That was the BEST Most Magical Trip EVER!! (A Sept 2011 TR) [COMPLETED]

We awoke on our last official day in Disney, and it was sad to be the last day, but we did end up also being a little happy to soon be headed home, (or at least...to have separate beds/rooms for a little bit) in the next day.

Today we all started with a food-court breakfast again, and today was also the day that as we were heading down to breakfast, Amy & I noticed that our refillable mugs we had gotten with the dining plan & only used once...were missing...which we thought was extremely odd, as they had been sitting in the same place all week, and why on earth would housekeeping want them? We made a mental note to talk to the front desk on our way back in that evening to see if we could do anything about it.

We ate down in the Pop food court, I couldn't tell ya what anyone else had, but I JUST remembered that I had chocolate chip pancakes! They were pretty darn good!

After the boys finished eating, they ran back up to the room really quick, and then met us all out at the bus stop (and yes, it actually worked out this time:rotfl:) When Tyler came up, he had an interesting story to share: apparently on his way up to the room, a staff member had came up to him, handing him a reusable mug saying that he had left it down by the bar earlier in the week. Well...that's where my mug had been...Tyler had clearly been using our mugs to drink out of while he finished the bottle of crown, and forgotten about it. :headache: When you look back on it, it's actually pretty funny now!

Once the bus was there, we hopped on, which one, you may ask? Why, we were headed to Animal Kingdom...for now... We had made a plan the night before, and were planning on sticking to it!

Our first plan: to brave the yettie...yet again!

I was lingering a little behind to snag as many pictures as I could, it was our last day, and I wanted TONS of memories to savor! :rotfl:

5-1.jpg

Not to mention, everyone was in good spirits, and would stop for some good pics! Ahh! There it is, the big drop! Eeeek!

6-1.jpg

So excited! I had become such a thrill ride junkie this trip!| Hey! From not being able to go on anything, to doing everything but Mission: Space & Space Mtn & RnR, I think I was doin' pretty good!

We got to the park a little after 9, probably closer to 9:30, so there was a bit of a line, and lots of time to actually take in all the detailing in the cue

Josh Gates (?) footprint!! This one was specifically for Emily, who was on our May trip, and was more excited about it, than actually going on the ride!

Then, we were off!! As we had gone through all the rides, and I was a lot more comfortable taking my hands off the restraint bar now :thumbsup2 we had decided to do some silly poses for our ride pics, make them more interesting!

11-1.jpg

Once we disembarked our train, we jumped right back into the single rider's line, and were boarded once again in no time!

12-1.jpg

(I didn't do anything cool during that one, so no pic! haha)

We left Asia behind us, knowing that a fast pass would be no good to us, and we headed back to Africa, while making some more decisions. Nick & I then strayed to Camp Minnie Mickey to catch the just starting Festival of the Lion King (you had to know that was coming, my favorite show, skip it? Heck no!) While Amy & Tyler went over to Dinoland to om nom nom with some prehistoric friends!

13-1.jpg

Thanks to the overload of FOTLK pics, this is where I have to leave you now, I will update again tomorrow morning to kick this trip report in the butt! I also have to start getting ready as we are going to see the MUPPET'S today!! EEEKK:yay:

(Also, random, but has anyone else, after spending time in WDW, gone to a 3d movie and expected air/scents/water to come spraying at them? Yup....it's a weird thing when you brace yourself for it & then remember that it doesn't happen out here in the real world!)

Why have I never thought of climbing on the little ledge to take a picture in front of Spaceship Earth? That is SUCH a good idea!!

I'd never thought of it either! It was definitely the photopass guy's idea!

Those slushies look amazing right now, not sure why (it's definitely not hot!) but I want one!

I really like Illuminations too; do they still do the massive fire plumes? That was always my favorite part.

I would kill for one of those slushies right now...and it's in the minus celcius temperatures up here! I would always be able to drink them!

And yes, I'm pretty sure they still do the fire plumes...

Where I left off, Nick & I veered into Camp Minnie Mickey while Tyler & Amy went on a prehistoric adventure in Dinoland. Our target: why, Festival of the Lion King, of course!! As I've already stated, my dream job, GAAAHH, it's just so incredible! I won't lie, the FOTLK soundtrack usually accompanies my cardio workout, it's the perfect 20-30 minute workout!!

If you've ever thought about stuff like I think about while at Disney, you must have had the thought that they are just ripped, and in the greatest shape of their lives. Doing something like this 5 plus times a day?! Just doing one show a night & I shape up, it's gotta be amazing!!

Be Prepared for some fire dancing!!

And of course, Can You Feel the Love Tonight; I swear, one of these days, that'll be me... *swoon*

*sigh* such an amazing show!! It's the main reason I'd even go to Animal Kingdom, I love it so much. Lion King was (and still is) one of my favorite classic Disney movies, and the show is just so incredible that I will always love it. Here's the best youtube vid I could find of it (the bird girl is amazing, such beautiful dancing!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqQxVGZ5RH0

Just gotta love it!!

After we left FOTLK, we met up with Tyler & Amy on a bench on the way out of CMM, and our Animalistic Adventures were done for the day. Next up, HOLLYWOOD!! We would be stars someday! We jumped on a DHS bus and were on our way.

29-1.jpg

30-1.jpg

Our first stop: why down Sunset Blvd of course!! We checked the wait time on Tower of Terror, one of my new favorites, but it was already up past 70 mins, so we decided to skip it, and head over to Rock n Rollercoaster.

31-1.jpg

One of the great things about today was that we had already experienced all of the rides, so when possible, we were able to jump in the single rider lines to save time & manage to get more done!!

Up next: the show that we missed last time!! Beauty & the Beast. This show might even top FOTLK, B&tB is one of my faves, and the fact that this is a broadway style show just makes me so happy (I'm actually seeing it on Broadway in January!! eeek! :yay:)

However, this will have to be in a separate post, as (surprise surprise) I have too many pictures of it!!

Alright, so what happened here was I was typing it up on the Disboards, when I usually use word, to make these problems not happen, and hit enter, and it posted far too early. SO, I'll use this as a real life update!!

We have a mere TWO WEEKS until we go to Disney World to Audition. I may or may not have stated earlier that the audition website went down, and the audition we were planning on attending wasn't up anymore, thankfully a couple of weeks ago, it was re-posted :yay: However it does say a lot more about character performers (being friends with Mickey & Minnie) than it does character look alikes (being friends with Tink & Princesses) so I'm not sure if this is exactly the audition that we want, but it'll be great to just get the experience!!

Hopefully it goes well, and then when the dance auditions come around, I'll know kind of what to expect. I do also have plans on auditioning for Disney Cruise Lines sometime in the near future.

In other, other trip plans; I've decided that for my Surprise mother daughter trip, I will tell her at Christmas, I'm going to wrap up everything separately, numbered from 1-10 (say thats as high as it goes) and the last present will be the planning dvd, and a book full of pictures from past trips/google/the Dis that will explain what we're doing, and such! I'm SO EXCITED for that!!:woohoo:

We had just settled down in the Beauty & the Beast theatre, and were discussing the show, Tyler wasn't sure if he was going to like it, as he hadn't really liked FOTLK, and wasn't sure of his opinion on theatre stuff so far. He decided that he did NOT want to skip it though, as he wanted to do nearly everything.

Soon enough, the show was started!! Nick & I were hoping that it would NOT be the same Belle we had seen last year (and Nick had seen earlier in the week) as she was clearly opera trained, and would drag out the notes too long, where as Belle didn't actually sing like that at all, it kinda ruined it for Nick, as for me, I just wanted to see as many different casts as possible!

Well, we were in LUCK!! This Belle was different, and was absolutely BRILLIANT, she looked the part, and sounded incredible, and from what I could tell, had more dance training than the other one. I also noticed a few of the dancers in the cast were the same, and the one who was the witch this time, had just been a "blonde girl" last time.

44-1.jpg

Around this point, was when I started noticing some other things about the rest of the cast, things that of course, would only go through my brain. Haha! With the dancers, it was pretty easy to tell who had been trained in just dance, and had only danced before, like, step turn kick, in competitions, versus those who had actually done theatre, or any form of cheerleading, when "faces" come into play. Or those who had just started doing the show, and weren't quite comfortable in it yet. The things my brain thinks of!

51-1.jpg

Another thing I noticed, the show goes from the Belle/Gaston mash up, to Belle being in the castle with this transition; the narrator goes something like this "due to unforseen circumstances, Belle ended up in an enchanted castle" the way they do it just makes me laugh, I don't mind that they cut out 3/4 of the movie, it needs to be done, but it makes me giggle.

The curtain dropped, we hooted & hollered, and turned to Tyler, his thoughts: "it was great!!" He liked it way more than FOTLK, and he then started comparing the quality of the show to the ones at the dinner theatre we work at, to which I HAD to laugh. Disney has millions of dollars....dinner theatre, not so much. That, and if you've studied theatre, they say that the levels of theatre starts way down at the bottom with Mime, Clowning, then Dinner Theatre...yup...can't compare that!

With our musical adventure behind us, we checked the wait time for ToT again, and it was still ridiculously long, so we headed out for some shopping on the way out of the park. While Amy was picking up a Grumpy bobble head for her dad, was when the rain started. Now, it wasn't that bad at all, so we braved it and headed for the bus to conquer our next park!

I just have to say, that the title of this entry, I actually say pretty much every time it does look like rain, it’s a thing I do, weird, I know.

So, where I left off, we were just finishing up at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the rain had just begun! By the time we had gotten to the bus stop, it was starting to slow down, and knowing how HUGE the Disney property is, we figured by the time we got to our next park, it would probably be done, or at least just spitting.

Our next park was: EPCOT!! The plan of attack for this one was to hit up Test Track, possibly Spaceship Earth, and Nick really wanted to see Captain EO, as he had missed it the day earlier.

On our way in, we stopped for some photopass pictures, as they would be the first of the day, and it actually turned out to be one of the best pictures from the trip, it’s framed, and soon to be on my wall!!

Photo0445FourBySix-1.jpg

After the group shot, the photographer said he wanted to get a ladies only picture, and as he took a few, and then never called the boys back for a boys only picture, we joked that he had wanted the “not so pretty ones” out of the picture,

Photo0451FourBySix-1.jpg

Photo0452FourBySix-1.jpg

After he scanned our card, we were on our way, on our way to Test Track that is! As we weren’t too concerned for riding this one all together, we jumped right into the single rider line, and let me tell you, these lines are just amazing. We skipped right through the cue, didn’t even have to watch the video (which was quite alright with me! :thumbsup2 ) We made it all the way to the front, were given our row numbers, Tyler even made it into his own car, and out of sight….and the ride appeared to be shutting down…at least temporarily. Amy & I were right up by the exit, and could hear the cm’s talking about it, and, after running back to Nick & talking to him, we discussed our options, and decided to just leave, hoping that Tyler would figure out that we were out the exit, in the gift shop. Along the way, we joked that he was stuck in either the heat room, or out in the rain :rotfl2: I know, we’re great people.

Nick & I had to run out to the bathroom while we waited, and this was the point that it became very apparent who lived somewhere where it rained, and who wasn’t used to it. It wasn’t even that bad!! I spent half a year living in Vancouver, so I know now rain, it was just “raining” and there were quite a few people who thought it was “pouring” yeah…not so much…I will give ya this, it was slick enough that I nearly died going into the bathroom, wet flip flops & wet floors, not such a good combo!!

After averting crisis of falling, I made it back to the Test Track gift shop, where Tyler had found Amy, and funnily enough, been stuck in the heat room!! Ahh, good times hey! We decided we didn’t want to get back in line for it, and Amy & I were just about ready to go, so we split up. We had an ADR for later that night at Magic Kingdom, so we said we’d meet up at 7:45 there, and the boys went there way, while we went ours. They browsed through some gift shops, and paid a visit to Michael Jackson.

65-1.jpg

66-1.jpg

Verdict is….Nick LOVED IT!!! He wanted to go again & again, but Tyler vetoed that out! They both bought posters, (one of which is so graciously decorating the walls upstairs of the house I live in…not my choice! :rotfl: ) and Nick also bought a t-shirt.

On our way out, Amy & I tried to get some pictures of how bad the rain had gotten, or at least, how dead, or poncho covered the park was by this point. Anything out in the rain, would have been dead, we even wanted to bet that the Norway ride had a huge line! :lmao:

63-1.jpg

64-1.jpg

As you can (maybe) tell, we were under the awning for the Electric Umbrella, and slowly made our way out of the park. Along the way though, I figured we had to document the moment, so I ran up to a photopass girl, and asked if she could take some pictures of us in the rain, and here’s what we got (if you look at the two tones on my shirt, you can see how wet we were!)

Photo0457FourBySix-1.jpg

Photo0463FourBySix-1.jpg

(Also, there are just moments when you ask me to pose with arms up that my dancer/gymnast come through in pictures… *sigh*)

And with that! EPCOT was done, Amy & I ran up the ramp to catch the monorail & head over to our last, and most favorite park of the day!!

Amy & I had just narrowly escaped a very wet Epcot….if getting caught in the rain is narrowly escaping…and jumped on a Monorail that would take us over to Magic Kingdom. I had made an ADR for dinner that night, plus there were evening EMH at MK that night, hence ending at that particular park. That, and it’s my favorite, so why not?!

We finally reached our destination, and headed off the monorail & breezed through the gates, and bag check. Here, is where something a little funny happened, the security, bag check guy, was an older gentlemen, and while looking through my bag, made some comment on how I must be a dancer, while I tried to figure it out, he laughed, and pulled out the roll of sports tape that I had in there. Haha!! Guess it gave me away!

67-1.jpg

Yup…look at that right there, I cannot wait to see that sight again soon!! (This is currently the lock screen on my phone!) After grabbing a pic of that, we stopped for a photopass, I mean, hey, it was our last day, and we needed to get as many pics as we could!!

Photo0467FourBySix-1.jpg

We were nearly all dry at this point! Once inside the gates, we realized we had yet to get a shot with the Halloween decorations right by the flag pole, so we jumped in line for one! This photopass guy was younger & definitely attempting to flirt while taking our picture! Haha

Photo0469FourBySix-1.jpg

Once our photo session was finally completed, we decided that it was time for lunch, and a snack, we hadn’t really eaten since that morning at the hotel, and were getting hungry, but wanted to make sure we didn’t eat too much, we had dinner booked for later! So, where else to go at this point but the Main Street Bakery!!

68-1.jpg

Oh my goodness, the smell of this place is quite possibly one of my favorite smells in the world!! There were so many choices!! I finally came to terms with a Turkey Sandwich, and a Banana Bread, Bread pudding for dessert, with of course, a bottle of water.

69-1.jpg

Both items of my lunch were absolutely amazing, the sandwich’s bread was a little too thick, I’m pretty sure I tore off half of the top slice halfway through eating it, but hey, it’s all good. Now, the bread pudding, WOW, amazing, treat of the day!! (So far, that is!!) I couldn’t tell ya what Amy had, but I know she got a cookie for her dessert, and it was clearly Disney sized, cause it was HUGE!

After we finally managed to get through our huge & delicious meals, we started to make our way around the park. I’ve lost my page of notes, and it’s been a while, so I’m going to assume that we may have ridden a ride of two, but were just taking it slow, the park was still pretty crowded, so we were waiting for EMH to start before tackling those kind of things. As we walked towards Frontierland, we saw PETER!! He was just skipping through, headed to the back, about 10 feet ahead of his handler. This was the first time we’d actually seen him out and about for a meet & greet, so we asked when and where he’d be back.

Now knowing that he’d be out at the Adventureland bridge, we grabbed some more water, and a seat to pass the time people watching while we waited for him to come back. Around the last day, I started to really only want bottled water, rather than filling up on tap water, something I noticed was that it smells the same as the water in Pirates, and that just makes me not want to drink it.

Anyway! Soon enough, Peter was back out!! He picked a nice spot that was more shaded, and started to say hi to everyone!

70-1.jpg

72-1.jpg

We had finally done all of everyone’s favorite characters! Goal achieved!! Heck yes! The Castle Show was about to start, and since we were pretty much in the hub already, we decided that we’d help some dreams come true next.

I really like this show, the whole “DREAMS COME TRUE” chanting thing, not gonna lie, I tear up a little bit when it happens. The show has some good dancing in it too, so it really does keep my attention!

Here’s a video if anyone wants to watch:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QD5tLmJ9NBc

Pirates, Princesses, dancing & fireworks at the end, yup, you’ve got me there!! Once the show was over, we made a game plan, Amy, who had been wearing running shoes when we were caught in the rainstorm, had some very wet feet. We had plans to meet up with the boys at 7:45/8:00pm ish for our dinner reservation that evening, so we decided we would re-meet up then and there. Amy was headed back to Pop to change her shoes, she really didn’t think she’d make it the rest of the night otherwise! With a plan made & decided on, we split up our separate ways!!

Where I left off, Amy and I had split up, me to stay at the Magic Kingdom, and her to run back to Pop to change her shoes as they were soaked thanks to the rain.

I thought about all the possible things to do, figured I might do Phillharmagic, but didn't want to do many rides, as MK's rides aren't really built for single riders. I wandered through Main St, and did a couple laps of the park just people watching, before I decided; hey, I've got a lot of time to kill, I may as well meet Rapunzel!!

The line had been not the greatest, and there was no way I was going to make everyone sit through that wait, so now was definitely the best time to do it! They had her in the Fairtale Garden, with one group of people, and another line building outside of the Garden. I got in this line around 6:55pm, and killed time by looking at all the other pictures, and just taking everything in.

Soon enough, we were let in and they brought her out (I, along with everyone else, was crossing fingers for a surprise Flynn, but no luck!)

105-1.jpg

106-1.jpg

There was a small boy in line a couple of families ahead of me, and I didn't hear the exact exchange, but I'm pretty sure he proposed to Rapunzel, as I heard her exclaim "I have a new husband!!"

I was impressed with how fast the line was moving! Yet, she was still getting in so much interaction in with everyone in the small amount of time that you were with her. Now it was my turn! I knew the drill, handed the attendant my camera & the photopass card, and went up to meet her

Photo0470FourBySix-1.jpg

108-1.jpg

She asked where I was from, and after finding out it was Canada, she asked how it was, I said cold! Her response was that thankfully, having lots of hair she could keep herself warm, and that she had never been there, but would have to get Flynn to take her sometime soon

Photo0478FourBySix-1.jpg

109-1.jpg

She was honestly perfect, definitely the 2nd best princess of the trip, hands down. I would love to "be friends" with her as well, I like the princesses that have some spunk to them, she was awesome, and I'm super glad I waited in the line (it took exactly an hour from getting in the line to leaving the meet & greet!)

While I was off meeting Princesses, Amy was back at Pop taking a break, and wandering the resort, here are some of her pictures!

Ahh! It's almost time for your auditions! Good luck!!

I always wonder about those performers, if they're a hired troupe or actual cast members or college program, etc., etc. because it seems like once you get a REALLY GOOD Gaston or FOTLK member or whomever you'd want to keep them forever. And it would be kind of hard to get enough CP people around. My boyfriend always gets upset because I like to sit near the front at dance (well, ballet, we never see other dance really!) performances because I don't care about seeing the whole thing, I like to watch the footwork (it's what I was always best at, and usually ballet scenery gets boring really fast because it's rather sparse and doesn't change that much. Also - the faces are usually funny and don't really ~further the story~ for me since I'm so familiar with most of the traditional ballet canon by now).

Rapunzel/Flynn is the one line I really, really want to stand in at the Christmas party; all the other princes are rather beige-y and lacking in personality and I wouldn't want to waste my time with them (princesses are excluded from this because they can be seen normally). I'm glad that everyone seems to be getting a personality in newer movies, though I like brunette Rapunzel better than blonde Rapunzel (I would think it would be pretty traumatic to go back to that hair after it having led to her being kidnapped, etc.! Also it looks really uncomfortable to have that much hair ;)).

Ahh!! We leave in 3 days!! I'm DYING!! Excitement & nerves!! And in terms of the big performers, (like the singers, the dancers in B & TB and tumble monkeys/bird dancers in FOTLK) they do separate auditions that are "equity" (you don't have to be part of the equity to audition, but if you get the role, you're doing that and only that (although, don't quote me on this, I could be wrong)

Our audition is for parade/show "movers" (such as the chorus in FOTLK) and face characters & character performers, SO, yeah, excited!!

And heck yes! I would brave that line at the Christmas party, but I've heard the 16th is now sold out :scared1: not sure what its going to be like!

Just found your trip report today! It is excellent! Please keep us posted about your audition and enjoy the holiday decos in WDW!
My next trip is in 2012-- November... with my dance school. I am old enough to be your mom.. but just took up tap dancing and restarted ballet 5 years ago. We danced in WDW in 11/10 and are going back in 2012!
NO way am I professional... but love to do it for the exercise and fun!

Sending lots of pixiedust: your way! What an exciting time, ENJOY!! I have been reading your trip report, just never commented! I just love your enthusiasm for Disney World! I think you will do great at the audition!! I know 3 girls that are performers/character's. Our DS was in the CP and LOVED it...great experience for him!

I will definitely keep everyone posted on here! As well as having a TR, possibly live from the world! EEK

That's awesome that you got back into dance. I took a couple of years off after graduating, but once I got back into theatre I figured I should get back to it. I love it, it really is a way of life haha

While I was wandering the park, just taking my time & people watching, I was heading over toward Crystal Palace, and ran into Nick! He and Tyler had split up as well, Tyler headed back to the hotel for a nap, so we figured Amy would bring him back with her. In the meantime, Nick had gone and already eaten, as he was too hungry to wait for the ADR, so he bailed out of dinner, which was fine by me. I mean, why pay for a buffet and not eat anything?

By 7:45, Amy had arrived, shoes changed, and ready to go, so we checked in, and downsized our reservation to only 2 people. We were, of course, eating here:

1151-1.jpg

We were handed a buzzed, and meandered around the porch, and nearby area in front of the restaurant, the lights had dimmed, and we had time to watch the Electrical Parade from a distance. Then we waited some more…and watched the Magical Memories & You show. Wishes was about to start (I will now let you know, our ressie was for 8:20pm) and still our buzzer hadn’t gone off, and we were annoyed & concerned, so we walked back up to the podium, where it turned out they had physically been calling us, but our buzzer must have been broken or something. Yup. Grump.

Once the issue was sorted out, we were quickly seated inside, and close enough to the windows that we could see most of Wishes through them as they started. Our server came by quickly & grabbed a drink order, and asked if we knew how it worked. He was an older guy, who I definitely can’t remember the name of, but he was great. Amy took a picture to prove she had actually been there, and we were on our way to the buffet.

116-1.jpg

At this point, I was so hungry & distracted by everything that I completely forgot to take a picture of our plates, or the buffet, but it was good, ok. Nothing too fantastic, just a lot of homey style food, if you’re going to do Crystal Palace, I’d say do it for breakfast, the food’s amazing & you can get into the park early, which is how I like to do it!!

While we were scarfing down our food, the characters began to come around to say hi!

117-1.jpg

I had only planned on getting signatures of characters that I didn’t already have from the last trip or earlier in this trip, but I had the autograph book out on the table, and every one of them that came by would gesture to it & insist that they sign it! It was different than other experiences, where they seem to completely ignore it, even if it’s in your hand. Good times!!

118-1.jpg

119-1.jpg

Eeyore’s the 2nd fave of the Winnie the Pooh characters for me, that is, aside from Lumpy (the Heffalump!) the fact that he’s so sad, makes me sad most of the time, but he’s so adorable!!

120-1.jpg

121-1.jpg

After Piglet, we jumped back up for a second plate at the buffet, which I remembered take a picture of!! This was my healthy plate, probably the most veggies & stuff that I ate all week, it was good! Cucumber salad, broccoli, and there’s some salmon that’s hidden under there too!!

122-1.jpg

During my healthy plate, our favourite came around!! I like that Amy & I both love Tigger, he’s pretty fantastic, am I right?! He of course, snuck up on me,

123-1.jpg

And as I jumped up for a hug, we had a little chatskie

124-1.jpg

Tigger put his arms out, and began to dance, and I took it was a “oh, we’re bouncing!” which, when we started dancing, I said “Oh! I thought we were going to bounce!” Tigger stopped, doing the *sigh* movement, and then pointed up at the roof. I didn’t get it… He *face-palmed* and then moved again, indicating that if he bounced inside, he’d hit the roof. I quickly laughed at myself, and said “I’m pretty…” which is something that my boss and most of my co-workers say if you do or say something really stupid, it’s a “you’re pretty” comment. Tigger “said” it right back, and patted my head…hilarious…

125-1.jpg

He shared a little dance with Amy too!!

126-1.jpg

And then he said goodbye to us, before the head honcho came over to our table to say hi!

127-1.jpg

128-1.jpg

Here's a super cute video, definitely not us at all, but still, Pooh Bear being adorable: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGdRHamOgbg&feature=related

Somewhere in there, we jumped up for a dessert buffet, and I most definitely got…one of everything!!

129-1.jpg

The greatest part of it: the PUMPKIN PIE CHEESECAKE!!! Ahhh!! SO GOOOOD… food of the day! They also had more of the banana, banana bread pudding, which wasn’t nearly as good here as it was at the Bakery, lesson learnt!

With our bellies full, and a full park to explore, there were EMH to attend, and things to do! So we settled up our bill, said good-bye, and set out around Main St for a bit, I found a watch I really liked!

130-1.jpg

We then checked with a cm on how late the stores would be open, with it being EMH, we weren’t sure, but they were still open til around an hour after, or something like that. SO, we said we’d leave shopping for last, and actually hit up some rides. Our personal favourite was first, of course, so we headed over to Frontierland for a last ride on Splash.

131-1.jpg

I don’t think I could ever get sick of this ride, it’s just so awesome (minus some of the “dead” birds & stuff that really need some fixing up), the theme-ing of it, the music, the drop, ahhh, just awesome. We came out of it not too wet, and decided to head through Adventureland on the way out, I’m 99% sure that we hit up Pirates for a ride along the way over to Fantasyland. The park had been busy enough that there were still things in Fantasyland we hadn’t gotten to, and it was now or never, so we may as well. Our first pick: Snow White (which I, along with many others, wonder when our last ride on it will be!)

132-1.jpg

133-1.jpg

134-1.jpg

As I was just posting the last update, I realized that I forgot to mention that while we were shopping on Main Street, we jumped around to Le Chapeau for Amy to buy some Mickey ears, and I bought a couple pairs of Minnie headband ears! The plan was for them to be part of the surprise/present for my mom this coming Christmas, as well as something for Amy & I to wear around the park for the rest of the night!

We were currently in Fantasyland, doing the things that we must get done during our last day in the parks, having just taken (possibly our last) ride on Snow White’s Scary Adventures, we next chose Winnie the Pooh!

135-1.jpg

It’s just SUCH a great ride, such good characters, I love all of it!!

136-1.jpg

139-1.jpg

I also love that the ride takes the basic plot line of the original stories, with the blustery day, and Tigger’s entrance, and the heffalumps & woozles! (Or..as many call it, Pooh’s acid trip… :rotfl: )

Amy & I stopped for Mickey’s Phillharmagic one last time, checked the wait time for Dumbo, and then trekked into Tomorrowland. I said that Amy could definitely jump in line for Space Mtn, and I’d wait for her if she wanted to go, but she opted out, saying that it was ok. We were pretty tired by this point, and had finished basically everything we wanted to. We figured one spin on the Peoplemover, and then we’d check on the Laugh Floor.

140-1.jpg

141-1.jpg

142-1.jpg

We were soon to discover that we had missed the last of the Laugh Floor performances by a few hours, oh well, we weren’t counting on it, especially since it was evening EMH. Our goal was to make it to 1am, and once it was that time, we were going to head back to the hotel & get some sleeeeeep.

But of course, we definitely stopped for some more photopass pictures infront of the castle, it’s just so beautiful, especially all lit up at night. I love the view from the Rose Garden, just beautiful!!

And then some on Main Street!

Photo0486FourBySix-1.jpg

Our next stop, was the Confectionary, we had some Candied Apples to get, and devour before we left the park! They weren’t covered by the dining plan snack credits, but that’s fine, we had to get rid of our American cash before leaving the country, didn’t we? Here they are;

143-1.jpg

144-1.jpg

We snagged a bench to sit on and hang out & people watch while we ate our apples, people watching is quite possibly the most amazing down in Disney World!! We finally made it to 1 am, the official closing time of the park.

Once it hit closing, we headed for a bus, which wasn’t that bad of a wait, and were back at the hotel before we knew it. I called down for a late check out the next day (somewhere around noon) and chatted with the boys a bit before bed. The next day all we had to do was check out & fly home! Booooooo!!

Photo0488FourBySix-1.jpg

It was Sept 19th, and we were slowly waking up later, and finishing up all the packing we had left to do. After one more stop at the gift shop to make sure that we hadn’t forgotten to pick up any of our purchases, we dropped our luggage off at the resort luggage area, grabbed some snacks and settled down for the wait for the Magical Express

146-1.jpg

(And yes, I am infact, reading the Unoffical Guide in that picture…) Hey, being in Disney makes me think of all the amazing things I can’t wait to share with other people, so I want to start to think about sharing it with other people!

147-1.jpg

Before we knew it, we were on the plane, and headed back home safely & un eventfully!

148-1.jpg

149-1.jpg

With that, I leave you from all of the pictures, and stories of our trip. I sure hope you enjoyed sharing our September trip with us, and hope that you’ll be sure to keep and eye out & enjoy our trip report involving the audition in 2 days, and the surprise trip with my mom next Sept. I also may have some news about a new trip this coming Spring, with some theatre people who are Disney nuts, so we’ll see how many trips we can do!!

Have a magical day!!

Animal Kingdom faves: Expedition Everest, FOTLK, seeing Thumper!!

DHS: ToT, RnR, TSMM, MUPPETS!, Beauty & the Beast.

Epcot: Grey goose slushies, Test Track, exploring.

Food Reviews:

-Cosmic Rays: 4/5
-Delicious food, I love the turkey sandwich, and the carrot cake, nothing will every compare to Disney Carrot cake
-I give it a 4/5 as it always seems to be super crowded & there isn’t enough seating for how many people there are in it.

-Cinderella’s Royal Table: 5/5
-Great service, they were very attentive, gave us all the refills without having to ask, gave us so many extra buns, and even the magic wands & pirate swords!
-Food was incredible!! And there was enough time to digest everything so you didn’t leave feeling crazy bloated
-Princesses were great, it was double checked that all of them had made it to our table before we left.
-It’s eating in the castle, nuff said!
-Only downside: not being able to see Wishes from out seats. Next time I will ask for a window seat, also, to accommodate my mother’s birthday

-Anywhere in DHS: 2/5
-I simply don’t like the counter service in this park, I don’t find any of it to be good, sure, there’s burgers & fries, but if you try for something healthy, the sandwiches are so gross, and salad just isn’t enough some times.
-Snacks, good, but meals, not so much, I can’t comment on any table service places though.

-Tusker House: 4/5
-The service is good for a buffet place, I do wish it was a tad faster, though you can’t expect too much with a morning rush like that
-The food is amazing, they have a variety, not just the regular breakfast food, but some African styled choices as well
-A great way to get into the park early, and to see the fab 5
-I wish Donald came inside the restaurant for more interaction :(

-UK Fish & Chip Shop: 4/5
-Very quick service, and amazing food, hoooley!! I have a thing about Fish & Chips just not tasting like good fish & chips after spending so much time in Australia, but these ones were up to par!
-Only reason I don’t give it 5/5 is because the only option for dessert was potato chips, would’ve liked a cookie, or something of that sort.

-Pecos Bills: 4/5
-Again, super crowded, and hard to find a seat
-However, taco salad was incredible!!! I looooved the fact that you can add your own toppings, so that you don’t end up with things that you don’t like.

-Main St. Bakery: 5/5
-It always seems to be super busy, but the service is incredibly fast, and food is incredible fresh & delicious
-The turkey sandwiches are to DIE for, and same with the banana bread pudding. It’s a close second to the carrot cake for me!
-Next time: I’m getting a cinnamon bun~!

-Crystal Palace dinner: 3/5
-It took a little to long to get through everything. We told the boys a time to meet us, and we hadn’t even gotten through half the characters, so we split up for the rest of the night
-Amazing character interaction
-Good service!
-Great desserts
-Dinner food wasn’t the greatest, if I do it again, I’ll be doing it for breakfast!!

-T-Rex: 5/5
-Angel (our server) was awesome, seemed super happy & actually liked his job, which is always a perk
-They have an amazing selection of drinks at T Rex, which is awesome
-Food is incredible as always, though I still want to try the chocolate volcano dessert!
-I love the ambiance, it’s quiter than Rainforest Café, and cooler, I mean, c’mon, it’s dinosaurs!

-Pop Century Food Court: 3/5
-I wish they had healthier options for breakfast meals (or even if you could combine like, oatmeal, fruit & a muffin as a meal on the dining plan…maybe you can & I just don’t know)
-All the dinners we had were good though!!
-For the amount of people that are constantly in there, it’s a pretty efficient and clean place!

I enjoyed reading along for your TR and can't wait to hear all about your audition! Have a magical trip!

Hey friends!! Just wanted to jump back in here and give you all the link to the newest TR:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2845528

I figure it's way easier this way than you trying to hunt through TR's to find it! Our trip was amazing! We came back with more hilarous Ariel stories, met some new characters, and I must say, there are major benefits to travelling with just girls! As for the audition, and Christmas party?! Well, you'll just have to stay tuned over there to see how it all went down.

Now would be a time that I will also announce, I've planned another trip!! A group of friends from work & I have made plans to go back in May! We worked out the prices, and with no discounts, it's around $1500.00 each! Obviously there will be a TR involved in that as well, and if any of you are headed down during May 2012 (or Sept for that matter) let me know & maybe we can arrange a dismeet!?

Hope to see you all over there!! And thanks again for reading!

just finished reading this one, thanks for all the pics! just curious - did you guys not have cell phones to use to call each other when you got separated?
