WDW Commando Club

This is the rough plan so far:scared1: I'm staying off site, so AM EMH's I'm avoiding:eek:

Day 1 - Arrivial since I don't know for sure what time that will be this will be our Disney off day, heading to SeaWorld & Aquatica, eating at Sharks Underwater Grill

Day 2- Parking at HS taking bus to TTC and will be at MK for rope drop
Goals - Take in Main Street, cover everything left of HM, Haircut at noon, do some meet & greets (leaving a lot of open time, my son will have no problem filling it:lmao:)

Dinner- Hope to get a 5pm ADR for Whipering Canyon
Night - HS (This is a PM EMH + Fantasmic is going on)
Goal- Take advantage of the Fantasmic crowd, lines for TSM should get much shorter after 7 when gates open for Fantasmic, hit pre show meet & greet at A&A, Star Tours (got a feeling this will be my sons fav ride this year:woohoo:) during show Hit RNRRC & TOT 8:55 be on line for TSM, then since we don't have EMH's take our time shopping and taking pics:rolleyes1

Day 3- Park at Epcot take bus to HS
Goal - Jedi Training sign ups right after rope drop, It all depends on what we got done the night before, but like I said think its going to be a big Star Tours trip this time, But I will not know for sure till we get there:rolleyes1

Dinner- Hope for a 5pm EDR at Teppen Edo

Night- Epcot (PM EMH, but can use this on in my favor:thumbsup2)
Goal - Since Teppen Edo is in the middle of the WS, I will pick 1 side to hit the shows & meet & greets to get them all done, do the main meet & greet, MS, and whatever else we can do before 8:30, then it time to get to the WS for Illuminations, after that we will shop the WS during EMH's, instead of wasting time during the day:confused3

I'll post some more later:goodvibes

Day 1 - is that Sunday Aug 19? or Saturday 18?

Trying to co-ordinate... :)

I'm hoping we'll get to play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom when we go in March! That makes an entire new set of cards I want to collect!!

Hey guys! I'm definitely a commando. It's nice to see a group of others like me here on the boards! :thumbsup2 My friends and family are always teasing me about my constant planning for Disney, but they always seem to have the best time following my directions! I'm going to attempt to do all 4 parks in 24 hours on leap day. Check out my Pre trip report plans here and feel free to comment or add any ideas. :goodvibes

I almost forgot about that, haven't heard anything about it for awhile, but have heard things were set up around the park for it:confused3

The game has cards:confused3, you got to fill me in on this, you know how I like searching for cards:lmao::rolleyes1

:welcome: You are member #183 :cool1: I would really love to be at WDW on leap day:banana: The one thing I'm not clear on, are all the parks open 24hrs or just MK:confused3

The last day of our trip last year we did the 4 park 1 day thing, There were no EMH at night that day so we did it between 8am - 10pm, We spent about 2 1/2 hours in each park, had certain things planned, even hit DTD and stopped back to the room quick in that time:eek: I do have to say it was the best day we ever had in the parks, we hit all the main things, I was in 2 shows, & completed
finding all Transportation Cards that were available:woohoo:

You should have a blast with the extra time:yay: I'll have to check out your PTR:thumbsup2

Just MK, so I figured we'd hit up the other parks during the day and then do MK all night:0) But it would be really special if ALL the parks were!

Wow! That is amazing! :worship: You really know how to get things done!

Rest of rough plan

Day 4
Parking at TTC since I'm not sure where we will end up at the end of the night:confused3

Epcot 1st part of the day

Goal - Finish seeing all the shows in WS and hit anything we missed

Dinner- Taking the back exit and heading to Schula's via the Boardwalk

Night- I have nothing planned, so I'll let my son pick where he wants to go, I would like to be at The Contemp by 9pm to see the Electric Water Pagent:thumbsup2

Day 5

Parking at TTC and taking bus to AK
Goal- Want to hit Safari 1st thing & trials, then head to Dinosaur, catch the Nemo Show, Flight of Wonder, and Lion King plus hit some Meet & Greets:woohoo:

Head to DTD would like to be seated at House of Blues for dinner by 4:30

Night park will be MK
Goal - Tomorrowland all of it plus most of Fantasyland, I know my son will get us over to Jungle Cruise, Thunder & Splash Mountian, so things might change :rolleyes1

Day 6 Last Day

Parking at TTC taking bus to AK again
Goal- Heading to EE first, then Dinosaur, get everything that still needs to done, do a afternoon Safari, and finish off with parade:yay:

Head to DTD would like to be seated at T-Rex Cafe by 4:30

Night - MK (EMH till 1am) hope to everything done, let my son have his pick of what he wants to go on, at 9:55 will be on line for Space Mountian, and then hang out for pics and shopping:confused3

Then it's time to plan next trip:thumbsup2

Yep! They are doing beta testing and a small amount of people have been able to try it out but last I read by searching online is that it is set to debut Feb 22nd. I couldn't figure out the site that had pictures of several of the cards but here's a different site I just found: http://www.insidethemagic.net/2012/...neer-offers-closer-look-at-role-playing-game/

ETA: Found a site that has a checklist for the cards for Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom! http://destinationvinylmation.com/2012/01/sorcerers-of-the-kingdom-cards-checklist/

Wow 70 cards:scared1:, And they give you 5 cards, Now that's a challenge trying to score all those:eek: I'm sure you will try it a few times, even if it's just to get the cards:confused3, maybe later in the year we can start something for anyone who has dups can make a trade:confused3 Best of Luck getting as many cards as you can, looks like you are our guinea pig on this one:thumbsup2

That is pretty awesome! I want to be able to do all 6 U.S. Disney Parks in one day like this young lady did: http://www.youtube.com/user/nsiscaretti#p/u/1/i_PE3LkaEtc

:thumbsup2

That was pretty cool, BUT it kinda seemed like a waste of time since she really didn't do much at the parks:confused3, now the flight was kinda like a time warp since Cali has a big time difference, so she gained a lot of time, It was cool but I think it wasn't planned out that well:confused3

I tried to check out your PTR, but it said server not found:confused3

Yay a bunch of commandos. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but he does enjoy the results.

My only confession - we don't always make the rope drop, but that's only b/c we are already eating breakfast inside the park before it happens.:thumbsup2 or we were at the MK until 3am the night before:eek:

I am in the preplanning stage right now. Have done hotel, days at which parks, waiting for ADR window. Trying to adjust for the new FP rules. :sad2:

We will definitely be working in the Sorcerer's game. My son has already watched the video and having done KP missions a bunch, he really wants to do this. Of course, he wants to be Finn the Kingdom Keeper too, but that's another story.

:welcome: You are member #184 :cool1: If your out till 3am missing a rope drop is totally understandable since you more then made up for it, IMO the later it gets the more guests go back to the resort, and you pretty much just walk on everything:woohoo:

As for the Sorcerer's game, I'm glad that Shandale will be one of the 1st if not the 1st Commando member to do it, I can't wait to hear her insight and any tips she might have about it:thumbsup2

Hi everyone. What a great club! We have always thought of ourselves as park commandos because we love to spend a lot of time in the parks and really enjoy staying in the MK after midnight. We confirmed we were commandos when our touring plan did our family in on a trip we took on 2010. We were only taking a short weekend trip that allowed for only one day in the parks. By 6:00 pm on the first day at Disney my husbands family went back to the hotel for the night due to exhaustion and chaffing. :scared1: We could not comprehend calling it quits on our one and only day to visit the parks! So my hubby and kids and I headed back to the park and stayed until 2:00am. Headed back to the hotel for showers and a 1 hour nap as we had to be at the airport by 5:00 am. :rolleyes1 My in laws still think we are Disney crazy. I think they are crazy, they couldnt even hack it for one day! :lmao:

Hey - looking at your signature - looks like you won the OMDD trip.

Congrats... Care to share the strategy?

Oh, and :welcome: to the Commando Club...

I promise to make one as soon as my ADR window opens. I wouldn't want to make one, change it, change it again, and again and again and scare all the nice people.
