Need Info on Cat 5E Dream/Fantasy Rooms - Oversized Verandah Photos?

We just reserved a Cat 5E on the Fantasy for 2013. We have only stayed in the Cat. 4 Staterooms but decided to go with the 5E this trip because it's a little less expensive and will allow us to go during DD's spring break week. I'm concerned that there might not be enough space in the room for all of us to unpack our clothes. Has anyone stayed in a Cat 5E on the Dream? If so, what are your thoughts on the storage space? Also, does anyone have any photos of the oversized verandah? Our room is located at the very back of the ship and the Stateroom reviews I've read said that the balcony is very large with 2 extra loungers in addition to the chairs. We are directly beneath Cabanas so I'm also a little worried that guests will be able to stare at me in my PJs while eating breakfast if they look over the railing. Does anyone know if the entire balcony is exposed or if some of it is covered so a little more private? Thanks in advance for the information!!

If you go to the disney site, you can see a picture of the oversized balcony. Just search for a cruise and when it brings up your cruise where you choose a stateroom, click on the little question mark to see a pic of the balcony. It looks very spacious and has two loungers in addition to two regular chairs with a small table between them. I'm booking a dream cruise this august and 5E is my first choice stateroom. It is gty status though so I may not get one.

The category 5E cabins are mainly along the stern now. The ones on deck 5 (formerly 5Es) that are the much discussed 'can you see me now' cabins have been re-categorized as 4Es.
I've stayed in 5656 (then a 5E) on the Dream and enjoyed it very much! I didn't even think about people looking down at me. There is enough of an overhang that you can keep your chair closer to the door and be more secluded. If you are standing at the rail to look at the ship's underwater lights, etc., of course you can be seen. But, that applies to any verandah.
Oh, and storage? I had no problem with storage. 2 closets with plenty of hangers and some shelves, drawers next to the closets, drawers in the desk and extra storage in the coffee table that opens up.

Here are some pics from other posters ! I have 7192 & 7194 Aft connecting rooms and connecting balconys that will be huge ! We will be decorating for Christmas with outdoor lights :lmao:
Floor above flag pole center room 7194 Extra wide balcony due to storage area along side room!

The actual square footage of the room itself is no different than other verandah cabins that are cats 5-7. We had 4 of us easily in a cat 5b but the cruise after that we stayed in an 8D which in size/storage is equiv to a cat 4 except has a window instead of verandah. The 8D did have a LOT more storage. So much that even with 4 of us (2 ad, 1 teen, 1 tween) we had cabinets that stayed empty, and this was with us cruising 7 nts, b2b. When I get home tonight, I'll dig up pics of both to compare.

Mickey2000, thanks for digging up my pics! All are mine except 1st one & I'm at work & no time to search for them. :goodvibes
I took those on our PC day of our b2b when they let us onboard but before guests started arriving. It was nice to see the various cabins with all the doors propped open. I chose 7194 b/c we have it booked for a future cruise. I should have checked out the Walt suite! :sad2:

As an FYI, from what I've read in various threads most, if not all, of those 5Es have rectangular tubs instead of the round tubs. No big deal for my family. I actually prefer the rectangular shape over the round shape anyway.

My family and three other families have booked 5Es all in a row for a Fantasy cruise later on this year. We can't wait to open up the balconies and enjoy an even larger space outside.

Thanks!
Maybe they will be ok as they are led battery operated NO ELECTRIC or cords !

Possibly....but the other issue is they ask that you don't hang things from the balconies.....towels, clothes, signs, etc.....I am guessing but I think it is to prevent things from falling off the ship and/or to keep the classy look of the ship intact. I know I have read it but can't remember where.

Thanks for the info on the shape of the tub. In December we were in a 5e that is now a 4e and it had the same shaped tub as the Magic/Wonder I was beginning to think I Dreamed! about the change is the tub shape. I have to say I will take the oversized veranda any day over the shape of the tub.

Ok, I am confused.
I just booked a cat 5e gty for a 7 night on the fantasy for Jan 2014. I keep reading that other people that also booked a cat 5e picked their rooms. When looking at the deck plans and rooms, I only see cat 5e that are gty. I've called Disney and asked if we can pick a room and you have to wait until they are assinged. I guess my question is how can you pick your room with the cat 5e? Are they are a gty? Thanks

We booked Jan. 2012 for a May 2013 cruise.
