New Beauty & Beast Castle TS open late June 2012 !

Has anyone heard what type of restaurant this will be and what will be on the menu. I have heard counter service during the day and full service at night but we will be there in December 2012 and my oldest daughter (23) has always loved beauty and the beast. Also do you think it will be on the dining plan.

At this point, I haven't found out much info at all and I've been looking.

I'm guessing it will probably be on the dining plan but I don't use that so it doesn't matter to me.

I'm looking forward to there being another restaurant in MK. They need it!

IF there are no "live" characters at the TS I'm having trouble understanding the "draw" of eating there (for TS) and spending the $$. To me you can still get the experience of eating there via the CS at lunchtime and spend a lot less $$$.

If Belle, the Beast and some other characters are there I can see it being a big draw.

I would guess that the animatronic characters would only be available at the TS dinner, and not at the CS lunch. In addition to Lumiere, the article gave the impression that there would be "portraits" of other characters like the tea cups on the walls, and I wonder if those might be interactive as well - if they have no live characters.

Very excited about this! We're planning a trip for late September/early October and I was hoping this would be open by then. I'm eager to hear when we can make ADR's.

It will be interesting to see the initial reviews on this place as well as whether it will be 2TS or 1TS (and if 2TS, will it be closer to CRT or closer to a true signature as far a food quality?).

I'm hoping for better food than at CRT, especially if the rumors about Cali Grill and the Poly being closed for the better part of 2013 are true (we have a trip planned for April 2013, and if both those rumors are true, the good dining options near MK will otherwise be limited to the GF restaurants and Artist Point).

Not sure why the Op needs to respond, they were just looking for general information. I don't doubt that a CM at WDW-DINE might tell someone that, but I remember that CMs at WDW-DINE are not often an accurate source of information. We really aren't going to know the restaurant's true opening date until Disney officially announces it.

The OP did not say she made reservations. She stated she was told that reservations may open and that she was hoping they would be open on June 30 because she had no reservations for that day.

Reread and maybe that will clarify things.

I made our 180 day ADR's today.

The CM said since we arrive in late June into 4th of July weekend, she said to look out for annoucements about the 500 seat Beauty and Beast restaurant.

The CM said they heard a late June 2012 opening.

I hope we can eat there on June 30th. We have not picked a place to eat dinner that night.
From another website, it says:
"Turns out the restaurant, which will be located in the Beast’s Castle will serve as a 552 seat quick service, casual lunch spot, until dinner time when cast members will transform the restaurant into an elegant, full-service restaurant"

Anyone else hear about the opening date of the 500 seat Beauty and Beast restaurant ?

I think if you reread the red bold part, you'll get the answer you're looking for. It looks like they made other ADRs, but still had one open and the hope is to fill it with the new restaurant.
