I will put this in the "main part" of the thread as well, but for all of you who are going to CSR soon, here is some new firsthand info from a friend who is there.

The Pepper Market has new hours and is "closed" between meals.

The new hours are:

Breakfast -- 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Lunch -- 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Dinner -- 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Cafe Rix is open from 6:30 a.m. to Midnight.

Yay for CSR!!! We just got back a couple weeks ago and just fell in love with this place. There was a convention while we were there and the pools and buses were almost empty. This was during a very busy week in the parks. It was so nice to come "home" at night and take a relaxing walk around the lake, grab a drink at the outdoor bar and sit under the stars without a zillion people running around everywhere.

We are still talking about the CSR and wishing we were back there.

To all contributor on this and the prior CSR threads...You guys all rock!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

Thank you all for helping me realize we WILL be SO very happy with CSR on our up coming trip. :thumbsup2 Your combined efforts have brought a wonderful variety of views to these threads. :goodvibes

Just a couple of questions if anyone has time...

StitchandPooh'sMom;43150373 All rooms come with the following: either two queen beds or one king-size bed said:
Doesn't the resort also offer free wi-fi now? Do all the rooms get wi-fi or just the preferred?[/COLOR]

Can't really tell...does an iphone dock on this clock?

TIA!! Keep up the good work!

Cant't wait to be there in June for our son's 10th birthday, and his 3rd gotcha anniversary (we adopted him in 2009, and took him to the World). We have never stayed in CSR before, but requested a water view when we go in June.

Kathy - Hope you will keep popping in around here! You've always been a great source of CSR information! :)

I don't have a CSR trip planned right now, but I'm subscribing anyway, since I love the resort and it's our first choice resort. We are springing for the premium plan on our upcoming trip and we have to pay rack-rate for that, so we opted to stay at Pop and save a couple of hundred bucks. It'll just be me and the hubby, so we can handle the smaller room, I think. We'll be so busy with tours and park-hopping that we won't be in our room much anyway!

I'll try to keep up and pop in to help out when I can!

It looks to me like you can dock an iPod, but I think I remember Allan (Cafeen) posting that there are no iPod docks. Has anyone been there recently that can answer that?

There is free wi-fi now in all rooms. I have read that it is a trial, but I have also read that it is permanent. I'll do some digging and update the thread info.

This will be our 1st stay at CSR!!!!! I am super excited! Our DD uses a wheelchair full time so we need a H/C room.

We are here now and our room does not have an iPod dock. We are in Casitas 5.

I have a question that is not CSR related but you regulars will know the answer I'm sure!

On our arrival day, we plan to spend the day at AK, but eat dinner elsewhere. Originally I had planned for us to eat at The Maya Grill so we could turn in early, but my husband is interested in going to DTD for dinner and walking around (I would love to try Raglan Road)...is there a bus that goes from AK park to DTD? Or are all DTD buses only from the resorts? If that is the case, we will skip DTD as it will take too long to go from AK park to AKL or another resort and then catch a bus to DTD. :sad2:

Thank you for all the great info on this thread and the old one...We are headed to CSR for our first stay at a Disney Resort Dec 2-9th and I am so glad my husband picked this resort. He wasn't a big Disney fan when we went to WDW on our honeymoon 13 yrs ago but once we were there he was converted. He has a hard time getting excited about things like trips but once were paid off this one, he really started to get excited. He wanted me to find pictures or video of the resort so he could really check it out. Now he's like a little kid waiting for Santa! I think he's even started to read some of the threads of these boards. All I know is this trip can't get here soon enough! Thanks again to everyone on the boards for all the advice, pictures and reviews! :goodvibes

Love the new thread, it's getting me excited all over again. Thanks :woohoo:

There is not a direct bus from any of the parks to DTD but Raglan Road is sooooo worth a trip!!! It has great food, music, dancing and is just so fun!

You could definitely make it there in under 45 minutes with some planning and a little luck and probably time to spare! Have some resorts in your mind that are either close to AK or DTD, not one close to MK since that is a hike from AK.

We found ourselves unexpectedly trying to get from MK to DTD two nights ago (we skipped my planned rest stop at CSR before DTD). We had 45 min to get there for a 7 PM ADR at Raglan Road. We waited forever for a bus for SSR because a CM told use it was close to DD. Well, we gave up after 25 minute and hopped on a bus that had just arrived for WL, figuring it was close to MK and we would only have one stop once at WL once we got there. We waited at WL for about a minute before DD bus arrived at 6:45. I figured we'd make it BUT I totally forgot WL bus needed to go to GF before DD. We arrived at DTD at 7 PM, got off at the Marketplace stop and hauled but over to Raglan Road, arriving at 7:05 PM. I requested and we waited for a table right next to the stage because I mentioned to the hostess my daughters Irish dance. They were thrilled when the professional dancer came over and asked them to show her some steps! :)

Yes, you'd have to go to DTD via a resort. Another option would be to take a taxi to DTD and then the CSR bus back to the resort. Or you could get a SSR bus at AK and walk to DTD. Or get a POR or POFQ bus and then take the boat from one of those resorts to DTD.

I always figure that even if something takes a little longer than I'd prefer, I'm still on vacation, so I try to enjoy the trip, enjoy the sights and go with the flow. :thumbsup2

Enjoy your trip! :goodvibes

Thank you for the new thread! :yay: It seems like a lot of work to maintain a thread like this one and the thread is very helpful.
