Christmas all year long!

Ann, I think your plans sound great for your AK day. I'm with you...NOT going on EE ever again (those girls better be willing to go themselves in January!).

I missed the part on your Epcot Day about Captain E0. Mark saw it last year and then he and Andy went and saw it this year. I skipped it both times...I am not an MJ fan after he got all weird, but Mark enjoyed it for old times sakes; Andy said it was "okay" -- but he wouldn't go back to it.

I would absolutely skip EO. We went back in February, as I hadn't done it since I was kid and it was there for its first go around. Why is this still in the parks? :confused3 It is terribly, terribly dated and pretty scary. Max was totally freaked out by it and was pretty quiet for several hours after. Even if Zoe didn't get scared, the rest of you might freaked out by the amount of time you've wasted. Just my opinion, though, so take it for what its worth. :lmao:

I am pretty sure we will be skipping it. Just the fact that it is a bit freaky is enough to keep me away since Zoe won't like the freaky creepy characters in it. I doubt the guys will want to go..heck if I get them to the parks it will be a small miracle so if they want to stray from my plan and go themselves..more power to them.

This Ridemax looks like I might enjoy getting on there and doing all my planning for a wonderful Christmas vacation with little to no trouble.. Yeah right i'll be there during Christmas HELLO... :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

So far I am just dealing with days that are projected to be lower crowd days. I am wondering how well the program will actually forcast those days closer to Christmas.

When we went in August the first ride we got on was EE girl that was so much fun.. of course I rode solo because we had an odd number of people in our group but WOW I can't wait to have my dh join me on this ride.. I felt it was the most smoothest roller coaster that I have been on in some time. You should give it a try sometime.
I don't like falling... or heights. I love, love LOVE BTMRR...but that really doesn't have either of those two things. I can handle Primevil Whirl cause there is only the small drop. I don't even like splash mountain... TOT... I bit Steve on it. No... I think EE would not be a good idea for me. :rotfl:

It seems like you are going to have a wonderful time at AK. I can't wait to see the Christmas parade there at AK I think that's what I look forward to the most all the parade's and the Christmas decoration. If I don't get to ride any rides that will be fine because I know that I will be back at DW in 940 days for my daughter's graduation celebration.

Yay for going back! Also..yes, all the Christmas stuff will be at the top of what I want to see or do this trip.

Yeah... Captain EO is off my list. Ya know I never read many people talk about it. It isn't like you see people say on their TRs "I ran to do Captain Eo first" and then detail their experience. I wondered if there wasn't a reason

So you braved EE and decided it wasn't for you? Yeah...I have never been, but I am pretty sure it isn't for me.

:thumbsup2 thanks!

And another question regarding park attractions we have never done...

At epcot...has anyone done Captain EO and if so is it something we should do? I have not done it. (last trip was the first time it was there and Kira refused) I have watched a brief clip on youtube, and it looks a bit... odd. Maybe a bit scary for Zoe even. Anyone have thoughts??? It is one attraction that ridemax devotes a huge wait time for. I hate waiting...and if this is something I really wouldn't like...then why wait on it.

We saw it last time and it was ok. Though DFi complained about it. He's not a MJ fan. It was kind of odd, like being in an 80s music video version of Star Trek. It's something you would do once but probably not again,

Love your AK day. That is our new favorite park! DFi loves EE. I can't wait to hear your reviews about Sanaa. I have always wanted to try it but didn't know if everyone else would be ok with it.

Now, that's another fun filled day at AK! I am really taking my hat off to you - your days are exhausting just reading about - I could never do all that! :goodvibes

You are going to love Sanaa (if you are an adventurous eater!) - we really enjoy the food there! :thumbsup2

I bite the bullet and bought ridemax today.. I started playing around with it but I have not figured out how to print or even save my schedule for the day. I think that will be the next project for me to figure out.

I like the Animal Kingdom plans, just curious--- for the EE did you think of maybe getting a fastpass so that you wouldn't have the long wait later? I like that you give yourselves time to relax and such!

I think since it doesn't really fit in with either Christmas or Disney we will be skipping it. It takes too much time and looks a bit creepy.

I really am excited about Sanaa. I am hoping it will be my favorite meal. I am dreaming about the Naan bread.

Really? I was really hoping that I was making it more low key than I have in the past. Course this day doesn't really have any substantial break. :scratchin:

I am adventurous when it comes to eating. Heights..not so much but eating  And Sanaa looks like something I must try!

I am glad that you have purchased ridemax. I have to tell you though...I don't know there is a way to save it. Notice how it opens up a web browser to list your plan? You can't save it. I wonder if you could book mark it. On the web version, it does appear to save your plan. Printing should be like printing anything. If you use the file tab and then use the "print" drop down when you usually print or if you highlight and copy and then right click...any of these ways should allow you to print. Since I am working through parallels, I usually highlight the plan...copy it and then paste it into the body of an email to myself. (so this is how I am currently saving)

We are getting a different fast pass around that time so we won't be able to get a second one. Besides, 8 minutes is not a long wait. Even when I had plans made up to include it in the end of the day, it only listed it as like a 5 minute wait. That was a good thought though...and I think i would switch to using a fp if it were not for needing one for the safari.

I saw Captain EO. I had forgotten most of it. I enjoyed it, but then I was a huge MJ fan when I was in middle and high school. Grumpy thought it was better than he expected!

Anakin made it into the preshow. But as soon as the doors opened he got over anxious and started crying, so we just kept walking out with him. So the most he saw was the theater.

I think we are just going to skip it. I appreciate the info though...some day maybe...but this trip I think it would just not fit in.

Friday, December 16th - Day 8

Having hit all 4 parks now it will be time to make a second trip to one. After getting up and having a good breakfast at Roaring Forks (paying oop for it). We will make our way to
DSC01594.jpg

So as we begin our second day in Ecpot, we will head directly to Innoventions East. I am not sure why I want to make sure to do this, but my goal is to get a 5x7 in Epcot (DV thing) each day we go. So that will be the first thing we do. :scratchin: Hmm.. now that I think about it though, I think there are set hours that this is offered  Well in any case we will walk through here to see what we didn't happen to on 12/13.

We will make a quick walk back to almost the entrance and ride

I swear I am going to try and not look like the walking dead when my picture is taken. Somehow I never look good in this picture. (who does) but last time I looked like a vampire...even snarling.

Then back to Innoventions West. I am not sure if sum of all thrills is there or in East, but where ever it is. It will be on our list of things to do this day.

Next we will head to
journeyintoimagination.jpg

I love Figment!

After this Zoe will get to play around a bit in
imageworks.jpg

Ridemax gives us 20 minutes, but I know we won't last that long.

We will then head over to WS where we HAVE to get a snack. I am not sure if it will be in Norway or in France or.... all I do know is it will be yummy.

We will spend the next couple hours milling about and trying to shop, see the story tellers, meet some characters and see street performers. Who knows how much we will get done before it is time to have our lunch.

Florida2006Mydisc2012.jpg

I have such mixed feeling about this restaurant. I think it is good. However all the hype about it kinda drove me nuts and I think is what made it go to a signature restaurant. That being said, I do like it and since Steve has never been there it was important for me to get an ADR here.

I originally booked a dinner reservation but then when the cp packages were released, I booked for a lunch and a 5pm Candlelight Processional show. So even though this will use 2 ts credits pp, I hope it will be worth it. With the package, we will get an appetizer too so that makes it a bit more worth it.

After lunch we will make our way to the the stage where CP will be.

We should have no problem being seated hopefully in a slightly better seat than this
DSCN5855.jpg

After this we will head back to the resort. We may actually nap since this is a night with EMH and we may stay up late.

After a couple hours we will head back to Epcot. We will eat dinner in WS before we make our way to the special viewing area for
Illuminations.jpg

I love illuminations, but we never seem to get a good spot to view it. I hope that the perk for booking the cp package will be a nice treat.

After illuminations is over we will decide how late we are staying and what we will be doing. Open until after midnight, and not sure if WS stays open, i can't imagine spending too much time here since there really are not that many rides in Epcot.

This day we will use 4 snack credits (leaving 24), 4 quick service credits (leaving 24) and 8 table service credits (leaving 24)

Ridemax gives us a total wait time of 68 minutes with 23 minutes of walking between rides for the day. (obviously not factoring in walking round WS :rotfl:)

Very nice day. I still don't know about this ridemax thing. It seems like sometimes it's a ton of back and forth. Like innovations to SSE back to inventions. My that's just me seeing that from a go and do commandoish perspective.

And another wonderful fun filled day at WDW!

The CP is just wonderful, Tom and I did it on our one and only Christmas time trip ...... ate at Le Cellier too! :lmao:

Your plans are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

I don't know much about Ridemax, but I let our TP subscription lapse. It expired right after our weekend vacation. We figured the most we did was 3 attractions a day at a park, so it was pointless to pay for it. I'll use EasyWDW to pick our park. But just from experience we seem to know where to avoid and when. Though maybe with cooler weather coming, my son's endurance will be longer. He's beat after 3 hours at a park. He did much better on Thursday, we had to leave because dh had to get to work, not because he was tired.

Ann, I love your Epcot plans. Like you, I love Figment. I would go to LeCellier again in a heartbeat for lunch, but I will not go back for dinner. Teh food was good, but not worth the cost since it is now a signature.

We are going to be in Epcot all day on this day too! We are spending the day in FW though.... So maybe we will pass you or something! I like the plans! And I would love to see CP when we go next time, this time I don't want to argue about it with DH (he's Buddhist). Oh but to spend the day shopping:cloud9:

yeah, I know that seemed odd to me too. however, as I mentioned, I use it as a guide line. If we walk by SSE and there is no wait we will jump and do that just because I know that even though it lists about a 25 minute wait between the two innovention buildings, I know lines dont happen and it is more of a walk through and play sort of environment...and thus we can wait a few minutes. What it might be though is that EVERYONE will be stopping at SSE so by going to innoventions first (which isnt that far away) Hanging around there for about half hour and then back the line goes down. Even if we do go back from innoventions it won't be that much of a problem since it is pretty close. It isn't like I am walking from Maelstrom to SSE and back.

Thanks! Did you get the illuminations viewing to with the package when you did it? I actually am a fair bit excited about this because I want to have a better view of the fireworks...I think the viewing area is over by England somewhere.

I think if you are trying to fit a ton in there is no need to make a detailed plan..and yes, having all the experience you do I am sure you do know where and when to go places.

I am not sure how I feel about the LC lunch menu. However, they do have good steak so yes, I am happy to be going back. I just wish it was dinner time since I am using 2dp credits on the meal.

We will be in FW for the morning a bit. If our plans mesh up, maybe we should try and ride journey into imagination together?? I know Zoe would love to spend a moment even with someone her own age. :goodvibes Looks like at about 11am.... give it some thought. If you do then maybe we can share cell numbers and text to see if it will work that day. Right after we plan to do Kodak labs (which is where JII lets out to)
