Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom

I was hoping to try it out--I guess I was expecting it to be like the Kim Possible spy adventures. Sounds like it's not quite up to that level of creativity. Hopefully the test phase is holding some of the good stuff back.

I posted some pics of people playing it in the main thread. It looks very similar to the MidShipDetective agency. In the confines of a ship that has animated art that game was really fun. In the context of an amusement park surrounded by things like the jungle cruise it was kind of meh. I think it could be fun, but in general there are things that I would rather be doing with my park time.

It sounds fun and like an interesting way to tour the park, but unless I'm on my second or third day at MK and looking for something new to do, I doubt we'll ever do it.

I've always thought Kim Possible was a good idea because, in general, most kids are bored by World Showcase. That game made it fun for them, and at the same time allowed the parents to tour the pavilions without the kids whining about being bored.

At Magic Kingdom, though? Seems like a waste to me. But I won't complain because it's progressive thinking and I always welcome that.

We are going tomorrow for the week so I'm hoping to test it out too. It sounds like it has potential, but they will have to add a lot more to it to make it interesting.

I'm bored with the World Showcase. Now, I like food and drink opportunities and Mexico and Norway are a must for their boatrides, but that is about all I can handle. The Duffy coloring sticks they went to were ok, but then my dds wanted to color and I wanted to get back to Future World and ride Soarin or something else again.

My biggest problem with it is they basically got rid of the Fire station. You can't call it the MK Firestation when there is hardly anything dealing with a fire dept in there anymore. Wasn't happy about it and the cast member was trying to get me to try it because, "next time you come there will be long lines for it and we may not be able to do it then." Well sorry you ruined the FD I don't want to play. Plus we did KP in epcot and it did nothing for me, our boys thought it was ok, but if you want to do anything and are doing the KP you can't do anything else while you are doing it. Not impressed with either.

I gotta wait to see it before I can judge. Hope it is not as annoying as all the "Kimmunicator beeps" at the showcase. Now DW has it on her cellphone too :sad2:

I hate the Duffys. I liked the masks that looked like the ones for sale in Italy, that you could get the little add-ons to from each KIDCOT station. My DD1's stll is displayed here in the living room

I miss the firestation, and and really takes away from the concept of "Main Street USA"

I'll post more when I'm back, but briefly, this was excellent. I wouldn't recommend it for your first trip, but it is really well done, engaging & fun!
