Longest Vacation Ever! VGC, Aulani, & More!--Complete!!!

Link works fine....Reading and enjoying so far, looks like you have a great family and a husband that does laundry:lovestruc. What a wonderful view, do you remember your room number? (4508 I have now found that) Back to the blog.:thumbsup2

HEY, No fair looking ahead! :rotfl: I didn't find that DH had written the room number in the blog until today. I came here to post it.

Sounds like a great first few days.

Stupid comment, completely stating the obvious and expected, but your kids have grown up so much since the pics on your last trip report. Time goes by far too quickly! Your kids all look so much alike too.

Loved all the updates!! It's good to see all the details of the places, we are planning on a trip to Disneyland for next year. Thanks for doing this report!!

It's amazing to me too!

Thanks! I plan to add more today (have work to do though) and/or tomorrow. I want to get this TR done so I can start making my photobooks!

All caught up! Too bad Max didn't want to do all the rides. My son had a phase where he refused to try some of the rides he had enjoyed before. It was only a handful and it frustrated us. Good for you not letting it ruin the days!

It is so weird! He'll even refuse to go on a ride that he went on the day before. :confused3 Whatever! Soon enough he'll be over it. I hope my girls don't go through it though. It's nice doing everything together. Not to mention faster!

Day 4 is finished now too. :thumbsup2 Please see the link in post #2.

I think it is taking just as long to update the blog as it does to upload pictures and post them here. The one good thing though is that I've not yet lost any of my updates like I have when I did my TR directly on the DISboard posts. So that's good! :goodvibes Knock on wood!

Love the picture of Zoe on the carousel, she looks so happy and pleased with herself!

Besides tour dinner, it sounds like you had a really fun day and managed to get loads done.

I just found your TR, and have really enjoyed it so far. Just subscribed, and I am looking forward to hearing all about Aulani! We are heading there in August so I am trying to learn all I can.:beach:

You'll love it! Feel free to ask all the questions you want.

Thank you for the new updates! I love all of the pictures. I just have to say again how cute your kids are! I love the one of Zoe on the carousel. You can just see the pure joy in her face. And people say kids need to be older to enjoy going to Disney!

It looks like you all had so much fun at DL!! I hate to see this part of the trip come to an end (I'm ready to go back myself), but am looking forward to your adventures in Hawaii.

Thanks again for taking the time to update us!

Thanks, you guys! I'll do some more work on it today.

Okay. Day 5 is finished. See post #2 as usual for the link.

It IS kinda sad that it's our last Disney day, BUT I'm very excited to tell you about Hawaii too!

Looks like another fun filled day at DL!!

Looks like you had the park to yourselves during early entry.

Love the pictures of Ella at Ariels. She seems to have thoroughly enjoyed herself with the princesses! So funny about her hair. I think my husband used to be afraid of brushing my oldest daughter's hair. He would dress her then just kind of pat at her hair.

Another great update. Thank you!

Thanks for reading along and taking the time to comment. I'll work on another update but not sure I'll finish today.

Evidently I took too long typing my reply and was automatically logged out - and my post lost.

I'l try again.

That’s so weird about the skycap. It’s a good thing you went inside to check. I guess that’s a good lesson for us all – if one person tells you the flight is cancelled, get a second opinion. He should have been happy for all your luggage; more luggage = more tips.

Were your kids able to sleep on the plane ride out?

Your room is beautiful and your view is so pretty! When we went to Maui, we stayed at the Westin Ka’anapali. We were very happy with the space and décor of our room, but were very disappointed in our view. We had booked an ocean view room directly through the hotel. We arrived early in the day, and of course our room was not ready. I asked the front desk clerk if our request for an upper floor had been granted as we thought that would have a better view of the ocean. She looked at me funny, handed me a key, and told me that while the room wasn’t cleaned yet, we could go look at the view. Not only was the room on the first floor (I know someone has to get the first floor), but was the furthest from the ocean (think of a U shaped building) AND looked out upon a building under construction! All that we could see was that 5 story wall! It was their own building as they were adding on. It seemed it was 10 feet from our balcony. Back to the lobby we trotted. The woman told us that these were deeded timeshares, and that when the room was built and sold, it was deeded an ocean view and the deed could not be changed. I told her that when we booked our reservation on cash (not a timeshare exchange), we booked and paid for an ocean view. After much talking back and forth (and them insisting it was an ocean view even though you could no longer see the ocean) she was able to change us to another room. It looked out over the roof of the lobby. If you leaned over the railing, and looked far to the left, you could see a sliver of ocean. They had also said they would move us to a better ocean view if one became available. It did later that day and we received a gorgeous ocean front room on the 4th floor.

Wow!! It guess I had that bottled up inside! Sorry to go on so long on your TR, but it was a round about way of saying you got a fantastic view for an “ocean” view, and yours was a mountain view! How nice to have a view of the mountains and the ocean. AND you did get a great deal on the price.

I just love all of your pictures. Thanks again for taking the time to update us!

All caught up. Nice job with the extra magic hour with your son.

The condo in Hawaii looks awesome! What a view!
