Thank you so much for the nice pics! We will be staying there for 12 days and I am looking forward to it!!!

Regards from Brazil,

Had a few questions:

Where do you get/use the refillable mugs?
Do they provide the coffee or do you need to bring your own?

Thanks!!

any quick service location sales the mugs...go to the Trading Post or Trail's End.

Do they provide the coffee or do you need to bring your own?
Check the above post

Thanks!!

Happy Holidays!!

Thanks! I had read somewhere else that the cabins did not have coffee makers so I was confused.

You're welcome! And honestly, I don't remember if ours did or did not have one. My dad usually hopped on the golf cart and went to Trails End to get his morning coffee. You're going to love FW cabins!!!:thumbsup2

I have heard great things about the cabins!
:thumbsup2

Quick question about the coffee maker in the cabins. Do they provide filters? If they don't, is it a basket or cone filter?

As mentioned they do have "hotel type" coffee packets that Mousekeeping drops off each day. However, we brought our own coffee and basket style filters. (Actually stopped at a SuperTarget on our way from the airport to FW).

The cabins have two coffee makers a four cup and a ten cup, both use the flat bottomed basket coffee filters.

Are there any boats that go from Ft. Wilderness to the Contemporary? I know they did several years ago........

My family was just there this December and we could get a boat from Fort Wilderness, to Wilderness Lodge, and then the contemporary. I'm not 100% sure what their route is, but they always have 2 boats running and one always makes a stop at the contemporary. They have people on the docks that can help answer any questions :)

That is good to know! Thanks!!!

:thumbsup2. Subscribing to thread. Thank you to each contributor. I was at the cabins in dec. 2007, but this thread is helping me remember what we need and how to plan for our probable visit this Dec.:flower3:

We have booked a cabin for dec of this year! Cant wait! We are wondering since we are only staying 5 days how much decorating to you normally do for Christmas?

I have never stayed at FW, but one day would love to do so when DD is older. I saw an *old* video of WDW and FW on youtube and it showed people on canoes. Do they still have canoes? Anyone have pics? How much is it to rent and what is the river/stream like?

I'll be there in 2 weeks so I will let you know!

Rented canoes at the campground over ten years ago. It was fun then. Water level was very low. Not sure if they still rent though.

Really enjoyed the little water mice though that are powered and available to rent in 30 minute segments.

Have fun!:goodvibes:goodvibes
