8572130!
It's the KLM flying partners code. I got a minivan for April 7th to 14th for $313 including tax! Be sure to enter your emerald ID the first time around...for some reason it's not letting me cancel the original booking I made without it!

This is $11 more than Budget, but with some many people getting minivans from Budget that week, I was a bit nervous! And I can go straight to the aisle!

:worship: Thanks so much just got a minivan for 8 days $358. Nothing beats Nat'l for convenience.

Can you stack coupon codes found on Mousesavers? Trying to work the best deal!

who are klm flying partners..i noticed liability insurance is added..that isn't too safe if it's not a code for public use..do you have any info?

Lori

If it includes insurance, its a pretty sure thing that it's a restricted use code and not a public code anyone can use. The companies have a right to validate your eligibility and can deny you a rental for using a code that you are not eligible, never the less issues if you are in an accident and used a code you are not eligible for (especially one with included coverages).

I agree that it sounds suspect, especially since it includes the insurance coverage, but several people on the boards, including me, have now checked out the code and it's legit. It's the code for members of Flying Blue, which is the frequent flyer program for Air France/KLM. It's free to join the program and the code for National is openly available on KLM's website.

Just go to KLM.com and sign up for their flying blue program, then you'll be completely legit. No fee to join, you'll get a membership number right away.

I signed up. Got an email in french with a numerical user name. Didn't receive a membership number.

Could someone point me to where the site says anything about National. I only see Avis.

Thanks!

On the email, where it says "votre identifiant", that's your ID. You crafted a 4 digit pin when you set up your account.

Go to KLM.com, click on "flying blue" in the top row. Then click on "earn and spend miles". Then click on "flying blue partners". Then choose "car rentals".
Then click ON the national/Citer emblem in the car rental list. Then it will show you the contract ID number.
MUCH easier than all that is to simply go to NationalCar.com and enter the ID number (to do this, you need to click on The more options button just below the reserve button, that way there's a spot for your emerald club info and the Contract ID number for the discount)

YES! I just went in and redid my ressies? New total with KLM discount and Mousesavers coupon- $272.43 for a minivan for April 7th to the 14th!
That makes National cheaper than Budget! I am so psyched!

Budget using BCD x474200 and E-Coupon MUGZ029 for $30 off works out to $272.84 inc taxes after coupon is applied when return vehicle so basically the same deal.

True, Natioanl took the coupon off up front, forgot about the Budget coupon. I do have a minivan reserved with them, but I think they are going to be my back up. I prefer National, I can pick any car from the minivan aisle.

Does anyone know why it says "Level of service: Counter".
The older ressie I have says "Level of service: Emerald Isle".
On the email confirmation, it says "Please proceed to the rental counter".

I did both through the Emerald Club. Do we go to the counter, or do we just go pick up our car?

It should say emerald reserve and instruct you to go right to the aisle. Are you sure you entered your emerald member info?
You can rebook it to fix it, then just call and cancel whatever reservations you don't need anymore (I did this twice already! Once I didn't put in my emerald info and then I canceled again so I could rebook with the Mousesavers coupon added on...)
This is what my confirmation email said:
Your level of service is Emerald Reserve. Please proceed directly to the rental lot and the car class reserved to choose your vehicle.

I just tried it again.
Every time, my Emerald Club # is at the top of the page, but it still says "Level of Service: Counter".

Hmmm. Are you renting out of MCO? If not, perhaps the place you're going doesn't have an "emerald Aisle".
I'd call them and let them straighten it out. Have you checked your personal info on your emerald acct? Are you sure your credit card on file hasn't expired?
