I will be attending with a large group, but on on of the days my DH and I would like to celebrate our anniversary with an intimate dinner. I need suggestions on location and info on how to make ADR??:love::love:

You can make reservations online through Disney's website or you can call 1-407-WDW-DINE. Online is much faster.

If you want romantic and intimate, the very best place to go is Victoria & Alberts (Grand Floridian Resort by Magic Kingdom). It's the only AAA 5 diamond rated restaurant in central Florida and it ranks in the top 50 in the US. We've dined here many times and it's fantastic. There is a dress code, jacket (tie optional) for men and women should wear a dress or a dressy pantsuit. Prices for this meal are very reasonable for the quality of food and service received, especially in comparison to equally ranked restaurants across the US.

Below V&A, I rank the upscale restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin hotels (Epcot resort area) higher than any of Disney's restaurants. Because these restaurants don't participate in the dining plan, they cater to a more adult palate. My personal favorite is bluezoo because we enjoy the seafood entrees and the lounge here is phenomenal. Il Mulino (Italian) and Shulas (steak) are also wonderful choices at these resorts.

Out of the Disney restaurants, I think Citricos (at Grand Floridian) has the best combination of food, adult atmosphere and service. This is as close to "intimate" as you will find at a dining plan participating restuarant. I think Jiko (at Animal Kingdom Lodge) has a nice atmosphere but the food and service are not quite at the notch of Citricos.

My vote is for Victoria & Albert's...have eaten there twice and it can't be beat as far as romance, service and food quality...it is a dinner you'll never forget. Wherever you choose, I hope it's memorable! :)

I have never been to V and A's (although I definitely plan on it when my son is older).. I ate at Narcosse's the last time I was at Disney and it was excellent. Coming from the Northeast I am used to great seafood and I lucked out and had the best lobster I have ever eaten..
Also, Flying Fish or Yahtsman is another option... they are in the Boardwalk area..

I simply love the quick responses on these boards. I am trying to make the reservations online but it is kicking me out each time, does this mean the worst: NO AVAILABILITY???? Ahhhhh can I be waitlisted...

You should call.. I always find that if it's available I can get it by speaking with a CM... When are you going? If it is 180 days out you should find everything that you want.. you said that you were going with a big group, are you trying to book a large number of people that could also be the problem..

I am going the 1st week in Dec which is REALLY late considering the posts that I have read. I am just praying that I can get my own lil slice of Disney magic for these ADR's...on phone now :littleangel:

I know some people might disagree with me but my wife and I went to disney for our 1 year anniversary. As our last dinner before we left I wanted to make it special. I was able to make a reservations at the Coral Reef restaurant in Epcot. They gave us a table right next to the aquarium glass and the food was incredible. Will definetly go again!!!!

Vic and alberts is nice. The rest at the contemporary used to be good before the food plan. The flying fish at bwv also way up there.elegant but not as dressy as v&a

Thanks again everyone!! I called for rezzies but V&A's dont go through Disney Reservations, so I have to wait until today to make them, but I did score character dining for dinner :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

If V&A doesn't work for you, I would highly suggest Narcoossees, which is also at the Grand Floridian. By far the best restaurant at WDW, out side of V&A. It's relatively small, great location and a great atmosphere which is much more relaxed and not so formal.

We booked are Christmas trip months ago and it took till the other day to get are ADR's just the way we wanted them. I would call at least once a day to see if they had availablity and check online several times a day. I have found thru my experiences that I would book a time/restaurant just as a back up in case we could not get what we really wanted and then when we get the restaurant we would cancel the old ADR. I think ther people might do the same thing,:yay: so times & restaurants do open up. Good luck. I can't remember a time when I wasn't able to get a good reservation. So be persistant and just keep trying.
Have Fun!
