I haven't been on the transportation boards before but I think this is where the experts will be on this one. I received an email from Discover letting me know that they have added some bonuses to my card. One of them is Airport Lounge Access - does anyone know specifically what this means? I was wondering if this might be something I could take advantage of at MCO? I had the opportunity to access a British Airways lounge once and it was really impressive!

With what airline are they giving access? That would tell you what is available because I don't believe all airlines have lounges at all airports.

I doubt if they have signed agreements with every carrier for lounge access, but one or particular ones.

It didn't specify - I am probably going to have to call for specifics as I can find nothing. One thing I found said that it was Diners Club but nothing is in the info I received.:confused3

I would give Discover a call.

If the lounges you have access to are the Diner's Club lounges (and this is the info I found as well), there aren't a lot of lounges available in the US. At MCO, you have access to the Royal Palm Lounge. Guests with you must pay $25 each, according to the Diner's club website.

I called and found out more info so I'm all set. It is a "free membership" that entitles you access to specific lounges at specific airports. To gain access to the lounge, you have to pay $27 pp and present your ClubLounge card. Not as good as I had hoped but I suppose if we were stuck at an airport for more than a few hours, it might be worth it depending on the lounge - there isn't one at MCO but they have one at Sanford and other airports across the country.
