HELP!!!!!! More Disney Dreams to fulfill! 09/04 Exciting news!

Your tree was so lovely. We haven't had a real tree for several years. It was getting too expensive for a real tree.

The candles are so cool, I use imitation candles on my tree.

We have always had real trees. I love them, because they really smell nice in your house. And we have always had real candles, it just adds to the atmosphere.

To Karin and Tom

Thank you, Rosie and a Very Happy New Year, to you too!

Beautiful tree. I love the candles on it. What a wonderful tradition. Our tree was in horrid shape when we got back. I took it down a week early just because it was SO dried out. If we had candles on it.. it would have gone up like a flash!

Thank you, Ann - we always had a tree like this (minus the Disney ornaments - they are an addition Tom and I have started ;))
Our trees are only put up on Dec 24 (ours went up on Dec 22 - because I love to look at it with the presents under the tree! :rotfl2:) so they are fresh when we light the candles. We usually leave them until Jan 6 (which is a holiday), but I would not dare lighting the candles again. ;)
And I can imagine that with you gone your tree might have dried up a bit, but I bet you were able to see a lot of beautiful trees at WDW. :goodvibes

Thank you, Tammie, I hope that the New Year brings you only good memories!

Oh don't you worry, plans are afoot to rectify missing the pirate buffet ;) :teeth:

Happy New Year to you and Tom, I hope 2012 brings you everything you wish for

Love your Christmas tree, lovely and healthy looking and the decorations are v cute :)

I am glad you like our tree. :thumbsup2
And wishing you and Dave a wonderful and Happy New Year, too!

Glad to hear that you are thinking about correcting the "missing pirate buffet" experience. Can't wait to hear all about it. :goodvibes

Happy New Year!

I love the photos of Pixie in the tree. She is so cute!

It looks like I may be going to WDW January 20-22....a bit too early to catch you guys in February, but that's when my DBF can get off work.

Happy New Year, Abby!

Pixie loves the tree - it will be very irritating for her when we have to take it down. :rotfl2:

You are going to WDW a month to early for us ..... but ONE day our trips will overlap and I cannot wait for that to happen! :goodvibes

Planning our February trip!!!!!

Day 5, Wednesday, February 22

Day at sea

We will most likely not get up too early and order a Continental Room Service Breakfast, as we will need something light with all the food we have planned all day.

IMG_6993.JPG

After that we will deliver the last one of our fish extender gifts.

If we feel up to it we will join one of the ship's tours

IMG_7158-1.jpg

and then head to the Captain's Reception for a meet and greet with the ships officers and some cocktails.

Around midday we will head to Palo for brunch and enjoy some of the fine food they offer.

I guess it will be early afternoon before we leave. It will then be time to take a little break and we will most likely relax on our veranda with a nice drink in hand.
I am planning on going to another "Anyone can cook" demonstration, hopefully this time we will learn how to make Lobster Ravioli.

DSC_0884.jpg

And yes, you get to try them. Maybe we can catch one of the movies or maybe we can take a dip in the adult pool.
I guess sometime during the afternoon we will need to pack everything up as we will have to put our luggage outside our stateroom door that evening. Then we will change for dinner and head to our assigned restaurant of the day.

IMG_6751.jpg

IMG_6755.jpg

After dinner we will put our dinner clothes back into our suitcases and put them outside. We might take a night stroll up to the top deck to enjoy the night air.

Then it will be time for one last sleep on board the Disney Dream.

Karin, are you still trying to decide about whether or not to do Remy?

My friend Brenda did an amazing review of the place, so I thought I would share it with you. It might help you make a decision if you're still undecided!

http://oybolshoi-gastropodtravels.blogspot.com/2012/01/remy-disney-cruise-line-disney-dream.html

Oh Abby, how could you do that to me?????? :rotfl2:

Yes we are still trying to decide if we want to go to Remy or not, but it seems they have changed their menu a bit! :woohoo: The menu Brenda and Jay had is really up my street. :thumbsup2
You might have just pushed me over the edge. I need to talk to Tom about it and then change my planning haven't I? I still hold that reservation and it looks very likely I won't let it go ............

Now I wonder how they feel if I bring my own wine? :rotfl2: I love a good glass of Silverado and on a Disney ship it would be extra special, but as far as I know they don't offer it.

Thanks so much for giving me something else to think about, Abby!

Oh...sure...all that great looking food and still NO plans for the rest of the week. :rolleyes1 Just kidding. Sort of. :lmao:

Well after Brenda's review, i would definitely keep that reservation for Remy! :thumbsup2

Just the cheese cart seems worth it to me!!!!:rotfl2:

Happy New Year! I loved the cooking class but can't do the ravoli one because I am allergic. Hopefully the next time they will offer different classes?
I posted some food porn on my trip report of WPE. I know you love that place:rotfl: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2824151&page=4

Christine

Happy New Year!
They do an awesome apple strudel cooking class. It was fun, as this is a Viennese speciality and the pastry chef did an excellent job! :thumbsup2

I can't get over how good that food looks. It must be lunch time for me.

That's what you do most on cruises ...... eat out of this world good food! :rotfl2:
Hope your lunch was equally as good! :goodvibes

Oh...sure...all that great looking food and still NO plans for the rest of the week. :rolleyes1 Just kidding. Sort of. :lmao:

Well, little lady - this is the plan for day 5 ...... where's YOUR planning? :rotfl2: :lmao:
I had a few other things that kept me occupied, but I will update lateron and I have a few surprises!!!!!! :woohoo:

Well after Brenda's review, i would definitely keep that reservation for Remy! :thumbsup2

Just the cheese cart seems worth it to me!!!!:rotfl2:

You (and Bendy's review) did convince BOTH of us.

I AM KEEPING MY RESSIE AND I NEED TO EDIT ONE DAY OF MY CRUISE ITINERARY - I'LL POST THE LINK HERE LATERON!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Abby! We are both very excited about it! :cloud9:

Yep, we did the apple struedel class and I made my own when we got home:)
My Grandmother used to make them all the time when I was little. But since I am allergic I couldn't do the lobster ravoli class.

Here's some NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom and I have been discussing if we can wing some "extra" vacations with going to WDW twice this year and we have decided that

WE CAN!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

So here are our other trips. Tom takes one week off (actually only 4 days as one day is a holiday here!) and we are doing two trips that week.

April 28 - May 1:
We are going to

IMG_8441.jpg

staying at

IMG_8529.jpg

Citea again. I got a pretty good deal on a 2 bedroom villa for 6 people (I always go for these, even though they offer one for 4 people, but the 6 people one has two upstairs bedrooms, while the 4 people one only has one upstairs and a sleeper sofa downstairs).
We will get APs again and this might indicate another trip over Halloween! ;) :woohoo:

May 4 - 6:

I will then go back to work for Wednesday and Thursday and since Friday is a holiday for schools here we will leave in the very early morning for

italia3.jpg

Italy. We are going back to Lignano and staying at

italia.jpg

the Aparthotel Esperya again! We'll return on Sunday evening and will have been able to squeeze TWO vacations into only one week! :thumbsup2

Stay tuned ....... even MORE news to come!!!!!!!!

Okay people I am STILL not done YET!!!

Well, today Tom came home and told me that he brought home ANOTHER surprise for me!

I could not think of anyone who would send us another package, and could not believe WHO it was from.

RON, our favourite server from the California Grill had sent us a present!!!!

IMG_3243.jpg

Needless to say I had to open it up right away!

IMG_3245.jpg

This envelope was inside - it had a very nice card from Ron stuck to it!

IMG_3244.jpg

The gift inside was giftwrapped ........ Disney style! :lmao:

IMG_3246.jpg

and giftwrapped some more! :rotfl2:

And this is what we found inside

first off ....... lots of my favourite, Mickey and Castle confetti!
Ron knows that I love it - I always pick up whatever is sprinkled on the table and take it home!

And this was inside ......

IMG_3248.jpg

A matted map of the MK and its resorts, with 5 pins on it!

IMG_3249.jpg

a MK pin

IMG_3250.jpg

one for my favourite resort, the Contemporary. We are staying there this summer, club level ....... I cannot wait! :cloud9:

IMG_3251.jpg

a Fort Wilderness pin

IMG_3252.jpg

a Poly pin

IMG_3253.jpg

and this beautiful 40th anniversary pin!

We were floored by his generosity towards us! :goodvibes

But that was not enough ....

IMG_3254.jpg

He also sent this wonderful ornament! Needless to say I will take good care of all these keepsakes!

THANK YOU SO MUCH, RON, IT TRULY WAS A MAGICAL SURPRISE!!!

Okay, please stick with me for a little longer as I still have some more news, but this time they are trip related!

Oh, Karin, what a wonderful couple of days of surprises!!! I am so happy for you and Tom and no one deserves it more...you are one of the sweetest, kindest DISers I've ever had the honor to "meet". We still have the Disneyland Paris magnet on the fridge and have candles in the lovely candle holders close to our Creche...and Sophia puts the ornaments on the tree and I tell her about our friends who sent them to us from Austria - which I show her on the globe (being only 3 it's still a bit baffling;)) and I show her photos on line of you and Tom. :goodvibes

I am still hoping that one of these years, sooner rather than later, we will meet and share some Disney fun in person.:thumbsup2 (I want to dine at California Grill with you two;))
