Port Orleans Riverside Murphy Beds?

Does anyone know how many rooms have converted from the trundle beds to the murphy beds? Has anyone seen the murphy beds? I saw a photo on Allears but I can't tell how big they are. Any help would be appreciated!

We stayed in Bldg. 36 and had the new Murphy beds....daughter is about 5'4", and fit very comfortably, but son is about 5'10", and was a bit too tall for comfort. ( he still slept there a night or two because he said "it was so cool!").

All the information is on the POR thread.

I've heard that they are for 9 years and younger. Not sure how accurate that is, but its my rule of thumb. Thankfully we have a good 5 years before we outgrow them! PHEW! LOL

They can only be found in Alligator Bayou, and I'm not sure how many they are putting in.

Since AB is for families of five, all the rooms will have the murphy beds when the refurb is completed.

The nine years and under is a rule of thumb suggested by Disney on their website when booking POR. It is by no means a hard and fast rule. Posters on the POR thread ha e said their older children up to 5'-5" have used it.

I am just five feet tall and most likely would be comfortable on it.

Thanks everyone for the input. We'll be using POR if my mom goes with us. My youngest is 4'6" so I think she'll be okay on the Murphy. We stayed in the Bayou a few years ago, just us, but they both wanted to try the trundle. They didn't like it's closeness to the floor or the bed. She's much more enthused about the murphy!

You really cannot go by age, because size can vary so greatly. My 14 yr old dd is much smaller than her cousin who is under 9 and also a girl. This is so helpful to hear that she will fit. I'd read that 5 ft and under fit, but this would allow for all 3 kids to have their own beds by adding an air mattress beside the bed and utilizing the murphy which is good for a short stay.
