Disney Y.E.S. Program

I apologize if this has been addressed elsewhere, but I didn't see anything. When we pick up the actual tickets, will I need the kids' birth certificates? I remember I had to have them when we picked up our GAD tickets, and I wasn't sure if this was the same type of situation. Thank you! :)

*edit*

Oh just kidding! I'm so sorry, I was so excited when I saw the classes that far open but that was for all the CALIFORNIA classes which have been up for a while! SORRY!

*sigh* now to keep up the daily checking

You really had me going there, Smile5sunshine!:rotfl:
I checked not even 1/2 an hour ago, then read your post & RACED back to the site!
But don't worry - I've done the same thing myself - and I'm sure many others here have too...

I am so excited I found out about the Individual Enrollment! We homeschool and I was waiting to see when and if they were going to have homeschool days in the fall. Now I can plan to go when we really want to, in October! Two of my kids are interested in the American History class and one wants Physics. I told them we'd have to save as a family for tickets and now my 10yo is canvassing the family for donations for a lottery, all proceeds to go to the fund. The prizes are a dirty stuffed octopus or a coupon good for 50% off one of my daughter's foot massages! :lmao:

I thought they had classes for the yes program in November of last year, am I thinking wrong? I was hoping to go in November but maybe I need to change my dates! Thanks

*If we enroll in the YES program and buy a 5 day ticket, is one of the ticket days used as entry to the park the day of the program? If our YES program is at MK-then are we locked in to MK for the day? (If we get the non hoppers..)
*When does enrollment open for September, typically? I am so excited to do this for the boys' birthday trip!
*My boys are twins and will be in the same program. Can both myself and DH attend with them?

I'm sure these questions have been asked and answered a million times but I just couldn't find the info on the other thread!

Yes and Yes. I do not know the answer to your other question.

I'm fairly certain it says one adult can attend with a child in Individual Enrollement, so I can't see why you both couldn't go with the two kids. If they were two unrelated kids taking the class they would each have an adult with them.

we are going to (as soon as its available) sign up for the 5-8 yo 'How Things Move'. Does anyone know the approx. time it starts? I know its at the MK. ALso, this will be the 6/18 class. If there's no concrete answer yet, I understand. Just hoping there might be.

Does it start before the 9am opening? Right at 9am? Later in the morning? Afternoon?

Also, the description says 2.5-3 hours. I'm planning on it being 3 hours. Any suggestions or experience on length of time of the program?

Also, I have read the description, just just curious. Is anyone able to share a first hand experience of what the program is? What did you do? What were the activities? How did you like it?

the site will only allow you to sign up one adult per class.

My tax refund will be in my account on 2/1, so I am hoping the registration doesn't open until then;) If it does, I will be scrambling, as I am really worried classes will fill quickly this time.

I think you're safe. I'm not affiliated with Disney in anyway, but it looks like they're changing the way things go. Last year they posted the schedule a "season" or two ahead. Summer posted in January, Fall posted late spring/early summer. It was posted and then when on sale immediately. So you had enough advanced notice to make plans.

It looks like this year they are posting all the dates up front and then not releasing the tickets until closer to the actual date. Again I have no idea if this is the real plan I'm just guessing.

My plan is to book the hotel based on the dates of the class I want (which was the plan before, using last years dates) and then just check back regularly when to see when registration is finally open.

I actually hope its not much later than beginning of February. I would hate to have to double my ticket costs if I don't get in a class, and it would give me peace of mind to have it booked early vs. later. I do have my condo booked and will be buying our Amtrak tickets in a few weeks. We'll do a PriceLine rental car, so I think I should wait a bit for that.

I am sure the answer is somewhere posted but I can not find it. If My nephew signs his daughter up for a class how many yes tickets can he purchase for the family, grandmother etc. What is the max?

Just him, his partner, and kids. Not grandma anymore, unfortunately.

Hope no one is bothered by the reposting of theis, but just trying to plan and worried these questions were missed. Does anyone know anything about my questions? Thank you for your help.

Can grandparents sign up a grandchild, get discount tickets and take a child to a Y.E.S. class? Or is the program only available to parent/child pairs? I understand that a parent cannot sign up a child and also get tickets for grandparents, but what if the grandparents are taking the child to WDW?

I lost my link to the class schedule from last year, but it looked like most of the classes started at 7:45 or 8:30am. Of course that may change for this year.

I don't have any personal experience, but I would be interested in reading responses to your questions as well. This is the same class I'm planning to sign my two younger kids up for (in Aug). My youngest is 6, so this is the only class he can take.
