So right after the Costa Accident, someone mentioned that the Wonder might delay the Muster Drill and Sailaway party until tomorrow. I just wanted to know what happened with that and what the plan is for tonight. Thanks!

maria-fan-22,

I'm sure they said last year they delayed the emergency drill until the next day, and DCL enquiries said they had no info that it would indicate that it would be delayed this year.

Also interested to hear what happened thou!

I was on the phone with my friend who works on the Disney Wonder and I heard the alarm go off for the muster drill. Don't know about the sail away party though.

I think it'd be best to relax and wait until the passengers are back from their vacation to report what time their muster drill was. I don't see why it's critical to know tonight, the people who are on that cruise are probably enjoying their vacation, not worrying about informing the DIS.

Just got off the Wonder today and I know when we sailed on Jan. 29th we had the drill and the party. I would think after an accident no one would put off a drill... maybe a party but never a drill.

But we had both and although I was unpacking and missed the party (got there as it finished) everyone seemed to have had a great time.

I believe the reason for this question today specifically was that there has been discussion of how the party and drill would affect any showing of the Super Bowl (or vice versa), since it took place right when the muster drill would normally occur.

Welcome home, hope you had a great time!

LOL oh ok... thanks for catching me up, I would hope though that safety would come before football but that's just me.

On the way home now Cruise was great. Service was out of this world! Weather beyond great! Food could have been better... but that's cruising for you. pirate:

I was on the 02/05 Wonder, and the Safety/Muster drill WAS held, but earlier than usual at 3:30 pm. I noticed that the passengers were all paying much closer attention this time, and that we went through lining up in family units at our boat, with smallest in front.

The Sailaway Party was held immediately afterwards with the SuperBowl coverage taking over the Funnel Vision.

:goodvibes Glad you had a great time. We LOVE the Wonder and its cast and crew. I dream about our next chance to sail with her again. And, yes, I'm with you: Safety comes first.
