Touring Alunai while on Hawaii cruise 4/29

We were in Hawaii in January and went to see the hotel.
It is on the of the island fromwhere the ships come in.....about a 90 minute ride.
It is on a nice side of the island.

Some day I want to stay there! It is beautiful!
I would take the ride over there if it is available

I am curious where you received this information? I have tried to find out if they will bussing to Aulani from the Port and have been told "no" by DCL, as well as, DVC. We have rented a car to make the trip. If they are indeed going to bus members over, I would love to know where to get the information on this. Thank you.

Aulani tour available to Members during Hawaiian voyage!

Members sailing to Hawai'i aboard the Disney Wonder® ship on April 29 are invited to take part in a unique opportunity to tour Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, Ko Olina, Hawai'i, including Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, as part of their unforgettable island experience.

Available exclusively to Members and their travelling parties, this complimentary property tour will take place on Sunday, May 6, and will include transportation between the ship and the spectacular new resort on the Leeward Coast of O'ahu. The entire experience should take about three hours, with 90 minutes dedicated to the resort experience and the remainder earmarked for transportation to and from the resort. If you have pre-reserved Port Adventures with Disney Cruise Line for this day, please be certain to check your availability and plan accordingly to attend this Aulani tour.

Highlights of the Cast Member-led tour include planned visits to:

Maka`ala lobby: Sharing its name with the Hawaiian word for "watchful" or "alert," this welcoming space is designed to begin connecting families to all things Hawaiian.
Waikolohe Valley: Discover the resort's breathtaking water-recreation area, which shares its name with the Hawaiian word for "mischievous water."
Pau Hana Room: The resort's Community Hall is named for a Hawaiian expression that means "after work." It's here that you'll enjoy juice and a small snack before enjoying a demonstration of the resort's interactive Menehune Adventure Trail experience.
´AMA ´AMA: This oceanfront, fine-dining restaurant is named for the mullet fish that thrives in nearby waters and sits adjacent to Off The Hook, a casual bar that's also on your tour route.

No such luck for using the pool.
It is a 3 hour guided tour experience with 90 minutes at the resort and 45 minutes each way transportation. You must stay with the tour group as they show you the different areas of Aulani. It is complimentary and only for DVC Members and those in their party that are on the Hawaii cruise. Tours depart from the ship every 30 minutes at certain times during the day. First one leaves at 7:15 and the last one at 3:15. There is a 3 hour break in between where there are no tours. You must sign up for a time by February 29, 2012.

I could not agree with you more. I am happy that DVC is doing this, but we all know it's just so we will add points. Nothing is going to make me miss my trip to the Arizona and "Mighty Mo". I also really want to try and get to the Wikiki town center to get a Puka Dog. I would love to see the resort as I already know I will never stay there due to its price/points needed per night. I guess we will try to figure it out.

I think you have to be staying there to use the pool. They give wristbands.

I'm intrigued...but I don't think I'l have time between a Pearl Harbor tour and possibly the evening in Waikiki. But I do plan a stay at Aulani in 2014 so I can see it then. Possibly I could sign up for 3:15 though, would that get me back to Duke's for sunset I wonder.

Just called to schedule this & they have added a later departure at 3:45. They said so many people wanted the late tours (because of earlier excursions) that they have added a later one.

I am a but confused is it a tour or a sales tour. Not trying to be mean as it would be fun to explore and see but i don't want to get surprised at the end with a Magical meeting about how we can add on here.

I took a member tour while staying there and there was no sales pitch. We made clear we had enough points and just wanted to see the Grand Villa.

The salespeople at Aulani are some of the nicest we've met anywhere (DLR, WDW). We had a gal from Honolulu (can't remember her name). The vibe is laid back. Not like at WDW or DLR (ugh, hard sell).

I wonder if DVC would have though about the fact that they've got guests coming from the cruise, and there are usually very good incentives to add on aboard ship if you're in the market for an add-on, so why would anyone being offered on-board incentives decide to add on while actually at Aulani? Unless they're going to come up with extra incentives just for the tour.

Yes. The Master and the second en suite are located at opposite ends of the hallway. The third bedroom is located in the hallway past the living room near the second en suite, and does not have a bathroom attached to it.
