Which size Keurig?

Thinking about buying the mini brewer at Kohl's this weekend...with coupon it will be $88. But I was wondering, since they are all single cup brewers, why would it matter which size you get? What is the benefit of having the larger machine/larger water resovoir:confused3 It seems like the mini brewer would be enough for us...Thanks for letting me know your experience/opinions!

I have the Keurig that makes 3 sizes...I have to brew a large cup and a small to fill my mug. I think they are 5 oz to 7 oz. Find out how many ounces the single makes and see if you drink more than that.

The benefit is time (and convenience). A large reservoir will hold 48 - 60 ounces, so you will be able to make several cups of coffee before having to refill the reservoir. When you refill, it will take a few minutes for the water to heat and be ready to brew. I have a 60 oz. I can make coffee for DH and I one right after another. The kids can get hot water for their hot choc. without waiting. Four cups in maybe just over a minute vs. 9 minutes at least b/w refilling and waiting for water to heat.

The larger machines also offer more choices for amounts brewed. A travel mug needs the large 12 oz size. My machine has 5 settings. I use the two largest ones the most often (10 and 12 oz).

With the mini you have to fill up the reservoir each time you want to make a cup of coffee and wait for the water to heat. I know that it doesn't sound like a big deal but trust me - it is.

The bigger models have a reservoir (40 and 60 ounces) and is much more convenient. The coffeee machine is ready when you are.

IMHO it is worth the extra money for the larger model. We have the B60 and love it!

bought the small one for my dad....I visit and get aggravated :rotfl: it takes too long....I guess I am spoiled...we love our machine...

I didn't realize the water was pre-heated!

I am looking at getting one for work and that would be great! I was looking at the one with the big "container" on the side, is that the water that is pre-heated?

Thanks!!

I have a mini plus for my office at work. It is tiny and I need desk space.

It really doesn't have "3" cup sizes - really you just pour in the amount you want based upon the cup you are using (6/8/10 oz) and then hit a single button. THAT is what heats the water, and it runs the hot water through the k-cup.

if you put in too much it will overflow. not enough and the machine won't work. i usually take my coffee cup, fill it with filtered water, then dump that in the top then hit the button.

you can do better then 88 if you have a bed bath and beyond around.

use a 20% coupon and you will get 20% off $100. They will let you combine that with a 5 dollar. So I got mine for 75 out the door.

All the reserve does is keep water there so you don't have to pour the water in. I have a reserve keurig at home, but a mini plus for my office.

Gotcha. That's what I thought, but was excited with the thought of it being pre-heated!

Right now you can get the B31 for $65 (roughly-depending on the filler you pick) shipped or the B40 for $82 shipped from Bealls.

When you go to their site (B31, B40) you add either to your cart to see a total of $0% savings. With the B31 add a small filler to get your total to $65 and you enter promo code FASHION and it gives an extra 25% off plus free shipping, with the B40 you don't have to add a filler since it is over $65.

WOW - THANK YOU:yay: I just ordered the Elite from Bealls instead of the mini for $81.99 and that includes tax and shipping:banana: I was planning to buy the mini for around $88 at Kohls tomorrow and that didn't include tax or the cost of gas to get there!

Thanks everyone for explaining the difference between the sizes; this one has a 48 oz reservior which should be enough for 3 of us. The website says it has 2 choices of cup sizes but it does not what say what the sizes are.
I guess if you select the larger cup size your coffee is just more diluted.

Thanks again; this is DH and my bday presents to each other and we are looking forward to receving it and using it!:woohoo:

HTH! BTW, the two sizes that it brews is 7.25 to 9.25 oz. and can brew either a regular coffee cup or a travel mug. :thumbsup2

Oh and I don't know if you noticed or not, but you also get an 18 coffee and tea sampler pack too!

Thanks again! I got notification today that it has shipped already:woohoo:

You're going to love your Keurig. We now have four; two at home, one in the office, and one in storage for a family member who is moving nearby.

They are excellent machines, and Keurig really does stand behind their products. We've had an issue with one of them not sucking in enough water and reset/descaled/cleaned the machine out, and it still didn't work. Keurig sent a new machine with a sampler pack just for the trouble.

Enjoy your new toy! Let us know how you like it!
