Resort community besides Windsor Hills

We've stayed at Windsor Hills several times and love it. We are now planning for Spring Break (first week in April. yes I know it's late to be looking) and everything there seems to be booked already.

I know nothing about any of the other resort-type communities. I'd like something close to WDW, like Windsor Hills, that is newer or at least in very good condition.

We need 2-3 BR (2 adults, 3 kids) and prefer a townhouse with a splash pool over a condo.

Any suggestions? We don't play golf but a large pool (besides the splash pool) would be nice for our off days. Specific units would be great, but even good community recommendations are fine, and I can do the looking from there.

Thanks!

We've stayed in some smaller homes (with full-sized pools) in Indian Creek and been very happy. It is a no-frills area, but if we have our own large pool and a place to lay our heads, I am happy. And the price is right. I wish I had kept details about which houses we stayed at, but unfortunately I did not.

If you want a community as new as Windsor Hills, then you may want to look at Encantada. Most of the townhomes were built around 2006. I haven't stayed there (we stay in Windsor Hills) but here is a recent thread discussing Encantada:

You may also want to consider Crestwynd Bay. It's the community just before you get to Windsor Hills. I'm not sure how old the community is. You may also want to consider Windsor Palms and Emerald Island which were built around 2002. All of these communities are gated and have a large community pool. They are all very close to Windsor Hills and much cheaper. Here is another thread discussing the different communities:

Good luck with whatever you decide and please post and update.

Reunion Resort is south of WH by about 5 miles. It's a huge resort with condos, townhouses and homes. It's a very upscale resort. You can rent privately through owners on vrbo/homeaway or through the resort itself. There are 8 or 9 pools, 3 golf courses, spa, tennis, waterpark etc. Renting through a private owner may or may not give you access to the water park. It's something you should ask them. I think renting through the resort does give you the waterpark but it's also probably more expensive. http://reunionresort.com/
They don't have townhouses with splash pools. It's only the pool homes that have private pools.
Encantada does have townhouses with private pools, as does Paradise Palms.
