Great shot Karen. :goodvibes

So excited for you. Can't wait to hear about it all when you return. Plus, OMG I can't even imagine the photos. :worship:

Lisa - so happy to hear about Frankie's test results. That makes the decision so much easier. The little guy will be up and about in no time. Give him and extra hug for me. :goodvibes

JC results are in - I normalized after last week's ridiculous loss. I am happy. I am even happier now that I have a plan of attack for my vacation that starts on Friday. I have not had a real vacation since my friend's wedding in Las Vegas in September, 2010 and I so need to take some time off from work, turn off my cell phone and unplug from the world. So that is what I am doing. I may sneak back from time to time to check in here but no promises. :rolleyes1

Again, I am loving the conversation here and I really am sorry for skipping out on you all for the last six months. I forgot how much stronger I am for being here.

Yes - as Ronda asked - where Ms Paula?

Or just hanging out?

Great on the maintain. HIGHLY underrated. If we all respected it more......

Well come on up. :rotfl2:

When that happens I just turn it to the Canadian station and even the President can't infiltrate. :rotfl2:

Oy. I really am trying to listen and pay attention to what he has to say, but I keep getting distracted by the stupid look on Joe Bidens face. I swear he's not even TRYING to look like he's listening  And John Boehner just looks disgusted

Thanks, so far so good. He went in about 7 am and will be home tomorrow afternoon.

She said it went well.

Neville is lost. I keep telling him "he's coming" but somehow I don't think he's understanding. ;)

Poor Neville! I'm glad to hear Frankie is doing well. :flower3: Are you going to have to try to keep Frankie quiet when he gets home? Or is Neville free to pounce with glee?

:scared1:

Holy cow Batman. Does he love it?

I don't want to get you all revved up but what are Becca's plans?

I'm ducking for objects thrown my way!!!!

oy. This one I'm NOT ready for. MY BABY! :sad1: Don't ask me such questions Lisa

Honestly though - so far she thinks she wants to stay close to home. Not because of ME mind you, but so that she can come home and work with her voice teacher. Naturally. Her *other* mother. The one who gets the sweet Becca all the time, not the teenage-girl-attitude Becca  Time will tell though!

Well even Canadians couldn't quite escape this time. I didn't realize that BL shortened for it.

But on a last minute speech - or a storm update local US station - we Canadians just a change the channel and get the program.

I know - BAD question. Oh boy - same age practically - I don't have any children (I would type yet but I think that's delusional at this point :3dglasses) and yours......

Well I must shut up AGAIN. :rotfl2:

Can't wait to see what Becca does - she's so talented Nancy.

I asked them about Neville. They don't seem concerned. I AM. :rolleyes1 Especially b/c I live in one room. But I'm sure Frankie will have hissing all prepared. He doesn't usually but I'm sure he'll tell Neville. But then again that could only egg on Neville. He doesn't understand why Frankie isn't into playing anymore. Neville is 7 this year but acts like a kitten. And if not playing ALWAYS want to be with Frankie when he sleeps. And never gives up. Pray for me. :rotfl2:

Well. I just now got the email. Becca got the part of Lucille in the musical No, No, Nanette. She is soooooo happy :yay: Oh the nerves and stress and anxiety in our house this last week. :faint:

<sigh>

I did tell you that she once proclaimed her life's ambition to be an orange saftey cone in Times Square, right :lmao: Yeah. She figured that way she can stop traffic any time she wants too :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Karen - How's the foot feeling? are you packed and ready to go?

Nancy, they are still sore when I get up in the morning, but it gets better throughout the day. I'm sure they will be sore on the trip with all the walking, but I'm bringing Ibuprofen and vodka. ;) Packing...uh... :rolleyes1

I'm a SERIOUS planner, I've been planning this for 2 years, but now that we're two days out, I don't know what to do with myself?!?! :confused3 I think it's b/c the only thing left to pack (which is a LOT) is stuff we are wearing and using already??? So, lots of laundry in the next two days and packing toiletries, etc. I'm crazyexcited, I have butterflies off and on all day long! :goodvibes

Hi Everyone

Remember me - I start a thread then disappear :rotfl2:
I'm still trying to drag my sorry a** through the days - the good news is that it *should* get better at work...should! :rotfl:

1) Congratulations Becca! :cool1:

2) Becca is a girl after my own heart! I don't know if I told you this before - when I was younger guess what I wanted to be....a white line. Yes, you read that right. I wanted to be a white line. The ones in the middle of the road that separate the lanes. I've always been weird :rotfl2:

My dad actually mentioned it in his speech at our wedding. Good times :lmao:

Karen - Love the hair :lovestruc

Lisa -

Everyone - Hi :grouphug:

I have been reading, I promise! I WILL find time to check in daily - I need to keep myself sane :rotfl2:

ah, the essentials. What else could a girl need?

what a pair the two of you would make :rotfl2:

I'm just back from a rather ugly PT session. Arthritis bites. That's all I have to say about that

Jo & Liz - how's WW going for you guys? I'm really having a love/hate relationship with my points. Well, mostly I love to eat and hate to track. :rolleyes1 But beyond that I still struggle with snacks. I know fruit & veggies are "free" but I'm a carb-aholic and some days I just need those tricuits, kwim?

Hi Ladies!

Nancy - you have my permission to make sure I check in once a day! :lmao:

KAREN!!!!! GREAT hair!!!! And so exciting, you leave so soon!!!!

I am totally on with tracking, on with exercise. Not perfect, just plugging along. No more perfect.

Also,I think I just agreed to do the Komen 3 Day 60 mile walk for breast cancer. That's insane, right?

I really love the free fruit, I have to say...my advice is eat your favorite carbs (yes, I ate saltines recently!) and try nuts. More points, yes, but protein. Nuts and an apple. Balances it out.

I am either eating under or over, not hitting it right no right now. But I figure that's okay as long as it balances. I am trying to balance, that's all we can do, right? :goodvibes

Insane? Not at all! I think it's awesome! Tell me more! Is it 20 miles a day? Not timed right? You just walk at your own pace? Makes me think of the 50 mile Legacy March fundraiser for Wounded Warriors that Seth has done twice now. You could SO do it. It would be amazing.

I'm NEVER under on my daily points. I use every single one of them, plus some of my activity points. I haven't used the extra weekly points though. I'm s-l-o-w-l-y losing. Turtle slow. But, I must say I'm not suffering. That's a plus I suppose.

Seth is Seth! I have no doubt h could do 100 miles in one day if he had to!

Me, I am me. Yep, 15-22 miles a day. And sleeping in tents. Although it seems in Philly they have the tents inside sometimes! That would be better and cleaner. :rotfl:

Not suffering is key. Yesterday I was famished; today I burned dinner and it was too late to eat anyway, and so I am having a protein shake and calling it a day. It's weird, how my body changes.

Liz, I think it's great too. A local friend of mine did this recently and her FB posts about it seem to indicate she enjoyed it (well as much as you enjoy walking 60 miles!).

However, it's a huge commitment from a training perspective.

Trucking along here. I had a 200lb cut and highlights reward planned that might have to get moved to a 205lb reward, as I would really like to have it done before the Princess. My hair is really, really long right now and I'd like to get a few inches knocked off.

I had my official weigh in this morning and I was down .6

In one month I've lost a grand total of 3.6 pounds. Can you say "snails pace"???? :snail:

And while I'm trying to embrace the loss, I'm still just a tad frustrated. Erin is frustrated. I am spending so much time working out right now - nearly 2 hours a day! I can't DO any more than that. And honestly, I've only been able to workout at this level because because of the seasonal nature of my job. It won't be very much longer before 2 hours at the gym simply isn't an option anymore.

Curse that stubborn fat that refuses to let go!

Time to take a good hard look at the foods I'm eating and try to tweak the system a bit.:upsidedow

Nancy, maybe your body is just trying to adjust. I mean, you went from nothing to a lot...let your body adjust. It's only a few weeks. You don't have a lot to lose, do you? - 5 more lbs? So that could be it, too.

Liz, I really do think you are right - on both accounts. Perserverance. That's all I need, right? Well, that and another glass of water

Karen!!! I sure hope you have packed by now! Tomorrow is the big day, yes? :woohoo:

Kat - cut and highlights. That's a great reward! :thumbsup2
