Email difficulties? Romancing the mouse?

Hello everyone,
I truly am trying to be patient but I have not heard back from romancing the mouse in regard to their home rental. I have sent emails as far back as 3-4 weeks ago with no reply. I am thinking there may be a problem with my emails.

Has anyone experienced this before or am I being impatient? I really want to use them due to their reputation and references from this site.

Thanks for your help,

You're not the first person who has posted this in the last six weeks... someone had a reservation and had a hard time getting a response. They do take reservations in the order they receive emails so even if it's been awhile, if you requested a week first, you'd be the one to get it. I'd send another email and mark it "2nd request."

Honestly, this is all making me a little nervous about the 2 weeks we have reserved next summer. Never heard anything but good reviews but this is now at least the 2nd incident in a month where RTM wasn't responding to emails.

:flower3:Thank you for the information.

Does anyone have a telephone number for them that they could PM me? I did not see one on their website.

Many thanks,

It may also be that your week is no longer available. I know that when I emailed them regarding a long term rental (4-6 weeks), I was told that they have many repeat guests in WH, who make up the majority of their renters. I know I was very disappointed with their reply as not much interest was shown in my request for a longer stay. They tried to offer me their place in Windsor Palms which I was not interested in. :confused3

I think I may have to look for another place to stay - unfortunatly. I was looking forward to staying there. :(

I will post another thread for suggestions.

Thanks everyone,

I had a similar problem in May. Don't give up! It is worth it, trust me. Don't forget to fill-in the "Subject" line on your e-mail, or it will go to their Spam folder. There must be a phone number on their web site somewhere. If not, I would suggest calling information, or looking on the White Pages website. Like I said, don't give up! The homes are great, the owners are great, and you will be pleased.:yay:

Hi,

Having the exact same problem, no reaction at all to my reservation request. Have tried different email adresses resent my email etc.

No reaction at all, on the website i still see the requested dates open. Will wait a little bit longer (now already 1 1/2 week since first mail) to see if a reaction come in.

Not stating there phone number at there website is a clear signal for me, so i will wait a bit longer for a reply.

:surfweb: will wait and see..:worship:

I have a reservation in December with Romancing the Mouse. Initially, I received a quick reply but then later I did not get a reply for several weeks after submitting my reservation forms. Then I got an email from Mark explaining that he was out of the country for work and Holly was helping her mother move at that time. He further explained that the email system they had set up for that time period was not routing the incoming emails correctly and he apologized profusely. So perhaps they are still having the problem. I would recommend finding their phone number online as someone suggested earlier and trying to call instead of email. Good luck!

Did anyone already reached them, still waiting for an answer. Because i am in a different time zone (+9 hours), giving them a phone call is not my first option.:surfweb:

I have not received any type of reply. After their most recent calendar change I sent another inquiry, to no avail.

I am looking for other options now.

Sorry,

Sorry,

Sent you a PM with last phone number we had and suggestion for another place if it doesn't work out.

I think it's a good thing you're moving on. Not contacting you in that amount of time is unacceptable, especially with the multitude of choices you have in Orlando when it comes to vacation rental properties.

Go with someone that is responsive to your questions. :)

You'll have no problems finding somewhere else to stay. :wizard:

I have to agree. We stayed there in June and had a good time, but you don't want to stay someplace that you can't reach.

Looking at Emerald Island for our next trip.

they have been very responsive to my emails and my kids loved the look of the game room. That was the one thing with RTM--no game room and you have to pay to use the game room at the club house.

Argh. We have a reservation for next June, but their continued silence in response to emails is driving me crazy. I'm still waiting on a confirmation from six weeks ago. Sent a reminder well over a week ago and nothing. DH thinks I'm getting worked up about nothing, but I booked RtM because they are known for excellent customer service. This (and the thread a few weeks ago from someone who couldn't reach them and was traveling in a week) is not excellent customer service.

Debating whether to cancel or just keep the reservation and hope they get it in gear before June....

Did you try to call, and did you put a Subject in the Subject line? I had just a little trouble in May, but after he told me to do that, it was fine. Look him up on white pages.com. Mark Honek-lives on Fan Palm Way.

We had a stellar experience with them. Please don't give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Hi, after waiting for six weeks and 6 e-mails with URGENT in subject still no reply at all. Now booked another home at windsor hills (yesterday) and already received 5 mails back:banana:. Not reacting at all is a bad sign and not very polite.

My advise is to cancel and search for someone who reacts on your mail or put there phone number on there site.
