So, I just wanted to pop in and start a live trip report of sorts. Photos may have to wait to as I don't think DH brought a camera cord with us but can upload a few from my cell. What I can tell you after hours of agonizing waiting not really we scored a villa with a view. :lovestruc The view of DCA is unreal. I will post some phone photos later tonight. I will give tons more detail but can tell you that Disneyland was empty until about 11 am. By 1:00 it was 88* and crowded.

Off for dinner at an unexpected place with some unexpected guests. No, it's not Club 33 or anything but exciting none the less. :thumbsup2

Major pixiedust thus far. We've got a pocket full of FP so here we gooooo.......

:welcome: They are no where near your quality pics  but I'm hapy to share them. We have a simple and old point and shoot and then our iPhones. The pics I'm posting below are from my phone.

Subscribing!!

Awesome! :goodvibes

I just wanted to share a few photos from yesterday. These are from my iPhone. Not terrific fun neat anyway. I'm going to do the power walk through DCA this morning. :woohoo:

:goodvibes Thanks Mia. After nearly 11 hours between the two parks today, DH and I are going to go down to the Hearthstone Lounge to enjoy an adult beverage. The kids will be set with snacks, drinks, jammies, and the WoC from the deck. Right now DH, DD, and DS are at GRR getting one last DCA soak in. Insane.

The weather was perfect today and the crowds were minimal. :woohoo:

Tomorrow is our last day and we've all got a list of things we want to do but haven't had the chance. I would suggest to anyone reading this to plan on no less than 4 days during the holidays. While I'm sure we'll fit almost all of our must-dos in, we are feeling the crunch for sure. A magical crunch but still a crunch. :cloud9:

ETA: They just got back from GRR, soaked, and are running down to the jacuzzi first.

Sorry to hear that you are suffering so much. I'm here!!:rotfl:

Whew! Glad I checked in here. I was worried that the lack of Christmas decorations compared to last year, and the horrific restructuring of the DCA entrance had ruined your trip. :rotfl2:

I'm in...have a great time!

Jill in CO

:welcome: Jill. It's been amazing. It's 5:45 am and I've been up almost an hour. Today is our tour and I'm so excited. Plus it's shopping day.

Sorry to hear that you are suffering so much. I'm here!!:rotfl:

 :welcome: It's rough for sure but someone has to do it. ;) The WoC experienced tech difficulties last night about 3/4 of the way through. Boy I am glad we decided to watch from the balcony. The water was the highest I'd ever seen it. :thumbsup2 We could see the a lot of the projecions too. Our original plan was to do WoC with dining at Ariel's. I would have been a sad girl had we stuck with that plan.

:lmao: :goodvibes Smartie pants. I know you arrive tomorrow. The park looks amazing but there are some areas that are not decorated. It's all good, I just prefer Christmas shoved down my throat 24/7  I can tell you the *snow* smells like gngerbread. :cloud9: DCA is a bust IMHO. The entrance is totally bland. We've used the GCV entrance mostly though.

My family is sound asleep and I'm drinking coffee, yes Disneyland coffee which honestly is not bad at all. Not watery with a good flavor. I can hear some hubbub in DCA. I'm sure they are trying to remedy the WoC issues.

Our plan today is to do Fantasyland during MM. :lovestruc Collect FP and enjoy attractions, lunch at the Plaza Inn. Oh which reminds me that on the bottom of our CS receipts, they are giving 20% off coupon good for the World of Disney, some shop in DCA, and the Emporium everyday until 12:30. :thumbsup2 You have to turn the receipt in after you use it but we've collected 3 so far so check those receipts.

Our tour is at 3:00 until after the parade so that will leave about 2 hours left for any remaining magic to be had.

Sounds like you have a full day planned. Have fun for me!!

Minimum 4 days??? I only have one. :( One day is better than none. I'll take it. One day though is like torturing myself. Thanks for the tip on the receipts. Have a great last day!

:thanks: It was a great day.

Can't wait to read all about your trip! :surfweb:

:welcome: Hey ya! I'm going to try and be organized with this report however........

As I sit here in the quiet morning, on the balcony, watching the sunrise and DCA come alive while my family sleeps, I am left with some insights from this trip. At this moment, I am watching them test Jumpin' Jellyfish. I cannot tell you how cool that is. :thumbsup2

Our children appeared grateful during our trip. They didn't just have an amazing time; the truly appreciated the whole thing which leaves me all warm and fuzzy and not sad to come home. They are kids of course and had their moments but they thanked us numerous times for the villa, the view, the whole thing. It was a wonderful 3 days at Disneyland and 3 days in So Cal. We couldn't have asked for better beach weather or fewer crowds. pixiedust:

Our villa looks like a tornado ran through it and I've got lots of packing to do. We are going to skip Storyteller's for breakfast and finish off the stuff we've got here. DH and DS are itching to go to the ESPN Zone so we're going to eat there for lunch after making one last deposit at the World of Disney.

I wanted to share one last insight on the GCV before I start this report is proper order. This place is amazing :cloud9: This 3 days not only felt like a trip to Disneyland but like a resort stay as well. I cannot recommend the GCV enough. We have felt totally removed from any outside sources and surrounding areas. I am from this area and truly forgot we were in Anaheim. And no, there is nothing wrong with Anaheim ;) I enjoy the total emersion that this resort offers. Riding GRR 6 times in a row and being able to run across the way and up into our villa to change into dry clothes rocks! Tucking the kids in and going down to the Hearthstone Lounge to unwind after a full day in the parks is the best! :lovestruc If you get the chance to stay here or are waffling on where to stay, it's worth every penny! DVC was the best vacation investment we've made. And no I am not employed by them. :rotfl2:

Thanks for reading my ramblings. :grouphug: I will begin the report with photos soon.

Thank you!! I need all the help I can get!!:rotfl:

:rotfl: I think you do just fine.

Just finished uploading pics. We are home, laundry is in, and we are already in the mad planning stages for WDW in October 2012. :woohoo:

I am working on travel day. Oh how I heart travel day. ;)

I'm in! popcorn:: Thanks for the post on the GCH thread!

I can't echo this enough! I still live in the area and thought I was insane buying into the VGC, and then I added on more points to make this my largest overall contract! Every time we come out and stay it is so magical and when we stay more than one night it is magical to the exponential!

I can't wait to hear about your trip! I love DL TRs ever since joining the DIS, I've fallen more in love with Land than ever. For a while I was so smittem with the world, but now that we own points and stay overnight it is so much more magical! I'm guessing you were on the third floor from the picture you posted. But I'm sure you'll tell us that in due time!

I have to agree about GCV. We consider it an investment in our family's togetherness and always look forward to our next trip home.:cloud9:

:welcome: Allison, glad to have you. :goodvibes

I want to add on there so badly but with 2 kids in braces, my middle DD's bat mitzvah in May, Christmas, and out mego 2012 WDW trip, it's not in the cards. One day though. Even DH, was just so pumped on the experience. I have started an email to MS to give kudos.

We were on the 4th floor. I'm hoping to update today. I didn't realize the mounds of laundry and chores calling my name.  So worth it though.

:welcome: That's what DH said too; it's a time that we can count on to really spend some quality time together without hurry and much outside interference. The more times I use our DVC, the more I love it. Knowing that there is something special outside of the parks just enhances the magic. Taking midday breaks was never painful.
