ADR for 1....maybe it was just a glitch in the system.

Just booked Ohana and Trails end which I had to do via DVC member services as the website wont take my booking number (known issue)... got all the ADR's I wanted as a solo diner EXCEPT Ohana and Trails end which had to be booked as a party of 2 to get avalability!

Call back and ask to modify. They should be able to do it. I got back last week and I have to tell you, they didn't hold back on the food. I was almost embarassed at the amount of food in front of me sitting there by myself.

Also I was seated right next to the kitchen door. It was a weird place for a table. Not actually out on the main floor, but on the outer edge.

Of course in addition to this the skewers of meats and shrimp kept coming around. That night the steak was exceptional. I'm used to it being over cooked there, but this time it was nice and medium rare.

Given that this is the season of Lent, a rigorous penance is in order. Remind yourself that Disney cannot fail, it can only be failed. Then punch yourself in your personal face eight to ten times, and pledge to buy at least sixty eight U.S. American dollars worth of park merchandise.
