Anyone hear anything about a cast preview cruise for the Fantasy? We went on the one for the Dream and are hoping to preview the fantasy.

I know that the preview cruises are pretty full and I know people who have gotten their state room assignments already. I suppose blocks of staterooms might have been set aside though. (I am not really familiar with the details)

Thanks. I was talking about the cruise they did just for cast members. It was a special cruise that raised money for boys and girls clubs of Central Florida. It wasn't one that regular guests could book. It was only for cast members. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of a similar cruise for the Fantasy.

LOL OK I guess no one knows what I am talking about. It's ok. Nevermind. :)

I believe there is a CM preview cruise departing on 3/26 or thereabout. A CM friend of mine told me that she wanted to go on that cruise and was told that the slots for her group/department were all filled already. I don't know if that helps you or answers your question, but that's what I've heard.

Try posting this question over on the CM boards on here. There might be more chatter about it over there.

I had friends that went last year on the Boys and Girls sailing, I think it was a lottery or something.

This year I heard that they are having 2 one week cruises for cast members. But I do not think it was open to all cast members like last year. My friend was not able to go in the lottery this time.

I think there is a 2 day preview/contest cruise (I think there was something on the Disney Blog?) and then a week cast cruise and then another 2 day preview/contest cruise and then another week cast cruise and then one more 2 day cruise before the Inaugural at Port Canaveral.

Can't promise but I think that might be what you are referring to.

I was on the preview cruise (Boys & Girls club cruise) last year but I don't think anything like that is for the Fantasy this year.

Technically there are 3 Cast Pre-Inaugural or "shake-down" cruises. The first is the transcontinental will be Cast Members, they will go from Europe to New York then on down to Port Canaveral. Then the Western Caribbean Cast Pre-Inaugural leaves March 8th for 7 days (we got our cabin assignments last night!!) Then the Eastern Caibbean Cast Pre-Inaugural will be March 16th for 7 days.

I believe there is a TA/Press pre-inaugural that leaves on the 23rd, but I'm not sure how long that one is.

28 Days til we sail on the Fantasy!

Transatlantic. :):thumbsup2:cool1:

So when does the Coast Guard inspection fit into this timeline?

It's not inconceivable to think that it is already underway. The ship has been tied up to a pier in Bremerhaven since completing her sea trials over a week ago. The US Coast Guard may have already sent inspectors to Germany to get started.

DCL officially took ownership of the Fantasy earlier today in Germany. According to the article, she is scheduled to leave Bremerhaven next Thursday for her 12-day transatlantic to NYC.

TA/Press cruise is a 3 day.returning on the 26th. What about the rest of that week?

I am almost positive that I entered a contest for a preview cruise on March 26th. I don't know which one, but there was a Family Fun contest for cruises that I entered often.

Anyone else remember this?
