Shrek Takes On Mickey: The Dreamworks Experience Aboard Allure of the Seas 9/18-25

Thank you so much for posting this trip report. My family was one of the casualties from the Christmas Wonder MR cancellations. Tried to stay with DCL but the prices were soooo prohibitive by this time that we booked the Allure. Your reports have skyrocketed the excitement for my family and we are truly excited to try something new.

Keep the reports coming! You have a wonderful writing style and I can't wait to read more!

Thank you again for helping to salvage my families spirits.

ohhh Johnny Rocks havent had that in FOREVER so good!

You guys crack me up.. Ok Savannah lol. looks like a go time was held and not bad price I thought they would jack it up more since its the Allure.

Finally caught up on your TR. Amazing stuff! Wife and I are sailing on RCL FOS this June and are really looking forward to it. Thought we'd skip the Oasis class as being too big but your TR is giving me second thoughts. Might have to try it sometime.

That's awesome! You'll love Freedom! We were on her sister ship Independence in '10 and it was terrific! :goodvibes

We have a dancer in our family too and Christmas time is uber-busy in our house so I can imagine you had quite a lot to do during that time. Our competition season just started so it won't slow down for us until May. Hope you find some time to finish up but I totally get where you are coming from and it really is worth the wait.

Thanks, it is actually a lot better now that the holidays and Nutcracker are over Plus we do a lot of our privates/rehearsals during holiday break so that was a whirlwind, and even with the comps starting next month I am happy to settle back into a more normal routine! Best wishes for an awesome competition season to you!

Woo Hoo! Gotta love Johnny Rockets...and those endless fries! Love the ketchup smiley face with the eyebrows.

He was cute, but dare I admit I love the ketchup mickeys more...:rolleyes1

And how cool is that the kids had the carousel to themselves!

That happened more than once actually- most of the time it was very, very sparse crowds. Until the last afternoon and then it was NUTS! We actually had to wait in line! *gasp* :rotfl2:

The food looks great!! popcorn::
We have never been to a Johnny Rockets before so we will have to try one.
Keep the good times going because we love to dance!!
Thanks for the update!!

Woo hoo! Do you have Johnny Rockets diners in your area? WE have at least one here in the mall but we refuse to go there becuse it has now become a "cruise" thing for us- just like going to Cracker Barrel before the cruise. It is pretty darn tasty though.

The dancing is coming right up and it was fun! :thumbsup2

such a FUN TR!!! loving it!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks so much for reading! I'm so glad you are enjoying it!

Johnny Rockets looks like so much fun-love Savannah's show too!

LOL, she is always a performer!

Good choice with the Oreo sundae, that would've been my choice too!

Last time we were at JR we all shared one- we were so full. We were just as full this time though and each had our own anyway. I for one suffered for it later.

I didn't know they had a chocolate breakfast-that just may make me book a RCCL cruise! (I was thinking of it anyway!!)

Enjoying your TR!

Thanks so much, yes the chocolate breakfast is a little known detail- I didn't realize it was fleetwide until recently, I thought it was just Oasis/Allure! (Not sure how often it is served on the other ships- I think only on the last sea day on most of the fleet)

You are very welcome, I'm glad you are finding it helpful! I read about the Christmas/New Years cruise cancellations- that was awful. So sorry that happened to you but I do think you will thoroughly enjoy Allure!! It's pretty much as close as you can come to DCL without being on DCL (or WDW)!

Keep the reports coming! You have a wonderful writing style and I can't wait to read more!

Thank you again for helping to salvage my families spirits.

You are so welcome! Stay excited- there is so much more to come!:goodvibes

Did you stop keeping track of the points???

Well..yes. It was causing too much dissention around here when there was a difference of opinion. ;) Does Shrek win? Well, yes... Allure does win. But a special place in my heart will always be held for DCL and we are very excited to go on the Fantasy this year! ::MickeyMo

ohhh Johnny Rocks havent had that in FOREVER so good!

It is! We will not go there on land even though last time we were at the mall it smelled sooooo good. It just taunts us that we are not on a cruise all sitting there int he mall like that. Ain't right. :rotfl2:

You guys crack me up.. Ok Savannah lol. looks like a go time was held and not bad price I thought they would jack it up more since its the Allure.

Haha, don't ask me where she gets that from...;) No they haven't jacked the price up. And now that we get the coupon books (RCCL gives it's repeat cruisers (Crown & Anchor Members, similar to Castaway Club on DCL) coupon books for free stuff, buy 1-get 1 stuff, and percentages off of merch, food or services. The By 1 Get 1 milkshakes coupons are among one of the better ones!

And a quick little Did-You-Know? You can get milkshakes (only) to go at Johnny Rockets without having to pay for the cover charge! :thumbsup2 SWEET!

After lunch we did not have long before the girls’ Cupcake Decorating Class at the Cupcake Cupboard. Ours was scheduled for 3:30. They are offered on the Sea days at different times, and there are classes for both children and adults. The Children’s class was $15 and the Adult classes were $22. They last a half an hour, and are a lot of fun. The classes are by reservation only, and can be booked prior to the cruise if you so desire. I do advise booking as soon as possible whether online or onboard- they are quite popular and do fill up. Ours was at capacity.

The Cupcake Cupboard located in the Royal Promenade:

Allure9-24165.jpg

When we arrived at the Cupcake Cupboard the tables were all lined up together and the supplies were already out on the table- including the cupcakes- covered in plastic wrap.

180606_1868504677135_1376616169_2143308_1088869_n.jpg

With 20 children in attendance and an average of 1.5 parents per child (LOL) it was quite packed in the Cupboard. During our class they stayed open for regular business as well, so with traffic in and out and so many photographing parents around, we were pretty much packed in like sardines. Sarah and Savannah were lucky to get two seats next to each other, when the decorator doing the class invited the children to pick a seat it was kind of a melee.

AllureSept20104.jpg

It all worked out though: here they are ready to go:
AllureSept20107.jpg

It was quite noisy due to some dance classes going on right outside in the Promenade (In addition to the Flash Mob, I saw Zumba and also Michael Jackson classes- all were well attended) The class started off with the decorator giving each child a chance to introduce themselves by name and hometown, and say whether or not they have ever decorated a cupcake before.

Sarah didn’t say anything. Savannah- for some reason- said she had NOT ever decorated a cupcake before. I’m not quite sure that is accurate. For sure she has decorated cookies, but maybe not cupcakes. Maybe she’s right and I was not insane enough to allow her free reign with my Pampered Chef decorating kit……

Anyhoo, as the class got underway it was quickly obvious the Savannah may have been a tad too old and Sarah was way too young. The ages ranged from about 5-8 mostly, with a couple younger and Sarah the youngest by far and Savannah was clearly the oldest. I’d have to say this class is perfect for kids aged 5-8 or so. Younger is too young and it was too easy for Savannah at age 10. Now I’m not sure if they allow older kids and teens to do the Adult class. That class actually uses pastry bags and does more intricate designs with fondant and such. But if you have an older child (age 10 and up) do consider this.

We have seen pictures in the past of some of the cupcakes the classes do. The Adult class does a cheeseburger and French fries that is pretty impressive. I have also seen a lion and a monkey. This class –and I could tell by just looking at the preparations on the table- would be doing something different.

Display of examples from the decorating class and the famous cheeseburger cupcake (photo from cruise critic):

On the table each child had a cupcake (vanilla), a glob of buttercream frosting that had a few drops of blue food coloring on it, a cup with some green fondant, a cup with some red fondant, some graham cracker crumbs, and some non-pareils (the little round bead-like sprinkles)

AllureSept20110.jpg

I tried to take a lot of video and pics, but since it was just me with the girls (the boys were on the flowrider or doing something else fun!) and I ended up having to help Sarah quite a bit, I didn’t get as many pictures once they got started. Here again another shot from before they began:

AllureSept20108.jpg

The first instruction was to take the green fondant, split it into parts, roll it and then pinch the rolls. Everyone with the exception of Sarah did well with that instruction. Sarah understood the rolling part, but the pinching not so much. I was trying to just let her do her thing with it, I mean she is 3...I didn’t really expect her to become the Cake Boss from just one class or anything.

AllureSept20111.jpg

The next instruction was a little more involved with the red fondant. They basically created little fishes out of it (round circle, then another circle with two parts cut out for the tail fins. The fondant pieces were then set aside, unless you are Sarah and in her case, they went right on the cupcake before the frosting.

Next, they stirred the icing to make it a nice pretty blue, and spread it on the cupcake. No, Sarah did not remove her fish and “seaweed” pieces first. LOL.

AllureSept20112.jpg

She does mean business!

AllureSept20113.jpg

The next step was to sprinkle the sand (the graham crackers) at the bottom of the ocean. Savannah’s looks like what they were supposed to look like. Sarah’s just looks cute!

AllureSept20114.jpg

AllureSept20115.jpg

Then the seaweed, and finally the fish were placed on top, finally followed with little non-pareil “air bubbles” coming from the fish’s mouth! So cute!!

Here is a short video at the end, showing the girls’ creations. It was a little but chaotic as the class finished up, with people trying to wrap cupcakes, clear the area, and get their aprons (you get a cute little cupcake cupboard apron for participating). I somehow did not get a picture of Sarah’s cupcake at the end (the video there is the best I have of it), and back in the stateroom she snuck it into the bathroom and ate it without us knowing…LOL!

Here is Savannah’s all wrapped up:

AllureSept20210.jpg

So overall they did enjoy the class and would we do it again? Yes. We would do it again-maybe if Sarah was older and Savannah could be in the more challenging Adult class.

With all of this dessert talk, now let’s go work off some of those calories with some Flash Mob dancing!

For those not familiar with this new trend, a Flash Mob is when a group of people come together at a pre-arranged time and place and perform a choreographed dance together. RCCL began doing Flash Mob dances earlier this year on Allure and Oasis, and it has now expanded to Freedom, with other ships soon to come I’m sure. We read about the Flash Mob onboard first on Cruise Critic, and watched the videos on You Tube so we were familiar with the dance going into the cruise. I definitely recommend doing so if you want to do the Flash Mob on your cruise. There are classes held each Sea Day in the afternoon (usually 2:30 or 3:30), and they are held in the Promenade right where the dance will be performed. On the Eastern itinerary they also hold a class in the afternoon after leaving Nassau.

Our first class had about 20 or so people in it- mostly women, a couple of men, and Savannah was the only child. Each class follows the same structured outline: the entire dance is taught song by song so that if you only make one class you still know enough to get out there and DANCE! during the actual performance. Participation does grow throughout the week; our last class easily had double the amount of people in it. The actual dance performance had maybe 50 people participate.

This class the instructor had problems with his ipod that had the music on it, so we lost about 15 minutes of time while he tried to fix it. The music and his instructions are played over loudspeaker so that everyone can hear. I do advise though if you are a visual learner- like me- and need to see, do try to get near the front of the group. I was towards the back and it was quite difficult from back there, because if you can’t see the instructor, then you have to watch others – and they aren’t necessarily doing it right, KWIM? I got a little frustrated at one point because I kept asking Savannah to show me how to do things and she was really getting an attitude about it. So I got more frustrated. Ha! Actually LOL, I really make it sound fun don’t I? Haha! Actually it is fun, but I do get frustrated when I am trying to learn something and can’t see the demonstration.

The view from the rear:

Allure9-19208.jpg

I thought I had more photos and video but it looks like this one short clip taken in the very beginning- before we actually started learning the dance- is all I have: (click to play)

Each class ended with a run-through of the entire dance. So like I said, even if you only make one class, you have probably learned enough to get by in the actual performance. We went to 2 classes and knew the dance quite well, although like I said, we were familiar with what to expect beforehand, thanks to You Tube.

After Flash Mob class, the Penguins of Madagascar were out in the Boardwalk. Ron took them down for pictures while I got showered and ready for the evening.

AllureSept20117.jpg

This character line was probably the worst of the cruise. It was quite long and there were some line cutters- or attempted line cutters, disguised as sweet little old ladies. I wasn’t there so I will let Ron tell that story if he wants. LOL!

AllureSept20120.jpg

AllureSept20123.jpg

And of course afterwards, another ride on the Carousel. Why Not???

AllureSept20125.jpg

Yeah, I’ll take a Coney Island to go. Extra Kraut!

AllureSept20132.jpg

Afterwards they took a stroll around the ship for some random photos. Meanwhile the sun is setting over the ocean:

Going, going…gone:

Up Next: Splash!

The cupcake decorating class looks like a blast! Too bad they don't have an intermediate class for the preteens. Hmmmm...maybe something to suggest to guest relations?

So, RCI isn't immune to the dreaded character meet and greet line-cutters either, eh? What a shame people insist on doing this...and honestly...they are always older folks. Hmmph!

Intrigued by what "Splash" means!

The dancing is coming right up and it was fun! :thumbsup2

We do have a Johnny Rockets at the mall that we choose to not go to very often. We love the Cracker Barrel also we go when we are going on a trip.

My DD said she would love to decorate cupcakes.
We loved the Cheeseburger and French Fries Cupcakes!!:thumbsup2
The Flash Mob would be fun and my DD said she would love to do the Michael Jackson dance class. She loves to dance!!

Uber-enjoying your TR as always Jen! I saw an ad for one of those "Brava" all you can eat meat places when we were in Niagara Falls last weekend and thought of your experience on the ship.

Only 51 days until we are back on the Magic again ... can't wait ....:woohoo:

I have read all of your updates. :thumbsup2 Great report. Is the ship as huge as it looks? I'm debating our first cruise and was sent to read your report by another DISer to compare cruise lines. I think I'd get lost on this ship.

Cupcake classes - how fun!:cool1: With the sound of the dance class in the background, maybe they could do correographed decorating! ;)

Looking forward to that "surprise' I stumbled on earlier!:rolleyes1

I think Sarah did it the right way.. decorate how you want.. then sneak into the bathroom to eat it... thats a girl after my own heart!

Cant wait till you all flash mom.

Oh and wonder what the surprize is that Tammie found.. hmmm

Although none of us were really ready for it yet, dinner time had arrived!

Tonight we had reservations in the Main Dining Room (MDR) for 7:15. We arrived on time to the Adagio MDR- Deck 5 at the My Time Dining (MTD) podium for reservations to no queue at all. There was a long line for the “no reservations” side.

IMG_5159.jpg

The Adagio Dining room is elegantly appointed. It is a full three levels high, with a stunning crystal chandelier and live orchestra:

AllureoftheSeasRestaurant1.jpg

AllureoftheSeasRestaurant2.jpg

We were quickly escorted in to our table on the top level of the room- a 6 top round to ourselves. Our servers this evening were Leslie from Jamaica and assistant Jose from Mexico. They were quite good. Leslie was a bit more personable, but service was really good from both. We let them know we had reservations for the OceanAria show at 9:30, and they promised we would be out in plenty of time to get a good seat. They were absolutely right, I was so impressed by the performance of the serving teams in the MDR coordinating all these varied show times and dinner for 5,300 passengers!

We started off the evening with some bread. It isn’t a RCCL cruise without some of their signature rolls called Savory Bites!

AllureSept20180.jpg

Those little poppy seed bread nuggets are all the rage on Cruise Critic!

Notice how the carpet matches the drap-errrr- the plates….?

AllureSept20182.jpg

The kids had lemonade to drink and Ron and I had iced tea-(free options).

Now I still...STILL...felt terribly full from Johnny Rockets earlier, so I would only be having soup, salad, and dessert this evening (and could barely manage that!)

I started out with the Caprese Salad, fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. Delicious!

AllureSept20184.jpg

Savannah had some fruit she looks like she couldn’t be more excited about!

AllureSept20186.jpg

Ron and my little seafood lover Brendan both had the Scallop Risotto, Sea Scallops with mascarpone Risotto/ Brendan liked the scallop, but didn’t care for the risotto. Ron liked it, to my recollection.

AllureSept20187.jpg

The kids’ entrees were soon out; both girls had spaghetti with meat sauce. This was the “Italian” menu so that fit in nicely. Although you do remain in the same dining room nightly, each evening does have a differently themed menu.

AllureSept20189.jpg

Rona and Brendan both had the Garlic Tiger Shrimp- Large shrimp in a garlic sauce reminiscent of shrimp scampi, with rice and fresh vegetables. They liked it a lot!

AllureSept20190.jpg

I had Strawberry Bisque:

AllureSept20191.jpg

It was good, very light and tangy!

We liked the additions of the flat screens in the dining room that displayed Britto artwork. Here’s one of my favorites:

AllureSept20193.jpg

All smiles…for now…

AllureSept20196.jpg

And soon the rest of us would be all smiles, when THIS was brought to our table:

AllureSept20198.jpg

Warm chocolate Cake with milk chocolate sauce topped with roasted pears and peanut brittle: Sinful!!!

Okay, I also had Tiramisu. ;) It was pretty good also.

AllureSept20199.jpg

And you can never…NEVER get too much ice cream:

AllureSept20204.jpg

I know earlier I had swore I would never eat another bite, but somehow I managed. We were all feeling that way, I think.

Sure enough we were finished with dinner by 8:40, plenty of time to change into more comfortable clothes and head down to the Aquatheater for the 9:30 OceanAria performance. I don't know about you, but I was ready for a splash of excitement!

It was finally time for us to see the signature show onboard Allure of the Seas: OceanAria!

Allure9-19480.jpg

Allure9-19484.jpg

DSC_0577.jpg

OceanAria is the show crafted specifically for the Aquatheater. It is a combination of synchronized swimming, diving, acrobatics, tumbling/gymnastics, dancing, aerial work, strength and flexibility- you name it, it’s in this show.

The biggest recommendation I can give when it comes to the Aquatheater- ESPECIALLY for OceanAria, is that you can’t arrive TOO EARLY. We walked up at 8:50 PM, 40 minutes before the start of the show and could not believe how full it already was. We had read the best seats for the show were in the center section about halfway back. When I saw quite a few open seats in that area I went RIGHT for them immediately. I should have been more curious as to why so many prime seats were open when so much of the rest of the theater was full. I would soon find out why- GOLD seating. When I reached that area there was a sign and a staff member there saying it was for GOLD sea passes only and I thought about how we were GOLD members, and – uh- NO, NOT THE SAME THING!! Actual Gold Sea Passes are for suite guests- we are lowly Gold Crown & Anchor members. LOL. I felt pretty foolish for even thinking something so silly, but we quickly scrambled and hoped to find some decent seating still left!
We managed to get the front row of actual beach chairs on the right side of the theater. In the Aquatheater, the first few rows- the splash zone- is bench seating, then three rows back the actual chairs start and then every other row is alternating bench and beach chair seating. The chairs are much, MUCH more comfortable!!! The seats weren’t bad at all. In fact we had quite a nice view.

AllureSept20214.jpg

Of course, the kids wanted to be in the splash zone!

AllureSept20212.jpg

AllureSept20213.jpg

Still lots of chairs left towards the end of the theater on both sides!

AllureSept20215.jpg

Bar Service was available and I ordered a Pina Colada. Ron wanted a Bush Whacker and the waiter didn’t think they could make it. What? I didn’t think a Bush Whacker was that exotic. They managed to make it, but Ron said it was just OK.

AllureSept20217.jpg

The kids were delighted when their friends from the club showed up. Their family set next to us and we enjoyed chatting about St. Thomas and excursions we had planned for the next day.

AllureSept20218.jpg

As with Ice Games, and any show, no flash photography was permitted so my pictures aren’t that good, sorry! The videos are worth a look though- trust me! (And I grabbed a few stunners off the 'net).

AllureSept20211.jpg

As the show prepared to begin there was a cute skit with the “tourist” lady roaming the theater for the perfect seat. Here she is sitting on the table between Sarah’s chair and the next chair:

AllureSept20220.jpg

That one wasn’t center enough for her so she moved here:

AllureSept20222.jpg

But that seat wasn’t close enough so she set up right on the pool deck:

AllureSept20224.jpg

Yea Lady, I’m talkin to YOU!

AllureSept20225.jpg

You know how this one is going to end right?

*SPLASH!*

You know what was cool? The cast of Ice Games watching from the bench in front of us:

AllureSept20227.jpg

It was fun to watch them react to the amazing skills just like we were reacting to their awesome performance the previous day!

And on with the show!

(continued in Part 3)

So here is the story of OceanAria- not that it really needed much story. This show is really all about the amazing cirque-style acrobatics, diving, swimming, and tricks:

AllureSept20229.jpg

AllureSept20230.jpg

These two were right over my head:

AllureSept20233.jpg

I still cant get over the aerial work. This trapeze artist was so good:

This show was so thoroughly entertaining. It was fascinating. Do NOT miss it!!!! It's just mind blowing when you think about all of these stunts- and 10m high dives- performed on the back of a MOVING cruise ship!!!

The strong men were fascinating:

It really was a lot like a circus almost- no matter which direction you turn amazing stuff was going on!

And the cast, rising out of the depths! (I know I'm not the only one wishing this pool was accessible to passengers! Springboards, diving boards, rising platforms, adjustable depth, fountains! Think of the fun you could have in that one! LOL!)

AllureSept20259.jpg

When we got back to the room we realized Po (Kung Fu Panda) was going to be out doing M&G for 5 more minutes! We rushed down and made it at 10:29. No line, just enough time to run up for a photo and then Po split! Perfect timing!

AllureSept20263.jpg

That’s it for the day, we were wiped out! Try as we might, we just could not stay up past 11:30.

Coming Next: Arr Mateys, A Pirates Life for Me!

Dinner looked great! I'm really thinking I would love to do an Allure cruise some day!

I'm sitting on the edge of my seat, in the Splash Zone, so I have my umbrella in hand, waiting for Part 3! :umbrella:

The cupcake decorating class looks like a blast! Too bad they don't have an intermediate class for the preteens. Hmmmm...maybe something to suggest to guest relations?

Yes, it was one of a few things I wanted to put on my comment card but ran out of room! A children's, teen/pre-teen, and adult options would be optimal, for sure.:thumbsup2

So, RCI isn't immune to the dreaded character meet and greet line-cutters either, eh? What a shame people insist on doing this...and honestly...they are always older folks. Hmmph!

LOL, According to Ron they looked like the sweetest little old ladies, but they were playing stupid and acting like they didn't know it was a "line" but nobody was letting them squeeze in. Heh. The good thing is though, this was the only real long line of the week- it is way better than looooong the lines on DCL for sure!

Intrigued by what "Splash" means!
;) Now you know!

We do have a Johnny Rockets at the mall that we choose to not go to very often. We love the Cracker Barrel also we go when we are going on a trip.

:goodvibes It is now a tradition for us!

My DD said she would love to decorate cupcakes.
We loved the Cheeseburger and French Fries Cupcakes!!:thumbsup2

Me too! I wanted to take the class myself to get to make that one but they don't guarantee which design you will get to make so I decided not to. The Lion- which is the other one they do in the adult classes- I am pretty sure I can already do!

The Flash Mob would be fun and my DD said she would love to do the Michael Jackson dance class. She loves to dance!!

It is!!! We were surprised by how many participants and how much attention the classes had onboard. A huge crowd would settle in at Sorrentos and Promenade Cafe to watch! Fun!!!

Uber-enjoying your TR as always Jen! I saw an ad for one of those "Brava" all you can eat meat places when we were in Niagara Falls last weekend and thought of your experience on the ship.

Oh....yummmmm! Sounds terrific!!!!!

Only 51 days until we are back on the Magic again ... can't wait ....:woohoo:

Excited for you, it's going to be terrific!!! I'm finally up to the first port now! And the best thing is- our first excursion is one you can do through DCL too! (Believe it or not , it's $10 CHEAPER through DCL than RCCL!):thumbsup2

The cupcake class looks really fun. I bet my DD would enjoy that too.

Oh yes. it was a good time for sure!!! :)

I have read all of your updates. :thumbsup2 Great report. Is the ship as huge as it looks? I'm debating our first cruise and was sent to read your report by another DISer to compare cruise lines. I think I'd get lost on this ship.

It is pretty darn big!!! Getting around it isn't so bad, once you are used to the layout which is actually pretty similar to the other RCCL ships. The worst part for sure is going forward to aft. Sometimes I was forward and wanted something aft and was like "uuughhhhh"- it's quite a long walk... but most of the time getting around wasn't so bad. ;) We never had any issues getting elevators or anything like that, and with all the signage and touchscreens we didn't get lost! Although we had done so much research beforehand we knew where everything was! LOL!

Cupcake classes - how fun!:cool1: With the sound of the dance class in the background, maybe they could do correographed decorating! ;)

Haha! :lmao:Yeah it was really hard to hear the girl doing the class, and she had a thick accent too so I had to repeat her instructions for the girls sometimes.

Looking forward to that "surprise' I stumbled on earlier!:rolleyes1

If it's what I think it is, you have to wait until the very end! ;)

I think Sarah did it the right way.. decorate how you want.. then sneak into the bathroom to eat it... thats a girl after my own heart!

Yeah that was so funny, we were just chilling int he room and it was queit and Ron says "Where's Sarah?" and we looked at eachother, looked at the closed bathroom door and both groaned. She managed to get that blue icing- everywhere! It was on the wall, towels, shower.... and of course, on her! :rotfl2:

Cant wait till you all flash mom.
woo hoo! You'll be waiting a little bit for that one. It will be worth it, you know!

Oh and wonder what the surprize is that Tammie found.. hmmm

^^IDK......:rolleyes1........;)

Dinner looked great! I'm really thinking I would love to do an Allure cruise some day!

I think you should! I know I've told you the bees don't go up that high so you'll be safe! LOL;) There were some flies in Central Park though. I was thinking hmmm....did they bring those in too? You don't normally see flies out at sea! :scratchin (It wasn't a lot of them, only a couple, just enough to make me wonder how they got there!)

I'm sitting on the edge of my seat, in the Splash Zone, so I have my umbrella in hand, waiting for Part 3! :umbrella:

Love it! :thumbsup2

Jen, so sorry, I have been something of a stranger to this report - I lost track of it while we were away in October and (I'm ashamed to admit) haven't managed to catch up since.

Anyhoo, I went back to the beginning and started again and now I am all caught up. All I can say is 'Wow!' Either you are a really good trippie writer (which we know you are) or this ship is just amazing! Every time I finished reading a segment, I would turn to DH and say 'I wanna go on this ship!!!' Of course he already knows that since I have been going on and on about it for ever. I found a cracking itinerary, sailing through the Panama Canal which just happens to coincide with my 40th Birthday so, of course, I am hoping against all hope that he will go ahead and book it. He has pretty much said that, if he can get another permanent job by the middle of the year (he is due to be made redundant between June and December) then we can go :cool1:

It is the Vision of the Seas, rather than the Oasis or Allure, and I am assuming there are many differences. I would still love to sail the Oasis or Allure but I think DH would prefer a different itinerary.

Anyway, keep up the good work - I'm back on board now (pardon the pun) and anxiously waiting for more. Looking forward to seeing what you did at St Thomas since we only did Paradise Point there in October on our DCL cruise.

WOW that show looks amazing!! Does that only perform once for the week? Are the dining times on RCCL different than how DCL works?
