Oh my gosh y'all we had the best time!!!!!! Sarah loved NYC
She has already started a list of what she wants to do on her next trip
The highlight for me was listening to the 250 voice National Honor Choir sing at Carnegie Hall on Sunday
They were absolutely amazing!!! Sarah saw where I was sitting and she positioned herself so I could see her face, which was quite a trick as she was 5 rows back and there were no risers for the choir to stand on. Sarah even came over to see me while they were setting the stage for the orchestra so I could take her picture inside of Carnegie Hall.
I think we hit most of the first timer highlights (in no particular order)--2 Broadway shows; Top of the Rock; Lincoln Center; Empire State Building; bus tour of uptown; walking tour of Wall Street and the financial district; walking tour of the Flatiorn district; the 9-11 memoiral site; Central Park; Museum of Modern Art; Statue of Liberty; a taxi ride; and Sarah spent all day Friday, Saturday and most of Sunday rehearsing!
I also did a cruise around Manhatan; uptown and downtown bus tours (I saw most of the areas of Manhatan); Metropolitan Museum of Art; shopping.
We loved all of the food we tried and although they moved
alot faster than we're used to most of the people were very nice. The nicest was Gaven from "Priscilla Queen of the Desert"! He gave us a backstage tour and showed us all of the dressing rooms and costumes and even walked us onto center stage of the 100 year old Broadway theatre that "Priscilla" is playing in. He also introduced us to several cast members (who were also very charming).
We had the most wonderful time
