Our trip actually began on the day before we left for Disney, Saturday 1/7. Which then leads to the conundrum of what to actually call this day. I had originally thought "Day 0", but Wingnut dismissed that as too post-apocalyptic. There's the predictable "The Day Before We Left"...

Why don't we just leave this for now?

Anyways. Wingnut and I went to his parents house on...this day...because they only live around 10 minutes from the airport we were going to be flying out of the next morning, and they had kindly offered to take us there and pick us up when we returned.

We packed up Wingnut's car, and were on our way...

...to the diner 10 minutes from our home!

(Hey, I'm a Jersey girl through and through. All adventures either begin or end at a diner.)



(Veggie omelet with pancakes. Mine. Wingnut wasn't quite ready to start the food photo taking yet. ("We haven't even left our town!!"))

We then were back on the road, on our way...

...to the CVS across the street.



I'm lactose-intolerant, and if (read: because) I wanted to eat cheesecake and ice cream on this trip, well, this was a necessity.

And THEN we were really on our way!



Wingnut looks serious because he is driving. And because he had no idea I was taking his picture.



Nope, no palm trees yet!

We had a fun night with Wingnut's family, playing Pictionary and hanging out, and generally just being excited for Disney the next day!

Aw, I'm the worst at Pictionary. We've moved on to Bezzerwhizzer, which I am infinitely better at since it involves trivia and not art! There's also really no rules/loopholes for me to exploit in Pictionary to make up for my horrible art skills, and that's like half the fun of playing games with people (we're a very competitive and sneaky group apparently! )
