No wbta 2013

Just found out that the thread had already been started for this "possible" cruise. COUNT US IN!!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

Cruising Disney. 'nuf said.

Okay - I just got off the phone with DCL. I didn't mention this thing called the DISboards - she did. :) She said they do read it - and are amused, but also amazed at how much we get right before we "officially" are told. Very nice chat with a CM - and you know that is not always the case.

Expect several weeks before the 2013 Magic & Wonder dates and itineraries are released. They are still training/educating the CMs, as it is a bit complicated - I think Mary's hit it on the head with the varying cruise schedules.

As far as Venice, I am piecing together information I gather from here and there.

And expect great new destinations in the future with Disney - far away places - maybe not in 2013, but they are coming. Keep filling up those piggy banks!

Wish I've been cruisin as well - only 1 since 2010 EBTA. I have one this year that will be my "GOLDen" cruise. Wish I could take more cruises, but going solo is costly.

From what you post, it sounds pretty sure this cruise will happen. It also sounds like what is going on between the EBTA and WBTA is what is holding everything up.

Hey Peggy, how are you, I hope your holidays were great:santa:. Isn't this fun, even though we know nothing. It is bringing us all back together again, love that.:cloud9:

When are you two going to WDW. I am going Feb. 7th for 3 days. Did you meet Josh who was at our dinner table? He's just a hoot and a young whipper snapper, anyway he is going to be a Conservation Education Presenter at Animal Kingdom starting next week. I want to give him lots of support from our group.:love:

It's good to see you here, hugs :grouphug: to you both.

Evelyn

Yes Crystal you must! :) We don't bite, but we (or should I say I) can get a bit confused when early mornings & bad hangovers are involved! That was so funny on the Dolphin boat.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

The last stop in Villefranche is sept 2. I think the Magic go in drydock then for about 6 weeks and then go on the WBTA? And the drydock is in Venice told Lynne. So it may be possible to leave from Venice for the WBTA?

That would kill two birds with one stone ... Venice and WBTA in one wonderful cruise :lovestruc:lovestruc

We would LOVE it if it started in Venice...:love:

OMG People...pace yourselves!!! :goodvibes Page 12 already???? :confused3 Now, I have to go back to page 6 and catch up....

Ok... burning question time.

For all you folks that got guaranteed cabins last time, were you happy with the cabin you got?

We were an inside on Deck 6 last time, and loved it! However I remember that a guaranteed Oceanview was actually running for a little bit less than what we paid for the inside. Our TA couldn't get it changed for some reason, so before we sign on again, I'm just checking our options. A little extra space is always a plus when you've got 4 in a cabin!

So, your thoughts on the guaranteed cabins?

We booked a VGT (the restricted rate) and were given one on Deck 8 aft...very pleased with the location. We had the "split" verandah wall (half solid, half clear) and were perfectly satisfied. Larry loved being able to just run up one deck for coffee and pastries in the morning. My mother had an OGT (single porthole) on deck 2; you could have shot an arrow straight down from our cabin to hers. No complaints from her either.

WOW can't believe how many of us are planning to go. Goal for the next few years, I will not try to be so shy and attended more dis activities. Love to see all the familar faces.
Good! My mother was your Secret Mickey and (I found out afterward) you were ours, so I wanted to say thanks. We tend to be a bit shy, too, but somehow the interaction online makes it much easier to talk to people onboard :goodvibes.

I just keep a box in the spare bedroom and as I collect things I need for the cruise (eg: toiletries, fish extender gifts etc) I pop them in there until it's time to pack.

......we are all obsessed!

One of my first thoughts was what to give for FE's....the gifts rec'd last year were so fantastic, I have to up my game!

Yes, we are all obsessed (in a nice way :lovestruc). Why else would we all be signing up for the "Maybe" cruise? :confused3

Hi Melodie .... great to see you on board so to speak .... what about Dave and Amy? I think Kimberly is interested too :cool1:

I spoke briefly to Dave and he didn't say much. they do have a cruise booked for the Fantasy in September (booked on board the Alaskan cruise) and I know they won't be making that so maybe I can get them to transfer the booking to this (when it's released) and they can then see how it goes.

I know Kimberly is definitely interested since she's been mentioning it on facebook.

Thanks.. Also thank you for the wonderful gifts as well. I know this cruise will be alot easier than the first year. My DH is supper excited and also wants to partake with all the fun..

Count us in Mike and Lexi. So excited. Husband is from Croatia and used to work on RCI and said it would be very tight to make it from Venice in 2 days. Ship will most likely go empty to the embarkation port.

Woooo hoooo Karen as well ... DIS UK will take over the ship! :thumbsup2

Okay, since my Canadian citizenship makes me a de facto subject of the realm, do I get to join the UK club? (I hope I used that right. I just love the sound of that, "de facto.")

You guys were awesome Secret Mickey's, too! You had our "likes" pegged perfectly. I felt sorry for our recipients - ours seemed a bit lame by comparison.

Guess I'd better get started crocheting those toilet paper covers again.

Totally off topic (I say this because we never, ever, go off topic here ;) ). I should know better than to audition for a play when I haven't read the script. I got cast, then came home and read it. By the time I got to the end I was thinking, "Wow, this is really stupid, even for a farce." I mean, farce is supposed to be funny and implausible, but not stupid. Oh well. The show I really want to do goes up after this one, and it's been a while since I've been onstage, so I guess I'll just think of this as getting my acting chops back in shape. Besides, people here are so culture-deprived they'll love it, regardless. Not to mention the fact that I'll get a bit of turn-about on Dennis. All those nights I was the "theatre widow" while he was off playing stage manager - now it's his turn. :thumbsup2 (Uh oh, I just realized - our poor dogs are going to starve.)

I'm interested in the WBTA. I'm disneydee27 and DW Christy.

Sign us up!

Liz, Bobby (DH), and Autumn (age 6 now, but will turn 8 during the 2013 WBTA cruise)

Since you may have gotten lost in the chatter, I'll say :welcome: aboard! (Well, theoretically "aboard" since the cruise is still only theoretical.) It's a bit intimidating when everyone seems to know everyone else, but just jump in on the discussion. We don't bite. Okay, not much.

Count us in too!

It would be me (Kim) DH ( Bill) and DS ( Royce)

Whoo Hoo!!

Welcome back!!

Welcome back!! How cold is it in your part of GA? We're freezing here in the middle.

1. You're very welcome...it was fun!

2. You go girl!

3. Turn-about is fair play, as they say. I'm sure D is more than capable of feeding the babies :goodvibes. Congrats on the play...it sounds like a lot of fun, even if it is "stupid" ;). I would never have the nerve.

I'm glad to hear Trent is excited too, Lee is SO looking forward to it. :cool1: Although he just keep trying to make sure i'm not getting too excited by keep reminding me that it hasn't been annouced yet....he has failed miserably though as I am hyper! :dance3:

This is dejavu.. I can't keep up with the threads - so many posts since last I visited.

Lovely to see some familiar faces here..:)

Hello to all the new (to me;)) who are joining us for this upcoming WBTA

My first and only previous Disney Cruise was way back in 2005, and due to my daughters education and Uni commiments I havent taken one since so Im extremly unfamiliar with how it all works, so can I just ask, what type of Stateroom are most of you trying for?? has anyone been in an inside cabin for this length of cruise and how was it? and finally for now, do you get to select what dinner seating your on early/late or is it automatic.

Thank you so much for any help and info:goodvibes:goodvibes

Just found this thread, didnt think there would be one running yet, hoping this becomes a real cruise.:goodvibes Anyway we are hoping to join in this cruise we did the 2010 WB and really enjoyed it. :thumbsup2 We are DW Trish (hotfudgesundae) and myself Michael (epcot1stfave). We are more of a reader than posters but we like to try and keep up with the news. Allready recognising a few names from the 2010 although we didnt get to meet many of you. Hoping to do better this time.:)

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I was just having a look at the Villefranche dates for next year. DCL is really mixing it up. Last year was alternating 10 and 11 night med cruises from Barcelona to Valletta, Palermo, Naples, Civitavecchia, Ajaccio and Villefranche and then they changed in August to 7 night itineraries.

This really doesn't tie in with the dates posted on the port schedule, so it's definitely not going to be like last year. It looks like there may be shorter cruises and the big 12 day gaps may mean that they can go a bit farther afield???? Nip round to the eastern side of Italy instead of Civitavecchia and Naples ..... we can but live in hope.

Was having another look at Villafranche port and yes, you are right the gaps are all different durations ie 3,7,2,4,12,7,5,4,12,14,5,7,4,3,7 so maybe on the longer gaps they are indeed doing a Western Med and....

Possibly dropping into Venice to collect items for the refit. Ships have been known to so some refitting whilst cruising so they would need less time in dry dock later. As for the 2,3,4 day gaps they could be visiting Villefranche twice in one cruise POSSIBLY....WHO KNOWS...COME ON DISNEY!!!! PUT US ALL OUT OF OUR MISERY WE ARE LOSING HAIR IN HANDFULS...!!
