Well hello there! It's about time I started this report. I know, I'm only 3 weeks late, but I was having some picture difficulties!

But here we go. If you missed out on the boringness that was my pre-tr, here's the link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2649775

The info is scattered throughout, but here's the basics of the trip.

Leave early Friday morning, September 23rd. Check into the Clarion Inn (we added a night on at the last minute and Disney values were all booked up so we had to stay offsite). The next day check into Disney's All Star Music. Fun, fun, fun, fun. Check out October 1st. Go home :sad1:

There were some firsts on this trip. We also had to impress a newbie to Disney. Did we succeed? You'll find that out later!

We usually go in January. September is a HUGE difference. We wanted to go for the Halloween party, but man, it was HOT. I doubt we ever go during that time again. Sweaty sticky messiness.

But we did have fun and we did take a lot of pictures of course. I used my Nikon, gave Darren my Canon point and shoot to use, Flip video and our cell phones. So there will be a variety of quality in these pics, but you'll get the point. :thumbsup2

Day 1 coming up!! We got off to a bad start....:rolleyes1

We've just returned from a first trip in September and loved it! However, we have never been in January so didn't have anything to compare the weather to!

Looking forward to reading more, including what the bad start was about.

Ugh one of my smoke alarms in the house is beeping and it's driving me CRAZY!! I already changed the battery in it twice and it still won't stop. Tried holding the hush button, still nothing. Grrrrr!!

Anyway, here we go!!

Thursday, September 22nd

I had most of the packing done besides some last minute things. I was at my mom's house (she lives next door) and Brayden wanted to go home with my nephews to play (they live a couple of houses down) so I let him go so I could finish up.

Darren got off around 4 or 5pm, loaded up the car and tried to sleep a bit before we were due to leave (3am-ish). Around 8, I went to pick up Brayden. He usually throws a huge fit, not wanting to leave, but this time he just waved and said "I'm going to Disney World! Bye!"

So we get back home and both of the kids are still up and we're all watching tv and eating string cheese. Well Brayden gets a piece stuck in his throat or something because he starts choking/gagging and before I could react he threw up all over the rug. Now, I don't know if it's know, but I'm a huge emetophobe. I told him not to move and I ran to wake Darren up so he could clean him up. I don't do wel with that at all!

Darren laughs at me and still half asleep, cleans the rug. Barely. I had to go behind him with the Lysol and vinegar because he didn't do a good job at ALL. I'm ok as long as the majority is cleaned up, so it was alright. But that was the bad start I was talking about.

Darren goes back to bed and I give the kids a bath (second one of the night) and finally they settle down to sleep and I decide to just stay up instead of getting a couple hours of sleep.

At 2:13am, I go into the bedroom and wake Darren up. He playfully picked on me for waking him up 2 minutes before the alarm went off, but I didn't care. I was ready to GO!

I took a quick shower and Chris and Darren's parents were on their way. I took a picture of the moon.

And we loaded the kids up and we were on our way!

Cranky kids at 3am.

We stopped and filled up the car.

I put a movie on for the kids.

They finally dozed off so I got to get a little bit of sleep. We had a loooong drive and it's best to sleep your way through it. Not if you're the one driving, of course. ;)

Up next, the first glimpse of "the sign", a lot more pics, and a little bit a prehistoric grub! Stay tuned!
