Breakfast with Minnie on a Magic Morning Day

I have a friend who is going to the park for 2 days and will not have Magic Mornings. It is a quiet time of year on a Thursday. The park will most likely open at 10:00 and have MM at 9:00.

What time should I suggest that they make reservations for Breakfast with Minnie & Friends? I was thinking 8:00. But if they are done eating at 9:00 will they be allowed to do the Fantasyland rides, etc. as if they have MM even though they don't technically have MM?

What time does breakfast usually run when the park opens at 10? Is it different on a MM day?

Thanks!

The first breakfast will be at 9:10 when MM starts at 9am. When you are done you can go right into the parks even if it's still MM time.

Oh, that's so late! Bummer!

What about on a non-MM day? If they went to Minnie's the next day (Friday)? Any idea?

It would be 8:40.

The first reservation is always 50 minutes before regular hours parks opening on MM days, 20 minutes before on regular days.

Friday the park opens at 9am.

If an early breakfast in the park doesn't work, try a late breakfast and use the early hours in the park for riding rides.

That's what I'm doing later this month. I had hoped to be able to breakfast before rope drop but with that day's earliest seating at 8:40 for a 9:00 open, I just took 10:30 instead, so I can ride several things & pick up a couple of fastpasses before brunch.

When I called to make reservations to Minnie and Friends they told me that the characters will leave promptly at 11 am (when the character meal is scheduled to end) so do not make your reservations too late or you won't get to spend any time with the characters.

Others have reported this isn't actually true. Characters stick around as long as there are guests.

We thought it would be good to get the last reservation of the morning so it would be less crowded and we could do more in the parks. We were given 10:50 reservations. A few characters were walking around, they started picking up the food at 11:00, and they had all the characters stand together for a group photo. Each family was able to go stand with them, but no one on one interaction or autographs. I would definitely book earlier next time. It was not pleasant. We were incredibly rushed.

I'd have spoken to a manager. They allow you 90 minutes for character meals. No way am I paying for a meal that they'll only allow me 10 minutes to enjoy. We usually do Goofys last seating and have never had a problem with getting pushed out.

We did. She was sympathetic. Our DD really wanted to meet Captain Hook (we only saw him for the group photo), so the manager brought him back out to our table and he hung out with DD and they "played" for about 5 minutes she also brought us out the food we wanted so it wasn't really buffet style, but since DD met who she wanted we were all happy.

Just a note: when I made my 10:30 breakfast reservation, I was told that I could enjoy the food and characters until 11:20. Homemom's experience doesn't make me happy!

I am still contemplating changing my reservation time to allow more time to enjoy the experience. It's just hard to balance that with being able to do a few things at rope drop first.

We had the exact same experience. The characters stood together as a group (and it was fun to be able to get that photo), but they were clearing out the food just minutes after we sat down. It was frustrating and disappointing given how much you pay for a character meal. I'll definitely book an earlier slot next time.

I just booked our character meals, wanting to book the latest available schedule and the CM told me that the characters will leave at exactly 11am and so when you book the latest meal, you would have less time with them.

Yes, you can stay 90 mins, but the characters are only there at a certain time, and not 90 mins from the last booking.

I was so glad the CM told me this and so I moved our time earlier.
