Hello Hello and welcome to my first trip report!!!
And our first FAMILY vacation!! We had an amazing time with memories to spare:)

So lets start with the cast...

First off is ME. Name is Alden. I'm 24.. stay at home mom... Lead Key Spouse for my husbands squadron (call deployed spouses to make sure they are okay... create spouse events... spread information... etc) This was my first time back to Disney since I was 5 1/2. Better late than never!

disclaimer about photo.. normally i smile promise... but this is right after carl set my dSLR on top of the stroller to which Rylei pulled down the canopy and sent it flying about 3 feet!

Next is DH, Carl. He is in the Air Force, he just hit 6 years and is a Staff Sergent. He's a jet engine mechanic and a gym nut... Seriously... It can be a problem at times hah
132.jpg

Thirdly is DD Rylei who is 3 1/2 and a bottle of energy. Child is a diva too. She is in ballet and currently her favorite princess is Cinderella. She can go from girly girl to tom boy in no time.

Lastly is DD Olivia who just turned 1 in December. Olivia has a great set of lungs... the child can SCREAM lol But most of the time shes a total princess and has a smile that will melt your heart. She has Urticaria Pigmentosa which is a form of Mastocytosis.. Its a mast cell disease. You may notice the hive like spots on her skin in pictures and thats it. SHes pretty lucky as it seems she only reacts to friction... Some masto kids react to foods, smells, chemicals, heat, cold, pretty much anything... Theres no known cause or cure yet but we are looking :-)

The day had finally come!! We got up around 8am to finish the last minute packing and cleaning that needed to be done. We got all the bags finalized and ready to load into my good friend DeAnn's van.

And of course I had to get a picture of the girls in their travel clothes with the bags.

It took a little longer than expected due to a few wrong turns but we made it to the air port and had no trouble with TSA thankfully... We headed down to Terminal A and waited.

The flight went as well as can be expected with a 1 year old. But the landing was .. eh kinda rough. As my jet engine hubby informed me the "TR over revved and " blah blah blah. He was not happy about it though lol He isn't a fan of flying because he goes over everything that could go wrong. But we made it to MCO in one piece :-) And where on the mini monorail in a jiffy!

Tony was there to pick us up. He was so very friendly and helpful. He had the girls carseats hooked up nicely which I'm always nervous about. He stopped by Publix for me and in less than 30 mins and about $50 bucks we where soon seeing this ...

We all got pretty excited... I'm pretty sure Carl giggled. Carl has never been on a family vacation. His family never could do them... And he and I did a mini vacation before Rylei was born but we where pretty broke and didn't do much.

We got to Shades of Green and signed in. Process wasn't too bad. When I saw our room location I was kind of bummed though... we where in the VERY back... Room 366. But I wasn't going to complain. Once we trekked to the back we where super happy with the room. Very spacious!

Nice queen beds. I had requested bed rails and they wheren't there so we decided just to wait it out and see if we needed them.

Here's the view from our balcony

.

Ry LOVED that we where by the pool. All she wanted to know is if we could go swimming lol
We walked over to the Poly since we had just missed the bus to DTD. We just made their bus heh. We started our debate over where to eat... Wolfgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich. We picked Wolfgang because Carl wasn't digging the thought of sandwiches. So he ordered Chicken Strips
017.jpg
,
I ordered a Cesar Salad
019.jpg
,
and we got the Macaroni and Cheese for the girls
018.jpg
.
We split it all between us and everyone enjoyed
020.jpg
. Did you know WPE does a 10% military discount? Also the server gave us a 15% card. Score :-)
After we ate it was SHOPPING TIME! WOO HOO!! We headed to the BEST STORE EVER.
027.jpg

Oh yes... My HEAVEN. Ry was in awe. First things first. Ears. At first she grabbed the one with Cinderella's slipper on it. I was like "ew.... how about one of THESE" lol She found the Princess one with the veil and wanted that one. I was fine with that. I also picked out a headband set of ears. Then we had to find her a wand for her Cinderella dress. We found the princess room *squee* and got her wand. Then we grabbed an autograph book. I grabbed a lanyard for myself and a thing to put our tickets, key, and fastpasses in. We where in the baby(?) section and I saw the Princess infant ears which Ry agreed was perfect for Livi.

DTD was pretty packed and the girls where cranky. We decided to head back to Shades of Green, but couldn't find the bus stop? So there was the Poly bus waiting... So thats what we rode. Liv fell asleep on the way back.

Ry got her wish of swimming. Since Liv was asleep only Carl and Ry went but Liv of course woke up so we walked down.
050.jpg
She had SO much fun

The girls both passed out easily.

Turns out we DID need to bed rails... Liv fell out of bed but wasn't hurt. She finished the night in our bed. It took me forever to fall asleep but eventually I did... Excited for the next day.

I'm here! Loving your intros! Sorry that the little one fell out of bed. :guilty: I hope you were able to get the rails you requested! :goodvibes

Looking forward to more! popcorn::

Your family is so cute. Love your pictures, the one of Carl playing in the pool with Rylie. They were having SO much fun.

Looking forward to your next day!

She LOVES the pool. Poor thing asked to swim every day haha!

Cute pictures! The hotel room looks huge.

It was! When I told my husband we where staying at a military resort he was like oh GREAT its going to be crappy. His jaw nearly hit the floor when he saw it though. Very nice :-)

Your daughters are adorable and I love the ears picture! :earsboy: The Shades of Green looks amazing. It sounds like you had a great beginning to your trip. I'm looking forward to hearing more!

Just stumbled across your TR and love it so far!! We are also a military fam, army though. Shades of Green looks awesome! I'll have to remember that for later trips for sure! Your girls are so cute!! I'm really looking forward to the rest of your TR. We will also be traveling with our 2 little ones, so I'm excited to see how your trip goes. This is going to seem random but, I think I fell in love with your stroller lol. What kind is it? I'm subscribed! Can't wait for the next chapter. Love your purple Mickey ears BTW, never seen those before.

I'm in! I love reading tr's with little kids in them!

Yay for more military disney addicts!! SoG really was great. We never ate there but no complaints from us! And stroller is a CityJogger Micro Double. If I had to buy again I'd pick the Mini though... But its a great stroller! Mini just looks more comfortable. But boy did that sucker get dirty haha

Your family is adorable, I love the ears photo!

 Thanks so much

I'm here! We are headed to Disney in a couple of weeks with our little girls too! Can't wait to read about your park days!

Thanks for the info! I will look at the mini as well. We have a tandem now and its just so bulky. I'm dreading taking it along. Your looks like it folds soooooo nicely! And high five on the military Disney addicts!!

CityJoggers fold up SUPER easy! In the seats there are 2 straps. You just pull up on them and it collapses and folds FLAT. ALSO it fits through a single doorway :-D

SO It took me FOREVER to fall asleep that first night. I was EXHAUSTED but SUPER excited. In the middle of the night was a thump and a screech. Yep that was Livi falling out of the bed. While Carl had a mild panic attack I picked her up, checked for bumps and blood... nope... nothing... laid her down and she was snoring away. And I told Carl to shush and go back to sleep lol

We had already decided to just wake up when we woke up... Well Carl had planned on going to the gym but was tired when his alarm went off. I told him if he hit snooze I'd cut his finger off so it was sleep or go. He choose sleep. We where up around 8 (which if you know me that is NOT sleeping in! lol But is at Disney!) I knew there was no point in stressing on making Rope Drop because of One More Magic Day.

We did breakfast in the room. Ry had cereal... We discovered that Olivia didn't care for Fruit Loops so she are a banana and cheese stick. We got Liv dressed in her Rare Disease Day Shirt. It was a special day because this was her first year with a diagnosis. We where happy to raise awareness for Mastocytosis. We caught the Shades of Green bus to TTC. We got in a very short line to have our Salute to the Military tickets activated. We got a very sweet, but VERY slow, older man. He kept giving us tips to which I wanted to reply "yeah yeah I know just give me my darn tickets" but smiled and thanked him instead. Ry wasnt so patient. In fact she kind of pouted about it while looking at the monorail.
081.jpg

But eventually we where inline and ready to get on that monorail!.
067.jpg

Olivia HATED her first ride on the monorail. She SCREAMED... My fault though... I had taken her out of the stroller because she had gotten fussy waiting... And she wanted to stand... And when to mono took off... Yeah she wasn't amused...

As soon as we got in the park I called my cousin Kristie. She and her son Landon where meeting us today at the park. Her husband was in a school (he does something with cranes?) in Orlando and they where visiting with him.. Lucky ducks. Right as we met up with them the trolly was coming with some of the main street actors
186.jpg

After watching a bit we headed toward Fantasyland. We figured that would be easiest with the kiddos. My grandma threatened to never sent me goodies from Louisiana again if I didn't get pictures of us together... I took that threat VERY seriously...
074.jpg

As you can see Ry had NO interest on anything but that big beautiful castle.

I sent Carl to get Peter Pan fastpasses for all of us since the wait was already 30 minutes. We got bonus fastpasses for PhilharMagic. the time was for the next 5 mins so we skedattled over to the FP line and inched our way in. We choose seats in the back in case the kids acted up. Landon fell asleep during it. Liv just kind of watched it like no big deal while Ry who wore the glasses was reaching for everything and giggling the whole time. Carl couldn't get over how cool it was. He loved the smell and the water effect and he had never seen a 3D show  My poor deprived husband.... We decided to split up. Landon had an 11:00 appt at the barbershop so she headed that way even though it was early. We headed to Winnie the Pooh since it was only a 15 minute wait.
Ry totally loved the activities !

101.jpg

I kind of felt bad because I rushed the girls through it as I saw swarms of people coming in.

093.jpg

The closer we got the more excited we got ... or... I got...
109.jpg

By the way.. no one told me my tag stuck out like this... I didn't discover it until like the 3rd day of our trip when I was looking through pictures... RUDENESS!
Both the girls kept wanting to climb on the rails to Carl's annoyance... I said let them.. as long as theyre right by us and not bothering anyone or tearing anything up... Let kids be kids darn it!
106.jpg

Finally we where in the honey pots!!
113.jpg

Dig the tag right??

120.jpg

Ry was amazed by it all.
119.jpg

Next we just kept going... We found the TEACUPS!! WOO HOO! These are some of my favorite pictures of the whole trip... Because Carl is REALLY smiling... not his fake smile. We waited less than 5 minutes till we where on.
135.jpg

133.jpg

While we where at it we headed over to Buzz Lightyears Space Ranger Spin. The wait was 10 minutes. We got right on almost. Ry was kind of confused at first but when Carl explained she had to shoot the bad guys she got excited. I think she scored 600 her first time heh

But I think this will be a good breaking point for now... I should SO be sleeping.. Or planning out the baby shower I'm hosting this weekend... EEK.

Great Trip report so far.. Our first time at Shades of Green (4 years ago) they also put us in the back..:rotfl2: Since then I made sure to request rooms close to the lobby..:thumbsup2 Your little girls are so adorable. I love the look of your daughters face on the Winnie the Pooh ride..So sweet... And I totally understand about the "real" smile picture of your husband. I have one of my husband and son on BTMMR and the smiles are from ear to ear.. Pure Joy..:lovestruc

Most be a joke on new visitors lol It's so hard to catch Carl in a "real" moment lol Hes such a poser ;)
