I wanted to report back here to let everyone know what we thought about the Buena Vista Suites. I appreciated everyone's willingness to share their experiences with us.

To start, we stayed 8 nights and got an incredible rate on their Thursday one day special. So overall, can't complain for what we paid. That said, we have no interest in returning.

Pros:
Location was great! It never took more than 10 mins to get anywhere.
The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly. We never had trouble finding a parking space. It was quiet. We saw lots of nice families.

Cons:
The breakfast buffet was bad. The food was just plain bad. We ate there for the first three mornings and then couldn't stand the thought of going back. The room is small for a suites. We have spent many vacations at the Doubletree Suites and that was truly a suites room. This was a "sorta-suites." We really needed more space (there are 5 of us). The housekeeping staff never left enough towels. We were either calling and waiting for more towels or having to share towels. One night we had no washcloths to bath the kids. That was fun.

So I wouldn't not recommend it, but for us it wasn't a good fit.

We are staying there one night before going on disney property. I am so glad it was clean. Can you share what they had for breakfast? Hopefully one night will be ok.

I definitely wouldn't discourage anyone not to stay there. It had some nice advantages. :goodvibes

For breakfast: pancakes or french toast, bacon or sausage, grits and oatmeal, eggs that were cooked with some cream ingredient, cereal, and mini donuts. They had a station with milk, soft drinks, and juice. The juice was unbelievably bad.

My family also loves the location of this hotel, but I completely agree with you on the size of the rooms and the breakfast. We are a family of five with three teenagers and much prefer the 2BR villas at the Caribe Royale next door. We can usually get great rates through their Wednesday One-Day sales.

We love BVS!!! Can't beat the location or price. Very clean, nicely appoited and comfy beds. No they aren't the largest suites but for us they are a great value when you factor in the breakfast savings. Typically we stay here for a night or two before checking into a DVC resort.

The breakfast is pretty good. Nothing fancy and not a huge selection but nice for a complimentary breakfast. I like the fact that it is set up buffet style and in a dedicated room and not in the corner of the lobby. We are typical cereal/poptart/eggos people at home so this works fine for us. Much better than paying $20-$30/day for breakfast at a food court or Denny's.

This is on my list for our trip this summer. Do you think it would be big enough for two adults and a twelve year old girl.

As for the breakfast buffet, we do not have high standards. Would you say the breakfast buffet is on par with say a Big Boy/Shoney's etc? If so that's fine with us.

Thanks for the review!

There should be plenty of room for three people. The twelve year old can sleep on the second bed in the main room or on the sofa bed in the smaller room.

I felt the breakfast was better than in most hotels with free breakfasts, though not necessarily restaurant quality. My family was pleased with it; it saved time and money compared to getting breakfast at a park or on-property resort.

I've stayed in these with 4 people many times and never had an issue. There is a living room with a sleeper and a bedroom with 2 beds. I think people take the term "suite" to heart, we aren't talking vegas here.

Thanks. It looks big enough in the pictures but I wanted to be sure. As for the breakfast we just would like some hot food items that include protein. DD and I need some protein with our breakfast or we'll be starving in no time. We enjoy the occassional breakfast buffet at Big Boy and would be fine with similar quality all week. At our last time at WDW we ate the breakfasts from the CBR food court the whole time and while not great it was decent enough quality to satisfy us.

Thanks. We just want something a little larger than the average hotel room and with a seperate area for dd, preferably that can be closed off, so this looks perfect for us. Hoping I can snag Caribe Royale for a really good price somehow as we'd really like a fun pool, but if not this should do.
