Spring break 2013

Hoping someone can help us with 2013 spring flights from the northeast, specifically BDL to MCO. We normally do the F&W festival in October so I’m not used to the spring break schedules. Our kids are adults and we never did the spring get-away.

We are planning a 7 day cruise either April 14th or April 28th 2013, and trying to talk DH into a couple of Disney days after the cruise. Since the cruise costs are a good chunk of change, I prefer not to spend an equal amount on the flights. We always fly Jet Blue or Southwest nonstop.

I’d love to hear from the Northeast spring break veterans. Which would be the better week to fly BDL to MCO, the 14th or 28th of April 2013?

Thanks for your help

Well, here in Mass, our spring break starts on April 15..Patriots Day. So you can pretty much plan on airfares being high for that week...starting the Friday/Thursday prior to Patriots Day, all the way through the following weekend.
With Easter being so early, March 31, that shouldn't impact you too much.

Hi Goofy4tink!

Well, I guess that's it, I need to cancel and rebook for April 28th then.

Thank you, I think you just saved me quite a bit in flight costs. :thumbsup2 Maybe enough to hit Disney for a day or two.:rotfl:

We are in Connecticut and our spring break next year is also the week of April 14th - so I would say holding off until the 28th is a good idea!:thumbsup2

Hi,

Thanks, I wish I knew that when I booked the cruise. Should have done a bit more homework.:headache:

We live in CT too and our DVC home is also BCV! Perfect for F&W Festival.

It's hard when you don't have kids in school - you forget about planning around school breaks! Our son is in 3rd grade now so our days of pulling him out of school to go to Disney may be ending soon.......:sad1:
