Yes - you can survive on 4 1/2 hrs of sleep. I have survived on a lot less. If I had to get up at 2:30 I would have to stay awake all night.

We're Back!​

Hi everyone! Well, we're back, it seems like I just left, and yet, it seems like I was in Disney for weeks! We had a pretty good trip...I'm not going to say it was a great trip, because it wasn't. Nothing bad happened, exactly, but I did end up getting sick, and am still sick. It seems like each day that went by I felt worse, so instead of getting up early and staying out late like we always do, I just couldn't keep up that pace on this trip, which really frustrated me.

And Brandon is totally Disney'ed out. He said he wasn't excited for this trip at all like he normally is, and that he really needs a break. So I told him that maybe we could push our anniversary trip back a few months (we're supposed to be going in May) and go somewhere else that he wants to go in May, and we can go to Disney in September again. I said we have to go at some point next year, because I bought those AP's and they're not going to waste!

There were definite good points of the trip, I had a lot of fun, but being sick totally wore me down much faster than I'm used to. I'm always going, going, going in Disney and this time, I just had to give up and rest. To me, that's not fun.

The parks were decorated beautifully for the holidays, I loved Pop, and I learned that we absolutely have to do the dining plan next time, as we are horrible with budgeting our money for food!

Unfortunately, I have to go back to work tomorrow, so I have no DIS time tonight, but I will be back to get caught up on everyone's TR's and PTR's and hopefully start a TR for this trip, I'm thinking I will make the TR for this trip a quick one. I have to upload my pictures and think of a title and everything.

Alright, I'm off to bed, I know it's early, but I'm not used to getting up at 5:30 anymore, and I feel awful, so I have to try to rest if I want to get anything accomplished at work tomorrow! Have a great night!

Welcome back. Glad you had a good trip but sorry you got sick. My sister was sort of sick for the trip she and my parents took too (and is still not feeling that great!).

Bummer that Brandon is Disneyed out. I think my mom feels the same way after taking two trips in a month and a half, even after getting to see my sister! Not everyone is as Disney obsessed as we are.

Thanks! Ugh, I guess December isn't the best time to go to Disney. They even have a message on one of the Disney tv channels about staying healthy in December, and to make sure you're ok to go into the parks! I thought it was a little dramatic at first, but I guess not!

Yeah, it kind of sucks that Brandon isn't obsessed with Disney like I am. At first I got scared that I was Disney'ed out too, but then I realized, I was aggravated that I had to slow down and try to take care of myself because I was sick. Ugh. Just makes me want to go back asap now.

Thanks! It was frustrating not to be able to tour the parks like we always do. Although, it made me realize I should probably rethink our future touring plans a little. Brandon does not like staying out late and getting up early. I have no problem with it, (when I'm healthy, of course ) but he's not a big fan, so I might have to make some adjustments for our next trip, whenever that is!

If we go in September, I was thinking the last week, so we could catch the beginning of the food and wine festival again, but I really don't know. I was also thinking the week of Labor Day, so I could be there on my birthday. It's all so up in the air right now! When are you going in September?

Ugh, yeah, I seriously stress so much before a trip about getting sick in Disney, I try to take all the proper precautions and usually it works, but not this time! Brandon says I worry so much about it that I make myself sick. Maybe he's right!

It's sad that Brandon needs a Disney break, but I can understand where he's coming from, he didn't grow up going there like I did. He has already agreed to go at some point next year, but I just don't know when yet!

Thanks! We did have a good time, even if I did feel horrible most of the time, I tried to just push through and have fun! Haha, well, I know I'm getting one more trip out of those AP's, just not sure when...I'd love to get 2, but I know that might be pushing it, unless I do a solo trip! We'll see!
