Hello everyone, and thanks for joining me as I write my first ever Trip Report. I wrote my first ever Pre-Trip report for this trip as well. Those of you who read it know what it said, but if you didn't and would like to check it out, here's the link. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2662484

If you didn't read the PTR and don't want to, that's fine too. I'll summarize here. DW and I have been taking vacations over the past few years with her parents or mine. We decided that this year we wanted to take DS on a family trip with just the 3 of us. We hadn't decided 100% where we were going until one day last January we had a card in the mailbox for 40% off Deluxe Resorts at Disney World... and one of the weeks available was one of the weeks we were looking at for our vacation. DW isn't as big of a Disney fan as I am, but this discount and some pictures of the Wilderness Lodge were all I needed to convince her.

Who went?

Me, Andy: Just turned 30 a week before we left. This was my 7th trip to Disney World. My favorite park is Magic Kingdom. My favorite ride is Rock n Rollercoaster.

DW: She's not 30 yet... :rolleyes1 This was her 4th trip to Disney World (and I think her favorite). Her favorite park is Magic Kingdom. Her favorite ride is also Rock n Rollercoaster, although she had to sit it out this time.

DS: He is 22 months. This was his first visit. We'll see what his favorites are as the trip goes, but Mickey and "Duck" are most definitely his favorite characters.

D?: He/She is approximately negative 5 months old, but was along for the ride.

Our plan of attack for this trip was to leave around midnight on Black Friday and drive to St. Pete Beach. Were were going to spend Friday - Sunday night there, then head up I-4 to check in at the Wilderness Lodge and have breakfast at Chef Mickeys on Monday morning. We were then to check out of Wilderness Lodge on Saturday morning, spend a day in the parks and drive to Valdosta, GA for the evening before making the remainder of the drive on Sunday. As always, everything went 100% according to plan!:thumbsup2 :lmao:

ADR's we had for the trip were:
11/28: Chef Mickeys Breakfast
11/29: Whispering Canyon Lunch
11/30: Via Napoli Lunch
12/1: Tusker House Breakfast
12/2: Crystal Palace Breakfast
12/3: Le Cellier Lunch

This was my first visit since stumbling across this fantastic community on the internet and my eyes had been opened to several things that I either didn't know about or just walked by not realizing they might be worth my time as much as some of the tried and true experiences. Since we were traveling with a toddler, I planned to slow down and try some new things, eat at some new restaurants and just thoroughly enjoy my time at Disney World.

I'm sorry for the lack of pictures in this first post, but I'm writing from work and there just aren't any good "cover" pictures on my phone that I can post. We did take pictures, and we're getting a Photopass CD, so I hope to have plenty to post, especially once I get to the Disney World portion of the trip. Thanks for reading along!

Great start, Andy. I didn't know that a new one would be arriving at some point -- congratulations.

I'm so glad you are doing a TR. :)

It's got a good beat, and you can dance to it. I'll give it a 7.

Oh. Wait. Um. I'm in! Yeah, that's it. I'm in!

Can't read now - but am bookmarking to catch up tonight.

Love the title - perfect argument for Park Hoppers.

Hi Andy! I've seen you posting on a few other threads, so thought I'd ride along on your TR here. Looking forward to it!

Didn't know you had a little one on the way. Congratulations. I am in for the long haul.
