Has anyone stayed here lately? I've done a search but can't find any recent reports. They offer a shuttle from MCO as well as from the hotel to port. I understand that it's pretty close to Ron Jon's. Thanks for any info you can give me.:)

We've stayed at the Country Inn & Suites the last couple of times the night prior to our DCL cruise. We have not been disappointed either time. It's a newer hotel VERY close to the ship terminal.

If you have small / smaller children, you might request one of their "family suites" - they gave us one as a complimentary upgrade last time. It has a miniature separate room (within the larger room) with bunk beds and a little TV for the children. Plus their breakfast buffet has hot food (eggs, bacon/sausage, hot cereal), so you can make it to the Noon Buffet on-board the ship!

How much is the shuttle service from MCO and to the port? We can rent a car for $47 for the day. Thanks in advance.

Is the OP asking about Contry Inn and Suites or Comfort Inn ?

Hi Nancy K, we cruised on the wonder 3 weeks ago and we stayed at the comfort inn the day before our cruise. I thought it was fine. The comfort inn provided us with transportation from the airport to the hotel and then to the port the next day. Ron Jon's is literally next door to the hotel and the beach is a short 5 minute walk. The package also included transport from the ship to the airport when the cruise was over. We were happy with what we got.

I just booked a night at the comfort suites. Does the shuttle and parking come with the reservation or do you have to book it seperately?

Thanks - this is what I was hoping to hear. :)

There is a package that includes one night's stay at the Comfort Inn Cocoa Beach, shuttles to/from MCO as well as shuttle to the port from the hotel. The rate was for two people and was around $180 I think. The shuttle is only for two guests - each additional guest is about $60 for the return airport shuttle. If you have more than two people, the car rental would be a cheaper option for you.

You have to specifically book the cruise package. You may want to call the hotel directly to clarify what's included. :)

Anyone have any 2011 comments to add about Comfort Inn Cocoa Beach? We have a reservation for April 2012.

We are staying there in a couple of weeks. I'll try to remember to post an update. There were very customer service oriented when I booked with them.

We stay here in November and we payed less than $100. For what we paid it was fine but when we go again we will pick a better hotel. The location was great, the shuttle service was fine but the hotel was just..ok. The room kind of smelled bad and we found little sand bugs on the furniture. We left our car here as well and that worked out great for us. There is not a fenced in lot though and that worried us but our car was still there when we got back..lol.

We booked the park and cruise package here for January. How did the parking work? I think I've read that the lot is a block or so away? Did you just drive there in the AM and the shuttle picks you up from there? Thanks for any info you can give!

The lot is behind the hotel. When you check in they give you a time to be at the lobby to meet the shuttle. Our time was 10:30am and we got there at 10:00 and a shuttle was already out there. They said they had room for us on that one and so we left early. When you get up in the morning you just pull your car to the back lot at hang a sticker thing from your windows and then walk back up to the lobby to wait for the shuttle. When the shuttle brings you back from your cruise it drops you off at the back lot.

Stayed there about 4 years ago and liked it was close to the beach and Ron Jon's. It was not in that great of shape so I did not book it again. Also forgot to ask for a ns room, which might have been a factor in the room condition.

Now I stay at wdw and drive down in the morning.

Would you please update about your stay at the Comfort Inn, Cocoa Beach.

Thanks

We stayed there on January 7th. It is a block from the beach and two doors down from Ron Jon's. We had a room on the back on floor 5 with a great view of the ocean. Although most of the rooms wouldn't have that sort of view.

The parking is either on a lot a block to the side or behind the hotel. We were given a tag to hang so they would know our vehicle was supposed to be there. For the shuttle, they gave us a certificate. The front copy was for the ride to the port. The second copy was for the ride back after the cruise. They used Beach Line Transportation for the shuttle service. The shuttle was really great.

First of all this is the only Comfort Inn and Suites that I have ever been to that has outside entrances to the rooms. The staff and amenities were great. Breakfast was standard Comfort Inn and Suites - no complaints. The rooms were a bit dated, but very clean. All in all it reminded me of a typical beach hotel. It was a suite with a king bed and a sleep sofa (we requested king). Two rooms - each with a TV. Wireless internet. Refrigerator.

No real complaints, but certainly not fancy. We would stay there again.

We just stayed here for one night before our 1/15 cruise. We paid 139.99 for the park and cruise option. We arrived sometime after 8, not sure exactly what time, there was a football game on so the person at the desk was a little distracted. It is an older hotel, and it shows, but it suited our needs just fine. The room was clean, we were in 815, I think he called the section their courtyard suites (our balcony overlooked the volleyball court). Breakfast was your basic hotel breakfast: waffles, eggs, pastries, etc. When we checked in we were told to be in the lobby for our shuttle at 1030. There were many families there on the freedom of the seas, their shuttle left around 1015. We were on the shuttle with several groups for the carnival sensation. We dropped them off first then arrived at the Disney terminal around 1045. We parked our car right on the side of the hotel (close to the lounge area) facing the street. It was fine when we returned. We were walking distance to Ron Jons, I walked over after breakfast to get a pair of sunglasses. We were also given complimentary drink tickets when we arrived. We didn't use them but it was a nice gesture. Overall I would stay there again for one night but probably not for much longer than that.
