I totally get waht you're saying about being tired but still managing to get up early when at Disney World!! It's one of the few places I actually didn't mind being woken up by the alarm!

Hi!!! So glad to have you reading along still I hope you guys had an amazing holiday season!! We had a great Christmas and relaxed New Years...it was wonderful!!

That is too funny...maybe in some crazy way Christie and I are related Totally random...but my grandmother moved to the states when she was in her early 20's...so I am part Canadian

Glad Tim liked Soarin'! It is probably my favorite ride ever! I am with you...it just relaxes me and makes me happy.

Love all the food and drink pictures...keep them coming!

I loved trying all the food and wine at the festival...too bad it wasn't all free

Looks like the MNSSHP was a lot of fun. And you're doing a great job of giving Tim the EPCOT tour. Could you be any less excited on Test Track?

The mother daughter trip was amazing, it was so nice to spend time with my mom without the usual interruptions in life it was priceless like you said!!

So it seems like I have fallen off the face of the Earth, but I am ready to kick this TR back in gear and hope I still have readers

I wanted to do a quick update or two on my most recent trip and then get back into my trip with Tim

My mom and I arrived in WDW on Friday January 6th and I was greeted at POP Century by a wonderful friend I have made through the disboards wedding section. We have become great friends over text messages, phone calls, etc. and it was so great to meet her in person!! MrsDuck (Faith)

We chatted for a while, our moms got along great as well! Its nerve racking meeting someone for the first time after talking online or on the phone, but it was like we had known each other for years

After we sadly had to say goodbye to Faith and her mom...we checked in and the CM was awesome. She helped my mom purchase an AP since we will be back in September for the wedding it made the most sense. They offered us a room with a king bed (of course when you dont want it) but we asked for two double beds. We were in building 1 in room 1234, gotta love it

We were watched over every night by Lady

I really liked the 50's section, we were close to the lobby and food and busses...also it was very quiet where we were. The housekeeping was sub par, but thats ok we dealt fine with it

After we were settled in, we headed over to WWoS to get my race packet at the expo. Holy craziness it was PACKED!! very hectic, but I got my packet, saw my running hero Jeff Galloway (far right) and bought a ton of gear including a vinylmation and t shirt

Finally after stopping at the resort again we were on our way to AK, by this time it was around 3 pm. I was excited to see the Christmas decorations still up

We headed straight to the safari, because even though AK was open until 7 all the animal related things were only open until 445 pm

It was an awesome safari, I got to see the hippos outside of the water, and the lion was pacing waiting for dinner. It was cool doing the safari at that time, because usually I do it first thing in the morning

Once we made it through the safari they were closing most of the other animal areas but we were fine with it, we knew we would be back soon in September. We walked around and enjoyed the park

We got to meet some awesome friends, my mom loves Eeyore

I got her to go on Dinosaur too!!! My mom hates anything rollercoaster related or anything too crazy...she hates drops so this was a tough sell because what feels like tiny drops to me bother her and this has little ones. We were in the front and she loved it!! She thought the ride was well designed, a lot of fun, and she was so proud of herself and said she would do it again!! Success!!


Our second day was DHS...I didnt realize when planning there was EMH that morning starting at 8 am...we arrived around 8:30 and there was hardly a line for TSM so we got fastpasses and rode that standby.

My mom said this her favorite ride out of every Disney ride we were laughing so hard trying to win the games and having a great time! It made me so happy to see her having so much fun. This was my first EVER vacation just the two of us and it was an amazing experience for both of us

I got to meet some of my favorite guys, my shirt was very appropriate for this meet and greet

Then my mom and I stumbled upon no line to meet these guys...what luck!!

We were able to grab a bench and see a performance...I truly LOVE stuff like this and its something that sets Disney apart

We had a lunch ADR at 50's primetime...the food was delicious as always, but they don't really play around with the guests at all anymore..such a disappointment to us. Honestly we probably won't be back anytime soon unless they bring that back, because we usually went for the experience.

After that we shopped some and walked around and headed to DTD to do some real shopping!! The next day was my big race day

I really liked the 50's section of Pop! I have nothing to compare it to, of course, but it was nice, and so close to the food court!

Your pictures from AK are great, I love that tree!

I'm not really a big P&F fan, but I do like that platypus! Your shirt is adorable!

We left WDW the day of the marathon! You may have been running past the Poly when we were leaving. Glad that you're posting about it, I'd love to hear about how it went.

Can't wait to hear how the marathon went! Alex had a few coworkers who participated in it, and he's been telling me what they thought of the whole thing.

It's cool that all the Christmas decorations were still up for you and your mom to see. Reading about how much fun your mom had on TSM makes me super excited to take mine on it in May.

The 50s section of Pop really is quiet!

Woohoo on having a DIS meet - it sure is great meeting people you have got to know for so long on these boards and you are right it does feel like you've known them for ages

I loved the 50s building when we stayed there though we were protected by The Tramp!

You got some cool shots of the safari and love the pic with Eeyore!
