I love the mansion buildings at POR! When we stayed there, I made sure to request the mansion side, because the outside of the buildings are so pretty.

I love that you guys are always going to be known as The Frumps. When you have children, they will be Baby Frumps and then that next generation will grow and continue passing on your frumpish traditions. It's like the circle of frumps.

Bahaha but really... we really will. It's sort of inevitable at this point.​

The Christmas singalong video! Hip Hop Noel (with the dancing reindeer) was my jam omg.

AHHH YESS. I know I had a Christmas Sing Along video... but I don't know if I remember that. But I remember there being reindeer in it! And Toy Soldiers!​

Prince Charming's hat cracks me up. Thank god they didn't include that in the costuming on Once Upon a Time.

I NEED TO CATCH UP ON THAT SHOW. Literally like... I just am incapable of keeping up with TV shows. It's a serious problem.​

OH MY GOD PART DEUX! Chip and Dale have movable mouths now too? It's been awhile since I actually paid attention to the Castle show, so I didn't realize they were all animated. So cool!

The deer are in the Castle show too?? Ahhhh!!! If I weren't 5'3 I'd be applying for a position as a reindeer right now.

YESS! I know, right? Best holiday ever... there are deer EVERYWHERE. You probably have to be like... 6'3 to be a deer LOL. (Actually probably only like 5'10 or 5'11 or something... that's just an estimate. All I know is that they're really tall!)​

Hooray for checking out of the West Gate. I'm so glad that a mansion room was available for you. I'm sure Alligator Bayou is nice, but the mansions look so much prettier. Plus, who wants to stay in a Bayou? Certainly not me.

Yay! I'm so glad too! And yeah that's exactly what I was thinking! I always just picture POR as the mansions... I mean want to stay in the Alligator Bayou section someday.. but the mansions were more important on that particular day haha​

Happy Almost-Three-Month Belated Birthday to your mother! My mom's birthday is December 3rd. She's always wanted to be in Disney on her birthday. Someday we'll make that happen.

Fountains! Spaceship Earth! The monorail! A section of the parking lot is called AMAZE! I've been missing Epcot A LOT lately and this isn't helping. I think I'm gonna go listen to the Epcot Entrance Medley and sob myself to sleep now. Siiiiiiiigh.

Oh my gosh I know. I was listening to Epcot music yesterday morning and I just got so sad. I MISS It SO MUCH!​

I do! I actually stayed there! I think I was like 4 and I have videos from it. Ahh they're so precious. But yes they do still have the giant wheel! I actually have a picture of it coming up!

Chapter 14: The Best Birthday Cupcake EVER!
December 7th, 2011

So apparently on our way to the next park we took some interesting turns and went through the purple arches AGAIN. So yay here are some more pictures!

IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL EVERY TIME!

And then it was time to enter...

DISNEY'S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS! - cue fantastic 40's music -

We parked the car and headed into the park! I loved this sign... I LOVE THE LION KING! I got to see the musical when it came to my town in October, and a few weeks prior I saw it in 3-D... so basically that movie is the love of my life. It really is phenomenal.

So what is the most logical thing to do when you enter a new theme park?

GO GET SOME FOOD!

Now let's think... it's my Mom's Birthday... Birthdays mean cake... where can we find the most AWESOME, AMAZING, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS,
PERFECT-IN-EVERY-WAY, cake-like dessert?

That would be STARRING ROLLS CAFE!

I actually took the picture of this sign to remind you all that...

Christmas Tip #11: Starring Rolls Cafe is only open from 9 am - 4 pm. So don't miss out on your opportunity to get a DELICIOUS [RED VELVET] CUPCAKE and other delectable baked goods by showing up too late in the day!

Alright there's your tour. Now for the important part: The moment when I shove my face with food.

...Or take a million pictures of it first before I allow either of us to taste a crumb.

I needed to have some "real" food since I basically had dessert for breakfast. So Mom and I split the Turkey Foccacia.

This was very, very delicious! We split it, not only because we were still pretty full from breakfast, but also because it is a huge sandwich! I would definitely recommend splitting that!

I think I took off the cheese because it was a little too much for me... but the turkey and the bread were really fresh and they tasted SO good. Yum.

OKAY I KNOW YOU'RE WAITING FOR IT.

Alright now at this point I am just torturing myself. IT'S TIME TO EAT!

....And then it was gone.

My Mom absolutely LOVED that cupcake. It was the perfect little birthday cake for her, especially since she never had one before. THOSE CUPCAKES ARE MIND BLOWINGLY GOOD!

The only problem is that after you eat one of these cupcakes... nothing else that is Red Velvet will ever measure up. YUM AND WOW.

OH MY GOD I SHOULD TOTALLY HAVE THESE CATERED AT MY WEDDING.

That is such a brilliant idea.

I need to start taking notes on these things.

Anyways... you probably have heard enough about my love for Red Velvet Cupcakes. Let's move on.

Even though we were extremely full, my Mom and I decided to go on The Tower of Terror next!

My Mom surprisingly loves this ride! You would never expect her to be such a dare devil, but she is! DUN DUN DUNNNNN! The first official ride on her 50th birthday!

The line was only 10 minutes so we got through no problem!

I love that lobby. I wish I could go over the rope and just go look at everything. There's so much detail EVERYWHERE.

So okay... we're going through the line and everything and this little girl in front of us is FREAKING out. I want to say that she was around 10 years old. She was SO terrified of this attraction since it was her first time ever going on it. Her Mom wouldn't take no for an answer and made her ride.

They ended up sitting next to us and this little girl was hyperventilating. LOL it was slightly humorous actually... but nevertheless my Mom and I both felt really bad and were trying to comfort her. We knew she would be fine but she just couldn't stand the thought of going on THE TOWER OF TERROR!

She was like begging the Cast Member to let her off and her Mom was like "NO SHE'S FINE!" so the little girl just continued to have a breakdown. There was so much EMOTION I felt like I was going to cry too! hahaha

So we went on the ride and guessss what!? SHE SURVIVED! I know, it's a miracle. And she kind of, sort of enjoyed herself. Imagine that!

I was extremely excited to see her facial expression in the ride photo... but someone's arm covered her AND her Mom's face!! Like seriously!? That's awful! What a terrible ending to this dramatic episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE (dun, dun, dunnnn!) I think her Mom was disappointed too because she just wanted to see her reaction photographed as well!

My Mom and I are in the back row in the center, and the other Mom and her daughter are covered up by the guy in the white shirt's arms.

Ahh what a life.

So after that huge ordeal, my Mom and I got off of the ride, looked at eachother and were like... LET'S DO IT AGAIN! So we did!

This time it was much more relaxing! (I mean, as relaxing as the Tower of Terror could be. Which isn't really relaxing at all...)

Holy Cow, I never realized how HILARIOUS this ride photo is! HAHAHA everyone is just basically scattered ALL over the place! Arms are flailing EVERYWHERE!

Chapter 15: "You Only Turn 50 Once, Might As Well Go Crazy!"
December 7th, 2011

Tower of Terror got a thumbs up from me!

A custodial Cast Member, who was an older gentleman, came over and offered to take our picture in front of Tower of Terror.

*Notice my giant band-aid. hahaha FRUMP.

The CM who took our picture noticed my Mom's Birthday Button and told her "Happy Birthday!" He asked us if we went on the Tower of Terror yet and we told him that we did!

So then he asked if we had been on Rock N Roller Coaster! We told him that we did not do that yet!

So... HE GAVE US FASTPASSES! I, of course, was SUPER excited!! THANK YOU, SIR!

My Mom was a little reluctant because she always said she would never go on that ride. She was worried about it because she has lower back problems and she didn't know how she would handle it. However, the Cast Member told her that it really wasn't too bad and that it is the smoothest roller coaster on Disney Property!

Mom thought about it, and she decided "What the heck! You only turn 50 once! Might as well go crazy!"

We headed over right away!

Mom was really nervous the whole time we were waiting in line, but once the ride got going she LOVED it!

The great thing about Rock N Roller Coaster is that it really does hold you in, which I took note of on this particular ride. There's a little imprint in the back of the seat that really keeps your back from jolting around. My Mom felt really safe and secure. She absolutely loved the ride! YAY!

Going crazy on her 50th Birthday:

We got off the ride with all smiles, and then we heard that Beauty and the Beast show was starting! LET'S GO, LET'S GO!

We were in such a hurry that we were running across the street, Mom dropped her Birthday Button, she turned around to pick it up SUPER fast, we were cracking up laughing, and we booked it into the theatre!

We got some seats in the back row. I think they were actually in the handicap section, but they were empty so the Cast Members let us sit there! Cool cool!

My Mom was SO happy we got to see this show because we hadn't seen it in a few years now! It was another great thing to do for her birthday!

I know every single WORD to that show. I just sang along with all of the songs and had a great time for myself. Being Belle in Beauty and the Beast Live On Stage is my absolute #1 dream job. Seriously. That's all I would ever want to do for the rest of my life.

First off: The red velvet cupcake is my favorite, I found out about it on either yours or Kristens TR's and haven't turned it down since! Also, can we just talk abuot how I found red velvet cake ICE CREAM (and it's ben & jerry's!!) ah-mazing

I love ToT! Such an amazing ride! I LOVE that ride pic! The 2nd one, especially the kid in the bottom left corner! He looks terrified! Gah! As if you got through an entire B&tB show without a pic of Gaston! And you should DEFINITELY do an audition for Belle! Whenever the next dance auditions come up I'm definitely doing it! I would *love* to be one of the silly girls (or any dancer in that show really haha!)

I think I talked to the same CM that gave you fastpasses! I spoke with a custodial cast member who has an older gentleman and he worked right by the bathrooms outside of ToT. He was so nice! Though he didn't give me fastpasses LOL... sheesh!! He was still really sweet though.

As I have said many times, you would make a wonderful Belle!

So much to comment on in these last two post, so i couldn't just lurk!

the red velvet cupcakes are DEVINE! My sister and I have been, and will keep on, trying to recreate them! We are pretty good bakers, but I;m not sure if we will be able to! Anywho, YUMMM! Oh, and don't try to carry it around the park for a day. Sadly, it doesn't work too well.

Those ToT pictures CRACK me up. Did you notice the old man with his hand on his mouth! I was crying while looking at them. And the little asian BABY?! He at least looked like a baby to me! So funny! That made my day, so thanks!

I'm glad your mom rode the rock n roller coaster! My mom had vertigo so she can no longer ride it! So she empathizes with your mom! I'm glad it worked out for her!

Phew!

Lastly, the b&b show will always be a favorite! I have seen it in a while either because I always feel like I'm wait for a thrill ride or TSM or something! I should definitely add that to my plans for my next trip. Our school did the musical when I was in 10th grade....wow 6 years ago. Well, that makes me feel old. But anywho, I loved it and can still sing all of the songs!

Awh, I'm SO glad your mom's birthday is turning out to be such an awesome day! She doesn't look her age at all! That cupcake just looks like heaven, and I'm not even a red velvet fan! I can't believe I didn't get one while we were there in January. The day we went to Starring Rolls I wasn't hungry so I didn't get anything.
I had practically the same thing happen to my dad and I when we rode ToT last month. There was this dad and his son who was probably 9 and the little boy started talking to me in the library before they turned the lights out. Well after we exited the library I could hear him behind us saying he didn't want to ride anymore, etc. I tried to make him feel better about it and reassure him that it is really fun. Well when we lined up on our numbers he started crying but was trying to hide it and his dad of course didn't care. I almost offered to take him through the chicken exit if he wanted to, but I could tell the dad was not one who would've appreciated that gesture because he was determined to force the kid on. Wellllll the kid hated it and held on for dear life to his dad the whole time, crying. It made me mad.
End rant, sorry!

I'm really glad your mom enjoyed her first limo ride. I haven't see Beauty and the Beast on stage in years!! I can't believe it's been so long, actually.

OMG THE CUPCAKES. I literally cannot decide. ALL I KNOW IS I'M GETTING ONE. It looks so good so good so good so good! Have you ever had any of the other ones??? I mean, or would you just automatically recommend red velvet?

Also, glad yall liked that sandwich because I read on another TR how 'terrible' it was.

I can't believe that mom forced her daughter onto Tower of Terror. That's just... not okay. Kinda serves her right that their faces were blocked on the ride photo... juuuuust sayin!

YAY for free fastpasses! I LOVE CMs who are nice!!!! You're right, you really stay put during RNRC, which is awesome! The only thing that doesn't stay put is your head hahah, that takes some work.

WAIT, your number one job has CHANGED? I AM SHOCKED! Hahaha that sounds like a good life goal though, I must say!
