Team Goddess - Volume 11. Rocking 2012 Goddess Style!

Hi girls!!!!

I am checking in, using E's computer! HI!!!! It was a great day. We spent it at AK in the AM and then the Expo. I had a tiny freakout - my family left and 4pm and I got a bit crabby about making it back to them. But all is well now - beers at the unit and a ban on talking about the you know what until after 5pm.

Oh my time to go -they are talking about it!!!! :lmao:

Just checking in after an awesome day. Spent time at Magic Kingdom. Lunch at the Plaza--always a fave Then back to okw for drinks and down time. Jo arrived!! Dinner at Olivia's. Then half went back to MK and other half to hot tub. A great day and we are all here! Longer update tomorrow.

Well it's after one - and you should all be in a DEEP AND PEACEFUL sleep! :thumbsup2 I'm watching the dunk off on delay. :dance3: :woohoo: :yay:

Have fun and rock the race you Goddesses!!!!

Can't wait to hear.

GODDESSES!!! Have an AMAZING race - I will be thinking about you all!

:cool1:

Just woke up and checked the live results... Erika, Nancy and Jo all finished together it looks like. And Liz, Kat, Amiee and Amy are getting close. (Although it probably doesn't seem like it to them. Those last miles can feel like a while other race.)

GO GIRLS!!!

Lisa, thought this article might interest you. You're always saying at least I have legs. This is a story about a local teenager who was paralyzed while playing hockey, he's now being pushed by a family friend in marathons in an effort to raise money for charity. Two years ago people were helping to raise money to pay his medical costs and now he's raising money for others. I really find this kid to be amazing.

Back in the chilly northeast. BOO.

It was a great vacation! I heart you girls!

Many details to come, but here are some teasers:

Remember when....

--Jo got up and danced on stage at Jellyrolls?!?!
--Liz and Amy became personal shoppers at the Expo?
--Nancy tried to kill E?
--Amiee could not stop giggling?
--Nancy and E helped Jo get her PR!!!!!
--Amy was the Proxy Drinker?
--Kat talked to the awesomely cute dancing couple?
--Amiee thought there was a car driving around World Showcase?
--They played Bruce for Liz at Jellyrolls and she came FLYING out of the bathroom?
--When Kat and E changed the course of a random couple's vacation by telling them about drinking around the world at Epcot?
--Nancy was limping? EVERY DAY!
--We all decided that the best way to make a decision was to ask What Would Amy Do? And then do exactly that.
--We Facebooked Lisa so much at Jellyrolls that it felt like she was out drinking with us?
--E got Rockin Roller Coaster SHUT DOWN?!?!
--Liz lost her Woo and then found it again?
--Nancy was not broken, just bent?
--Amiee lost a toe nail?

Just teasers....

MEG!!! This is where my friend Courtney lives and she knows his family well!!! YES so inspiring. I remember when his accident first happened. And now - he's not only living but LIVING.

So! I am home. And can't sleep, because I have been trained by the vampire to expect carousing until the wee hours and then we wake up early and start talking non-stop until I look at E and say "this is why they hate us" and we laugh until everyone wakes up. Yes. Lisa, if you get your own DVC to sleep in, can I have a night there, too? :lmao: Please? I do dishes!

Ask me any questions about the trip and I will reply.

Of course it was amazing and I am missing my BFFs. I am not crying because it's over, though I am teary because it exists. That's the gift. That's the part that gets me. This is my life and I get to have it and enjoy it and these women - my friends - time with them is so precious and that is the joy. No tears because the time has ended, JOY because it was in the first place.

Have a great time Goddesses!!! Don't get into too much trouble. ;)

No, we didn't get in *too* much trouble. The best advice we were given was from Kat's husband: "if they kick you out, don't resist" :rotfl2: hmmm...is that the voice of experience talking? :confused3

Down 1.5. Yeah!

Awesome Lisa!:cool1:

Our snow storm - that was Jo's issue too - came as ALL rain. Those little weather people - spank their bottoms.

 Nasty rotten little storm. We had to de-ice TWICE before I took off Friday morning.

GODDESSES!
Have a fantastic time - eat, drink and be merry!

eat. check. Drink. Double check. Be merry. Check!

Just woke up and checked the live results... Erika, Nancy and Jo all finished together it looks like.

We did! That Jo! She is one determined woman. More on that later in an actual RR.

Back in the chilly northeast. BOO.

Imagine. Mainee is complaing about too much snowflake.

I can't stop grinning this morning. I'm home, moving slow. Reality is a harsh thing to return to sometimes. I should be at the gym working off some of the vacation weight (5 pounds. Look at me go!) but my body is still loathing me for the food and drink I consumed this weekend so I'm focusing on dietary detox instead. I now have to catch up on unpacking, laundry, cleaning, shopping, costumes (oy. the costumes!) and baby goats galore

Thanks Megan. Great story. Inspiring.

And you know what actually hit me the most - when Carr was talking about how it was like his brotherhood in war - to have this bond.

It made me sad that these men (and women but we're different creatures ) come home and the same bond is not always here for them and we can't understand how important it was to them overseas and the loss of that bond is mentally devastating. I've heard that over and over.

I'm actually low today and feel very guilty after reading this article. :goodvibes

But I am so I'm reading and loving it but not up to posting. So I'll return.

Yes, grinning from thoughts of the trip. Happy happy times. And yes, I will do a full race report--and hopefully a full TR--when I can. I have to get caught up with life first!

But really, the title/theme of my trip report will be: People Find Me Delightful. Really.

I don't remember this woman. Who was she?

Don't forget the TSA. They did not find you delightful.

Maybe this should be called "Some People Find Me Delightful, Especially Gay Men on Buses Late at Night".

She was standing outside when we were coming out of Animation. We were singing "Singin' in the Rain" (loudly and off key) and she GLARED at us. Particularly Nancy and I.

And the TTA woman LOVED me. She joked around and thought I was HI LAR IOUS when I was standing on the seat before the doors closed. She definitely found me delightful.

Oh--just realized you said TSA and not TTA. No, the TSA finds no one delightful.

Perhaps you and Nancy just need to practice your rendition of classics in the American songbook. Or we use Becca as a foil and see if the crabbies glare at her. ;)
