TR:A Wonderful Disney "DREAM"!DH has been converted!

I'm so glad you're back! I love your stateroom magnets.

Thanks for joining in again! I notice that your first cruise is in a month. How exciting is that? I have 5 months until our next one. Happy sailing and I will be looking out for your TR, if you decide to write one.

You booked another one! :cool1: That's excellent news! Which one are you going on? I think you were trying to decide which one to do last thing I remember.

I'll definitely be writing a TR. I'm so excited!

We are going on the Dream again on the 5 night on the 13th of July. It will only be me and DH. We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary. Then next July we are taking the kids on the 7 night Eastern Carribean on the Fantasy. Dh does not know about that, but he will learn soon enough :rotfl: Yeh, like last minute so he can't protest. He messed up when he told me to pay off most of our debt, then he would not protest about vacations. So I am happily paying off credit cards.

That's fabulous! That'll be really nice, just you and DH.

Sounds like you're in love with DCL :)

How wonderful! Our 10 year is in July too. We will most likely celebrate it in the Spring though.

I don't want to deceive anyone, our anniversary is actually in August. We are celebrating it then because our kids go back to school in August. We would not be able to leave them anytime during the school year. I hope that you have something fun planned. We are going to have a big reception with family and friends. I may even purchase another dress, but it has to be form fitting this time around.

After the sail away party, we went got some snacks and just enjoyed sailing away. Somewhere in the mix of that we did actually check out the kids clubs. My son was ready to go right away. While my family enjoyed wondering around the ship I was on a one woman mission to find the laundry. I ironed all of our clothes for the trip to get it out of the way. In July I am going to have our clothes sent out to be pressed. DH was complaining that I never truly relax on vacation, because I am always cleaning something. They came and found me in the room putting things away. DH plopped down on the bed and watched whatever sports he could find. It was around 6 pm at this time, we had late dining. We didn't make it to a show this night. DS took a shower dressed and headed to the kids club. We went to get him before we went to dinner but he said that he had grabbed a sandwhich and some fries so he didn't want to go to dinner. DD wanted the same thing, so we dropped her off at the kids club as well. This night we ate at Enchanted Garden without the kids.

The food was so good that DH and I both received seconds. I had scallops which are my absolute favorite thing to eat and DH had the Sea Bass.

We received our birthday dessert which neither of us could eat because we were stuffed. After dinner we stopped by to check on DD, but she wanted one more hour so we headed to the District. They were doing the Newly Wed game when we arrived. It was down right hilarious. DH had a couple of drinks, then we headed to pick up DD and DS. Got to the room showered, then it was lights out.

Yum. I think I might try the sea bass next time. I did have the scallops, and thoroughly enjoyed them too.

Looking forward to more! I don't sail on the Fantasy for another 551d 14h 21m but who's counting? :rotfl:

This morning DH and I woke up and took a run around deck 4. I must say that with the wind blowing in my face from the breeze, I thought my lungs would explode. There were also other people utilizing the track as well. It was a good way to start the day and clear my mind. After the run we went back to the cabin to shower. DH showered and laid back down. I chose to go and get breakfast in peace while the kids were still sleep. While eating breakfast I noticed that Nassau was starting to appear. I finished up breakfast and returned to the cabin. I sat on the verandah while DH and the kids started to wake up. I watched the tug boats give a push in.

I took a couple of pictures arriving in Nassau, then it was time to get the kids breakfast.

I caught sight of the hurricane damaged straw market.

Went back to breakfast with the family, however I did not eat again. We had no excursions booked at all for this cruise. DH and I was here for our Honeymoon, which we stayed at the Sandals Resort. We did excursions then so we were content with not doing anything. DH stayed on the ship,DS went straight to the Edge to have fun. So DD and I were the only ones to go onshore this day. She had some money that was burning a hole in her pocket that she wanted to spend at the Straw Market. As soon as we were given the all clear, we took our KTTW cards and her money and went shopping.

She spent her money on two items(one which she broke within 2 hours of getting back on the ship:confused3) hey it was her money. After we braved the Straw Market, we walked about two streets up then headed back onboard.

Here are a couple of photos that I took of the ship and Atlantis.

DAY 2 to be cont'd..........

I know what you mean about Nassau. It's kind of like you want to check it out...but not for too long. I do love taking pictures of Atlantis though.

That place is just tooooo congested! I Didn't feel like getting run over on vacation!:rotfl: I wanted to go to Atlantis, but I didn't want to confine ourselves to a schedule this trip.

I last left off where Kyla and I headed back to the ship. When we got back onboard we walked around a bit, then we decided to do the detective agency. I must say that this game was entertaining. We found some nooks and crannies that I would not have found other wise. After we finished that we headed to the room to see what DH was doing. Of course he was watching Sports. I decided that it was time to head to the spa for awhile. Kyla wanted to stay in the room for awhile and play with the things she had gotten. She received alot of goodies from the FE, this kept her occupied. Well I arrived at the spa and was lead to the women's locker room where I changed into my swimsuit. The first stop was the wet sauna, I absolutely love the wet sauna. I stayed in there for about 20 minutes, then I went the dry sauna and stayed in there until I saw that Allure of the Seas was going to dock. I then moved to the 2 person hot tub to watch her dock and marvel at her size. I sat in there for 20 more minutes then I headed back to the room to shower. Dh and Kyla had decided to go and ride the Aquaduck. My DD did not trust me to ride it, so she went with DH(way to hurt my feelings). I explored a bit longer, then I went back to the room to get our dinner clothes ready. After everyone made it back to the room we decided to go the the game show "It a Pirates Life for me".
disneycruisepics110.jpg

DS did not feel like having family time. He wanted to get back to the Edge.
disneycruisepics112.jpg

disneycruisepics111.jpg

The game show was cute and the participants were funny. Alot of people dressed the part for Pirate's Night. The only one that wanted to participate was DD. She wore a bling skull shirt and bandana. After the game show we walked around and looked at the meet and greets. The only picture that was taking with a character this night was Pirate Minnie.
disneycruisepics107.jpg

By the time we got dressed we had missed half the show, so once again it would be no show for us. Dinner tonight was at The Enchanted Garden.

Our server was Andre and he was wonderful! He was making DD into the Statue of Liberty. She thought it was pretty funny. This was the first night that Andre got to meet the kids, because they were not with us the first dinner. DS made half way through dinner, then darted back to the Edge. Dinner was wonderful and I can't remember what we had. Andre knew to bring DH a second portion without even asking. His suggestions was spot on and DH really enjoyed that. After dinner we headed to the Pirate party.
Of course they had to be selling light up toys and they made DD happy to beg for one. She chose a light up sword that we still have at home. I am happy to say that 5 months later it is still working. We watched the show for a little bit then I had to hurry to the buffet to get one of these............

disneycruisepics150.jpg

When I found out that they have Turkey legs on Pirate night I made a bee line to find them as soon as they opened Cabanas. I fell to mention that at dinner DH didn't want any dessert. So I told Andre to bring him a plate of nothing and this is what DH got.
disneycruisepics077.jpg

Learned that form the boards. DH laughed so hard I thought that we would stop breathing. Back to Pirate night... after eating on that turkey leg I was most definitely full. It had gotten late so we headed back the the room. I changed clothes and laid in the bed until 1145, then I had to go drag DS from the Edge. After that it was lights out. Gotta get rested for CASTAWAY CAY!:woohoo:

Great trip report!:thumbsup2....You have a lovely family and you look beautiful in your blue dress for dinner!:)

Iam glad to hear your Ds loved the edge. My dd will be 12 when we sail this summer and Iam hoping she will enjoy it to. Did you feel it was supervised well?...I hear they have them at activities all over the ship?

At first I didn't, but that is me a woory wort mother. They have them all over the ship and my son enjoyed the structured activities that they offered. With that being said they are free to roam about the ship. I across my son a couple of times getting food at Flo's. I had him show me a couple of times how to get back to the room before I became comfortable with him going on his own. I also told him not to go to another room or bring anyone to ours. I would definitely be more trusting on our next cruise. Hope that I answered your question. Thanks for the compliment! I love that dress!
