Why Not Just Queue Up Another Disney Trip? Link to New TR 6/24 p136!

Fun DIS meet! Looks like everyone was having a great time!

Love all the Disney touches in your new office!

Great pictures from DHS! You have such a knack for finding cool angles!

Congrats to Nick for being named captain for next year! That's awesome! We named our two captains for this season, and one of the girls burst into tears because she was so surprised to be named. Made me teary-eyed, too.

Have fun this weekend! Don't injure yourself any worse.

I wasn't going to update until tomorrow, but I was up at the crack of dawn because I really did mess up my neck last night. I must have given myself self-induced whip lash. Perhaps people my age have no business being in a Woodstock show or at least should not try to dance in one of them. I seriously thought I was going to have to go to the ER. Then I downgraded myself to the medical aide unit. Now I have just decided to suck it up. If I take a muscle relaxant I won't be able to be in the show today and we have two shows - one at 3pm and one at 8pm. I guess I'll eat Motrin and continue the warm soaks. At least I can turn my head to the side now (a little). Sucks to be old. Since I can't go running and probably shouldn't even be lifting laundry, I have to stick to super sedentary things like the DIS board.

So, how about if I pick up where I left off. That was after a fun morning in DHS - Star Tours, RnR, ToT, and TSM plus a side trip to the Animation Station. Even though it wasn't quite 11:30 am I was starving already (which seemed to be the case all week). Much earlier in the morning I canceled an ADR at Sci Fi Dine In. Why? Simply because I didn't feel like spending 90 minutes at a sit down meal. So what does Nick tell me he wants for lunch????? Yup - you guessed it! A burger. Doh! Right about now a burger and some amazing onion rings sounded pretty good.

Was I sorry I canceled the ADR? Maybe a little, but not really because there were still a few things I wanted to do at HS and I was hoping to swing over to Epcot around 2pm to meet with Kara (who I missed the night before). Time was awasting.

Nicholas requested the Backlot Express which seems to be our counter service of choice when visiting HS. Remember I wanted to try Starring Rolls. But I guess since Nick eats turkey, ham, or peanut butter and jelly every day at school, he deserved a burger.

First we cruised by the Studio Catering Company, but they showed no signs of life, so we headed up the streets of America to the Backlot express.

Past the Muppets

IMG_02351-1.jpg

This could have been a cool picture if it wasn't so blurry. (consequence of walking and photographing)

IMG_02371.jpg

I noticed that the wait time for Star Tours was only 10 minutes. Better get a FP just in case!

I decided it would be nice to eat outside since the weather was perfect (not like those hot summer trips)

IMG_02381-1.jpg

IMG_02391-1.jpg

Cool chair back

IMG_02411-1.jpg

The long awaited, heart attack inducing, cheeseburger......

IMG_02421-1.jpg

Denny and I decided to share the veggie sandwich and the turkey sandwich.

IMG_02431.jpg

It was a good choice. And it was here that I was actually glad that we didn't do the dining plan. If we had I would have been compelled to eat dessert and none of the desserts looked all the great. It would have been waster calories, plus I didn't feel stuffed after our meal.

Next stop -

IMG_02451-1.jpg

It was a smart move to get the FP's because the wait time was now 30 minutes!

Somebody looks like they got a shiny new exterior

IMG_02481.jpg

And the grease stains on this little fellow are gone

IMG_02491.jpg

Are you guys hiding from me?

IMG_02511-1.jpg

oooooohh.....Is this new?

IMG_02521-1.jpg

there's plenty of room in the Star Speeder 1000

IMG_02531-1.jpg

Another super fun ride on Star Tours and before I knew it we were back out on the streets of America.

IMG_02541-1.jpg

What a fun balcony!

IMG_02551-1.jpg

IMG_02561-1.jpg

IMG_02591-1.jpg

I was really starting to long for the Osbourne lights!

I love this nativity scene and I love that Disney is not afraid to put it up.

IMG_02601-1.jpg

IMG_02621-1.jpg

This is seriously nicer than the one at my church and only one of my churches even puts it up.

So any guesses on what we did next?

Well, since its taking me forever to write a post because I have to keep changing my position, let me make my page break here..........TBC...........

Continued.......

Even if you read my May TR you probably won't recall that I had tried to do the Backlot tour but baled out of the line when I found out it was running at half capacity. The choice at the time? Backlot tour or be on time for Hollywood Brown Derby lunch. Pretty much a no brainer.

Well, today there were no technical difficulties and a very short wait in the queue until we saw this

IMG_02631-1.jpg

Look familiar? Caitlin / Dawn? Didn't someone in your family get picked to be in this skit?

IMG_02651-1.jpg

Our Announcer - an old guy - Just proves that you are never too old to be in show business. He was great!

IMG_02661-1.jpg

IMG_02671.jpg

One of our victims....er, I mean actors....

IMG_02681-1.jpg

I think most of you know what's about to happen next.

IMG_02691-1.jpg

Watch out fool!

IMG_02701-1.jpg

I hope that was gortex rain gear!

IMG_02711-1.jpg

This picture reminds me of my SIL. She could be in a flood and still not let go of that phone.

IMG_02721-1.jpg

And just when you thought the deluge was over. WRONG!

IMG_02731-1.jpg

Even the em-cee is ducking under the podium for cover.

IMG_02751.jpg

The rest of the crew (and I might add that these gentlemen were fairly easy on the eyes. Thank you Disney casting!

IMG_02761-1.jpg

I bet their wives can't get them to do this at home.

IMG_02781.jpg

Look...It's a bird. It's a plane. It's.........

IMG_02801-1.jpg

........an underwater explosion?

IMG_02811.jpg

IMG_02821-1.jpg

IMG_02831-1.jpg

Love my camera. Just like being in the front row without any of the hazards.

IMG_02841-1.jpg

Applause Applause. With the marvels of movie making behind us, it was time to tour the backlot complete with Hannah Montana's house. Did this movie actually make money?

IMG_02871-1.jpg

Nice. I wonder what Miley Cyrus has to say about this house now?

IMG_02881.jpg

On our way to the tram we passed through rows of eclectic props and what not

IMG_02891-1.jpg

IMG_02901-1.jpg

What the heck is this? One of Miss Piggie's old costumes?

IMG_02921-1.jpg

I was seriously just aiming the camera in all directions. I have no idea what half this stuff is..

IMG_02941-1.jpg

or what movie it came from

IMG_02961-1.jpg

Continued.........

Continued.......

Now THIS is cool.....

IMG_02971.jpg

IMG_03061-1.jpg

Eye balls anyone?

IMG_02981-1.jpg

There really seems to be enough to go around.

IMG_03051.jpg

Are these devices of torture?

IMG_02991-1.jpg

What movie is THIS from?

IMG_03031-1.jpg

I almost expected to see Mary Poppins here.

IMG_03071-1.jpg

Props from the Adventurers Club.

IMG_03121-1.jpg

And right outside as we boarded the tram was this....

IMG_03131-1.jpg

Once on the tram we passed this

IMG_03141-1.jpg

IMG_03171-1.jpg

Oh Look - Here's the picture that became my new avatar.

IMG_03191-1.jpg

I thought it was cool to drive past the cast members that were actually working on costumes and props.

IMG_03211-1.jpg

IMG_03221-1.jpg

What tour is complete without Herby?

IMG_03281.jpg

This was right before we entered Catastrophe Canyon

IMG_03331-1.jpg

The canyon awaits

IMG_03351-1.jpg

IMG_03361-1.jpg

IMG_0338-1.jpg

IMG_0341-1.jpg

Remember what happens next?

Well, it starts with a little rain.

IMG_0342-1.jpg

Which gets heavier

IMG_0343.jpg

Add something combustible

IMG_0344.jpg

And.....wah lah........

IMG_0345-1.jpg

A catastrophe!

Continued.........

Thank goodness its in the 70's today and not the 90's

IMG_0346-1.jpg

This doesn't look too good.

IMG_0348-1.jpg

Holy mother of flood water.....

IMG_0349-1.jpg

Now that's close

IMG_0350-1.jpg

IMG_0351.jpg

Watch out Nick - you're going to get SOAKED!

IMG_0353-1.jpg

IMG_0354-1.jpg

Is it slowing down yet?

IMG_0357-1.jpg

Why - yes - yes I think it is

IMG_0358-1.jpg

I forget how much water they said got recycled every time this ride sequence was activated, but it was A LOT! I tried to google it, but couldn't find it.

IMG_0359-1.jpg

CC was actually pretty fun. I don't remember being all that impressed the first time I saw it (which had to be on one of our first trips to the world), but I really enjoyed it this time. Impressive.

Here we are now finishing up the tour.

IMG_0364-1.jpg

I know you all know where these props go.

IMG_0368-1.jpg

Why here, of course.

IMG_0371.jpg

IMG_0372.jpg

It would have been pretty cool if a show was going on.

I actually took this picture from the ride

IMG_0374.jpg

Last stop. There is another display area at the end of the ride which leads directly to a dump shop. There were some cool exhibits.

IMG_0375.jpg

IMG_0376-1.jpg

IMG_0377-1.jpg

IMG_0378-1.jpg

I am singing White Rabbit in the Woodstock show. I conjure up this picture when I sing, "And the red queen is Off with her head"?

IMG_0379-1.jpg

There was a cool display of the top 50 villains of all time.

Nurse Ratched

IMG_0382.jpg

Mommy "bipolar" Dearest

IMG_0383.jpg

Was this movie really released in 1987? Yikes. time flies.....

IMG_0384-1.jpg

Moving on.......

IMG_0385.jpg

Continued in next post

This was something I had been looking forward to seeing. It's so freaking cool

IMG_0387.jpg

IMG_0389-1.jpg

IMG_0390-1.jpg

IMG_0392-1.jpg

The dump shop. I'm so glad Nick hasn't outgrown his love of trying hats on.

IMG_0394.jpg

IMG_0397-1.jpg

Isn't this little boy adorable?

IMG_0396.jpg

This shirt cracks me up.

IMG_0395.jpg

IMG_0399.jpg

At this point it was already about 1:30pm and time to head to the front of the park to catch the boat over to Epcot. Denny and I Nick were sort of undecided if they wanted to head over to Epcot or go back the resort. I knew if they came with me we would have to come back to HS to get the car. Decisions Decisions.

So - Up Next.....Do All Three of Us Make it to Epcot for a DIS meet. Stay tuned! :goodvibes

Wow! What an update! :thumbsup2

I feel like I got a tour of the streets of NY and the backlot which was a wonderful diversion from this cold, snowy morning :)

You have a good memory! Caitlin and I both did the movie scene 2 years ago (she was on the phone and I was the skipper) Caitlin also did it again last August and this time she was on the boat and let someone else get wet :rotfl: FYI-if anyone wants to do this all you have to do is volunteer with the CM working the queue. It's a lot of fun and a great memory!

Your tour pics are great and how cute is Nick in those ears!

I'm guessing the boys didn't join you for the DisMeet.

What a fun update! I think the backlot tour was closed the last time we were at DHS.
Nick looks cute in the hats!

Sorry your neck is hurting - I know how you feel! I have a lot of tight muscles in my neck and shoulder area and if I do stuff like dance it can really be a problem! I should have more frequent massages ;) but sadly, insurance won't pay! I might have to try chiro.

I am glad you're enjoying the show though! Maybe you just need to stretch out before dancing!

I hope your neck is feeling better soon!!!

I always wish that we could skip that whole "pre-show" for the Backlot Tour...I mean, it's entertaining, but it's something we've seen SO many times!

I know that on Catastrophe Canyon, it's 70,000 gallons. (Thank you youtube!!) (Around 3:14) :rotfl:

I'm sorry that your neck is hurt. That's never any good. Just make sure you take good care of yourself.

Doesn't it always figure that you cancel a reservation and then the day of, you would want that reservation? My life always seems to work that way.

Every time I go on the backlot tour and we reach catastrophe canyon, I slide to the other side of the tram because I don't want to get soaked! It's so crazy the amount of water that flows through there.

Can't wait to hear about the DIS meet!

Unloading all your pics are we? :goodvibes

Nice shots of Catastrophe Canyon!
And did they actually have guests at the beginning of the Backlot Tour or were those CM's?
The last couple of times we rode, they skipped those bits and just did the scenes without people - it was disappointing!

Wonderful update! Even on my phone your pictures are fantastic!

Isn't that piano from Pirates great! I was leaning over the railing trying to soak in all the details. I love movie props :cloud9:

I hope your neck is getting better. Have you tried icey hot?

So sorry about your neck Mary Ellen! I hope it feels better by now!

Ok, here's my big comment. Ham, turkey or PBJ at Salisbury?? Did I read this correctly? Because I know for sure the Commons has lots and lots of options other than that! Maybe you need to clear the air for me on this one before I get too fired up :rotfl:

The only thing I ever "find" in that darn prop room is the statues from Narnia and the Eyes Balls boxes :lmao: But I LOVE the costume rooms as you whiz by in the tram, I wish you had more time to see that! So cool!

And my mom and I were chosen for the Backlot Tour back in...1996 or 1998. I was the one that got all the water dumped on my head and my mom was on the ship, pretending to throw fake bombs and point her gun fingers in the air to shoot at invisible planes. Oh my gosh we reminised something else this trip about that one :rotfl2:

Can't say I've ever tried Backlot before for lunch. And YES we did try Starring Rolls this time! And it was DELICIOUS! I even tried the infamous peanut butter chocolate cupcake (which may or may not have been my 2nd dessert in a row that day) after stalking 3 people whom I saw have one and I noticed the lack there of visible peanut butter in said cupcake. But I caved, and boy am I glad I did. PB is not visible, but totally there :thumbsup2

Congratulations to Nick. That's great.

Thanks Tina! Nick is so excited and motivated for this!

I'd say that's pretty impressive.

It does look impressive on paper, doesn't it?

I could see doing this, actually. Maybe not any other Orlando attractions, but just hanging out at the resorts, I'd be cool with that. One of my dream trips, actually, is Christmas week at AKL, possibly without park tickets. There's so much to do at that resort and the parks are crazy.

I never actually thought about a non park trip during Christmas, but that actually makes a lot of sense, particularly at AKL where there is so much to do. Now that I know about the sunset safari, I could totally see doing that. I would have no problem soaking in the ambiance of the AKL for a week! ;)

Mark did this in July, I didn't. I hope I can in February. He said it was awesome. If not, I can always go in April.

You definitely have to check in out in February. It's a ton of fun!

That's terrible about the TSM FP line. Why, oh why, are the lines for the ride so crazy? I love that ride, but still...

It was controlled chaos. Thank goodness that the CM's were managing that line so well. I love that the CM's even got the FP's for each quest. So much more efficient!

I just think that is such a popular ride because EVERYONE can ride it. Every other ride will weed out guests, but this one is for everyone.

I really hope I get to do ToT at some point. The queue looks so cool, although it looks like a ride that would make me ill. I can get sick riding in regular elevators, so... But RnRC..that's a different story. I'd love to see that track, too.

OMG - you have to try ToT at least once. I don't like elevators either. I take the stairs whenever possible and ToT does scare me ( a lot actually), but once its over I get that thrill ride high. To get through the drop sequence sometimes I focusing on counting and that makes me less afraid. At least go through and see the queue. It's one of the best.

RnR rocks!!!!!

Good luck this weekend!

Thanks. Overall I am very happy with how the show went. It was a lot of fun!

Fun DIS meet! Looks like everyone was having a great time!

It was really fun to meet Mark, Julie, and the kids! It's fun to find a DISer right in my own backyard.

Love all the Disney touches in your new office!

:

I am having a blast decorating my new office. I have I am not overwhelming my coworkers with too much Disney. Is that possible???? :rotfl:

Great pictures from DHS! You have such a knack for finding cool angles!

Thanks! It's so fun to go back and take new pictures of the same area. I have had my camera for two years but I am still rephotographing some areas with it.

Congrats to Nick for being named captain for next year! That's awesome! We named our two captains for this season, and one of the girls burst into tears because she was so surprised to be named. Made me teary-eyed, too.

Awww - that's a great story! It's even better when the child really appreciates the responsibility and doesn't just expect it. I really didn't know they were going to name him at the banquet. I think they usually decide closer to the start of the season. It was a nice surprise, that's for sure!

Have fun this weekend! Don't injure yourself any worse.

:rotfl:My neck is so much better today. I guess the spasm released. So embarrassing to admit that you injured yourself dancing, so I kept it on the QT last night. :rolleyes1

Wow! What an update! :thumbsup2

I feel like I got a tour of the streets of NY and the backlot which was a wonderful diversion from this cold, snowy morning :)

I was definitely on a row and took a ton of pictures after lunch.

Did you get a lot of snow? I find the DIS is a wonderful bad weather diversion. It definitely helps the winter months be more tolerable!

I thought so and looking at my pictures I actually can't believe that all that water didn't blow Caitlin right off her seat! Wow! It's a pretty impressive amount of water but perhaps its angled to really go "around" the victim.

I thought about volunteering, but I was too impatient to wait since a new tour was just starting. But I have to admit, I would have loved to see Nick participate.

Your tour pics are great and how cute is Nick in those ears!

Thanks!

I'm so glad Nick loves to try the hats on. I like the Indiana Jones the best! Should have bought that one.

I'm guessing the boys didn't join you for the DisMeet.

Well, there's actually a little twist in that story. :rolleyes1

What a fun update! I think the backlot tour was closed the last time we were at DHS.
Nick looks cute in the hats!

Thanks! Glad you like the hat pictures. The last time I was on the backlot tour was in 03 (I think). I was definitely due to revisit it and I'm really glad I did. I enjoyed it.

Sorry your neck is hurting - I know how you feel! I have a lot of tight muscles in my neck and shoulder area and if I do stuff like dance it can really be a problem! I should have more frequent massages ;) but sadly, insurance won't pay! I might have to try chiro.

I try to pretend that I don't have neck problems and probably should get a simple neck xray to see if I have arthritis changes. If I sleep wrong I get tight neck muscles and I often get tight in the shoulders and the back of my head. Fortunately, my neck is 99% better today.

What is chiro?

I am glad you're enjoying the show though! Maybe you just need to stretch out before dancing!

:rotfl2:That would probably be a good idea! :rotfl2: I keep forgetting that I'm not 20. Nick came to the show last night and he said the way I was whipping around no wonder I hurt myself! :rotfl:

I hope your neck is feeling better soon!!!

Thanks! It is so much better today. I am so relieved because I was starting to get worried about work tomorrow. I am just going to keep sleeping on a heating pad. :thumbsup2

I always wish that we could skip that whole "pre-show" for the Backlot Tour...I mean, it's entertaining, but it's something we've seen SO many times!

You can, can't you? :confused3 Because I haven't done the tour in so long I actually found it entertaining, but I can see where it would get tired if you watched it every trip. And the tram tour is fun. I would love to go back to that costume area before the dump shop. That was cool!

I know that on Catastrophe Canyon, it's 70,000 gallons. (Thank you youtube!!) (Around 3:14) :rotfl:

You and your youtube!!!! Thanks for finding that info! I knew someone would! Very cool! That is a heck of a lot of water!

I'm sorry that your neck is hurt. That's never any good. Just make sure you take good care of yourself.

Thanks! My neck is actually so much better today when yesterday I could barely move. I definitely put a muscle in spasm and it is not released. Yeah!

Doesn't it always figure that you cancel a reservation and then the day of, you would want that reservation? My life always seems to work that way.

I really did want to try the burgers there, but I knew timewise it wasn't going to be the best idea. I think we would have had to skip the backlot tour if we had eaten there because I wanted to try to leave the park by 1:45. It would have been so rushed.

Every time I go on the backlot tour and we reach catastrophe canyon, I slide to the other side of the tram because I don't want to get soaked! It's so crazy the amount of water that flows through there.
:rotfl2: Looking at those pictures I am surprised that Nick did not get soaked. :rotfl2:It's pretty cool to be that close to that much water and stay dry!

Can't wait to hear about the DIS meet!

Next update!

Unloading all your pics are we? :goodvibes

Yup! I took quite a few pictures this day! I always photograph heavy if its an area I haven't seen for a while or don't have quality pictures of.

Nice shots of Catastrophe Canyon!
And did they actually have guests at the beginning of the Backlot Tour or were those CM's?
The last couple of times we rode, they skipped those bits and just did the scenes without people - it was disappointing!

Thanks!

I think at least some of the actors were guests because there was a mom with her kids and they were making comments about daddy, so I assume they were together. Not sure about all three.

They did the scenes without people? Really? I thought they sort of canvased the line looking for volunteers. :confused3

Wonderful update! Even on my phone your pictures are fantastic!

Thanks! So glad you enjoyed the pictures! Brave - reading from your phone. I find it to frustrating. I think they need a phone app so it goes in a more readable format.

Isn't that piano from Pirates great! I was leaning over the railing trying to soak in all the details. I love movie props :cloud9:

That piano/organ whatever it is IS so cool! Wow - talk about creativity to come up with that. Love it!

I hope your neck is getting better. Have you tried icey hot?

I used something like icey hot, but what really helped was just simple old warm, moist compresses and motrin. I feel so much better today. Thanks!

So sorry about your neck Mary Ellen! I hope it feels better by now!

It really does. It's much better than I had hoped for. Thanks!

Ok, here's my big comment. Ham, turkey or PBJ at Salisbury?? Did I read this correctly? Because I know for sure the Commons has lots and lots of options other than that! Maybe you need to clear the air for me on this one before I get too fired up :rotfl:

You read that half correctly. Brian is the one at Salisbury and the good food (he goes back today). Nick's high school has the worst food ever. It's all this processed high calorie crap. He asks to bring his lunch everyday and that's what I pack - those 3 things. He never buys burgers at school because apparently they are super expensive and disgusting.

I bet Nick is going to be so excited when he goes away to school and finally gets some good cafeteria food!

Wouldn't it be fun to really do a behind the scenes walking tour through all the props. I would love that. I love the detail, the fabrics, the costumes, the designs.

So let me ask you this - What did it feel like to get hit with all that water? Does it totally miss you? It looks like so much fun to be part of that show. We should have volunteered. I know Denny wouldn't do it, but Nick totally would!

S
Can't say I've ever tried Backlot before for lunch. And YES we did try Starring Rolls this time! And it was DELICIOUS! I even tried the infamous peanut butter chocolate cupcake (which may or may not have been my 2nd dessert in a row that day) after stalking 3 people whom I saw have one and I noticed the lack there of visible peanut butter in said cupcake. But I caved, and boy am I glad I did. PB is not visible, but totally there :thumbsup2

So glad you tried Starring Rolls! I have heard so many things about that peanut butter cupcake. I really should have steered Nick back in there as we were leaving because he would have loved that. Doh! Of course, he was already hungry again when we left the park. Kids!

Ugh, I'm sorry about your neck! I hope you feel better soon! :goodvibes

Great update, you got so many pictures of the Backlot tour! I remember loving Catastrophe Canyon when I was a kid! And the Earful Tower! Remember when that was MGM's icon before the hat? I like the hat, but I kind of wish it would go back to the tower. :confused3

Can't wait to hear about Epcot and your DIS meet! :thumbsup2

Glad you had fun at "Woodstock" but so sorry about the crick in your neck! Hope it feels better soon!

Now back to the trip....looks like you guys had such a blast!!! Don't you just love the new Star Tours? I'm hoping to ride a few times in May and see some different scenes.

I haven't been on the backlot tour in ages. It looks way more fun and interesting than I remembered...or maybe it is your fantastic pics. Either way, will have to give it another shot in May!

I know there was more I wanted to say but it escapes me for now.

Sorry - I was referring to chiropractic care when I said chiro.

I should have a neck x-ray and exam too. I like to use heat on mine a lot.

Ugh, I'm sorry about your neck! I hope you feel better soon! :goodvibes

Thanks Jen. I feel so much better today. The way it hurt yesterday I thought I was in for it for at least several days, but I'm good!

Great update, you got so many pictures of the Backlot tour! I remember loving Catastrophe Canyon when I was a kid! And the Earful Tower! Remember when that was MGM's icon before the hat? I like the hat, but I kind of wish it would go back to the tower. :confused3

I almost forgot about the MGM icon tower. I love the Earful tower. It's cute, but I do miss the old one as well. Glad you like the pics!

Can't wait to hear about Epcot and your DIS meet! :thumbsup2

Next update! popcorn::

Glad you had fun at "Woodstock" but so sorry about the crick in your neck! Hope it feels better soon!

I really enjoyed Woodstock. I was so impressed with how well all the "kids" played. They sure didn't have shows like that when I was growing up.

My neck is so much better today. Thanks! :goodvibes

Now back to the trip....looks like you guys had such a blast!!! Don't you just love the new Star Tours? I'm hoping to ride a few times in May and see some different scenes.

I loved the new Star Tours and I really wanted to ride it more than twice (Nick and Denny got to ride 3X). Is that fair, I ask you????? :confused3 I want to see all the scenes.

I haven't been on the backlot tour in ages. It looks way more fun and interesting than I remembered...or maybe it is your fantastic pics. Either way, will have to give it another shot in May!

I hadn't been on it for about 8 years and I wasn't that impressed with it originally, but I enjoyed it a lot more this time because of all the new props. It's really quite an eyeful. Give it a ride in May and see what you think. It does give a different perspective.

I know there was more I wanted to say but it escapes me for now.

I do that all the time, especially if I try to read before I leave for work.

Sorry - I was referring to chiropractic care when I said chiro.
Doh! I kept reading it like it said churo :rotfl: My mind is always on food.

I have actually given a lot thought to a chiropracter because I always feel like I am out of alignment and that my head is not on straight - literally!

I should have a neck x-ray and exam too. I like to use heat on mine a lot.

Sounds like we are in the same boat. I have been waking up with a stiff neck for years, but now it just seems like it doesn't take much to mess it up. And then nothing feels right when your neck is messed up.

I am so glad your neck feels better! As you know I've been going to the chiropractor, physical therapist and orthopedic massage to get mine back in order. It hasn't been fun at all! A spasm like that is exactly what finally got me to go deal with it super aggressively though I'd started with the chiro about a month before the killer spasm.

I am really glad I did the PT, I learned a lot that has changed some things that I think is really helping to keep it better. I'm just now starting back up with working out and am terrified of re-injury. If it makes you feel any better, it can seize up even without dancing like a crazy person :rotfl: or at least mine did.

I will say good pillow and mattress helps a LOT. Ice too, not heat, at the end of the day. It is very nice, at the end of the day now, to not feel like I could snap my head off my neck...that's how tight it would always be, very draining. At the end of the day though. 90% of it was postural. Fix that and...voila, no longer carrying an extra 10lbs of weight and strain on the neck.

Still, I love that you had that much fun dancing at it!

Ok, back to the update. FUN update and great pictures. I've never done the backlot tour. We've looked at it a few times and have always been off on the timing.

LOVE the pics from the display area at the end of the show, I need to see that!

Random question for you on the OKW studio...how was it for that many nights with 3 of you? I'm wondering if the 4 of us could live in a studio for longer than 3 nights and if so, which studios. The E's are still really small (size wise), just now getting close to 5 feet and 65-75lbs soaking wet tops each. Granted, a lot could change in that area in a year and a half but given their ages I'm not actually expecting a ton of growth until starting about then...just wondering your thoughts on that.
